No. He was going to marry a foreign princess to save SuCi from being executed but didn’t happen and the angst of that arc last for only 1 episode thank goodness.

Yes those childish FLs are so annoying. Only mature FL I’ve seen in a long while and loved was SuCi in Maiden Holmes and LeGi in Song of Glory.

So many characters introduced in first two episodes. Does anyone know if ML eventually learns martial arts? Bit annoying he can only watch while SML keeps saving FL. Feng Beifu (crazy thief) actor is really good though.

No plot holes. A well balanced consistent drama that was an absolute joy to watch. Great characters and relationships and everything is resolved in the end. If only there were more dramas like this.

He is the baddy foreign guy that Su was performing her dance for before she drugged him and he ended up murdered by the brothel owner

No love rivals. They stay true from beginning to end. Perfect couple, great ending.

@ Dramanoona3 I finally decided to watch the last episode today as well. Was going to stop at episode 22 but since I know what to expect and while waiting for new episodes of Maiden Holmes I braced myself for the sorry excuse of an ending. Yes it’s clear they still love each other but doesn’t mean they end up together. But surprisingly I was more upset with the fact FL let the SML off so easily when he confessed it was his father that caused the destruction of the Han army while she trampled, sliced and diced the poor ML’s heart out! She even blamed the death of her maid on the ML. By then I just felt ML deserved better so was meh about the ending. What a disappointment the SML turned out to be. No character development and remained a selfish coward until the very end when he finally confessed. Least I can rely on Maiden Holmes to relieve my frustration.

Same here...loved this drama. Has a mix of everything without the unnecessary drawn out angst or crazy love rivals. Main characters are rational and sensible (majority of the time) with normal healthy relationships. Trying to watch Oh My a sweet Liar! and although funny there is so many love rivals, lies and deceptions that it’s doing my head in.

It gets resolved in next episode 23. Su regains her sanity, realise she should never have doubted Prince Qi and the make up scene makes it all worth it :-)

My initial reaction was same when Prince Qi was entertaining the Princess. Thought he didn’t appear to be suffering much with FL tortured in prison but then I realised he is a prince and knows how to play the role, hide his true emotions and needs to succeed if it is the only way to save FL. I don’t believe he would have gone through with the marriage just for diplomatic relations not when he was in love with FL. He was already trying to find a way out of having to marry one of the chosen candidates before FL was in prison. The script writers for this drama knew better than to create unnecessary angst by having ML marry the princess which is one of the reasons I love this drama.

Yes isn’t it! No crazy annoyingly obsessed love rival. Even the foreign princess turned out to be a great character. Her farewell speech to the guard she liked was so forthright and heartwarming.

@Kim MC yes to watching Maiden Holmes:-) I am watching this drama as a filler while waiting for eng sub of Maiden Holmes to be released. The wait has been torture.

3 episodes in and I’m finding it’s ok. Light, romantic comedy but already parts I felt like is dragging. FL is funny but sometimes exaggerated. I have no issues with no one able to tell FL is a female or when ML still can’t figure out she is Happy Fairy (minus fake moustache) after repainting his map from memory (it’s the norm in c dramas) but I need at least there to be chemistry between the leads which I can’t see yet and qualities in the characters that draw me in. Don’t find ML character appealing. I love strong, moody intense ML but this ML is violent, loves to have people flog! Didn’t find it funny when ML kicked FL on the butt after he had her flogged on the butt and knowing she was “pregnant” (even if it wasn’t true but he didn’t know that). I know the drama is a comedy and not to be taken seriously and maybe I’m old fashioned but it turned me off the ML. Where is the gentleman behind the ruthless/cold exterior? FL also seems quite selfish. Didn’t hesitate to threaten the doctor (her childhood friend) with exposure if he didn’t lie for her which would ruin his reputation. Will keep watching in the hope there is character development and stronger chemistry as drama progress. Maybe I am expecting too much after watching Sleepless Princess and Maiden Holmes. Both dramas had amazing chemistry between leads and characters that were likeable and endearing.

Yes he knows FL has the stone and thinks it and the book can revive the dead. He wants to revive the king’s deceased concubine (one who is laying on the stone table) who he was In love with before king found out and killed her. Obviously king didn’t know it was with him or else he would be dead too:-)
