This cringe trash failure will always be a flop when fans watch it illegally and it took 9 years to have it internationally and in a few languages. fans do not matter if they don't spend on the drama. Chinese original Scarlet Heart was so impactful that its rating was over the moon in less than 1h, and it gains more than moon lovers had ever gained. And you are shamelessly defending a drama in which the actor for the king was s rap****st and the one for 14th prince was a bully, this says a lot about the kind of person you are. This drama is a trash flop, no matter ignorants could say.

At least I am not a 2yo to still waiting for something not happening because it was too trash, or being traumatised by something too idiot to know history. Adults can analyse dramas, not like childish clueless mess like you.

Watch the Chinese original Scarlet Heart, you would never say something so ridiculous. I was broke, yes, but in laughters. This remake is totally trash, zero chemistry and zero historical accuracy. ML is in love with his mother and FL is too stupid. Do you really say it when this drama has no coherence nor seriousness and historical relevance? I'm not the crazy one here.

where can i watch it?

I watched it in pair with this remake, and yes, I had the same impression of a shallow korean drama as always. I said I expected more sorrow, more depression, more anxiety. I expect a TEACHING from the drama, and again the original korean one never gave it to me, not in the past and not now. What is the teaching for real life? Tell me.
In the remake I can clearly perceive on my skin what each character is feeling, but not in the original. I criticise when I have to.
What i disliked in the original? IU was too cute to star in the drama, she is totally unrealistic to portray a beggar like FL is.
ML? Too much smiles. Brothers? Unserious. Wife and second lead? like clowns.

In the remake they did not act, they lived as the characters, they became them.
I gave the original 3 only because I like IU but as always she chose bad scripts and she is now starting to be a very actress. I don't like fairytales like children, and sorry if I disliked they comedy fairytales that My Myster was, promoting a drug addict too.

There is a big difference but unserious brainless people cannot notice it. It is a faithful adaptation indeed but the remake is more depressing and introspecting compared to the original, even the not-goofy brothers are more depressing. There is shadow of real life and beautiful wonderful adult depression casted over the whole cast, even for the wife. And THIS is what the drama should do, engulfing audience in depression and anxiety. If the original is better, why there is no su****ice case until now? and then, do you really dare to defend a drama with a controversial problematic actor as a ML? You are the hopeless one.
The plot follows the original and I agree with you on this, but this is the only point i agree. There is no opposite direction but rather than comedy ( you only see the goofyness in the remake, not adult people) they dive into depression.
In My Mister the brothers are over the top, too unserious, while in the remake they are not superficial but more extrovert than ML as they should be. In the original there is 0 introspection and relatable things, the remake is a whole thing about it

Your obejections seems to me like a fried brainless person. If comedy is NOT the centre of the drama, why in the original you define them goofy? is depression something goofy? A drama does NOT need goofyness. You should learn how real life works rather than complaining. I was disappointed in the original because it was too low in depression, I expected anxiety and real life tragedied. I expected even an outstanding drama to break the drama standard and giving hell to people in real life, real hell to the extreme point. This never happened.
