One of the scenes that passed as a joke and no one noticed, is that his mother cut out his picture, and only put…
Just to add to the great points everyone is making I think it's so important how Toh did not change his looks throughout the series. He doesn't need to change his looks because there wasn't anything wrong with them to begin with. So he could become "better looking, cool, acceptable" by societies standards. I love the scene where the group does a kind of makeover for Toh and they keep Toh's style even if it's a more brushed up version of it. And in the beginning Nuea is doing a little bit of playful jealousy but he stops immediately when he sees that Toh isn't into it and reinforces how there's nothing wrong with how he looks. This in itself is very subversive since almost every narrative of the "ugly duckling" ends with the moral that "they were beautiful all along", just needed to conform to societies standards and now they are worthy of being loved and respected. The genius of SCOY is that they reject that notion. Most people love the Daisy storyline and support that she doesn't have to change herself for society but are not as welcoming to Toh's journey of staying true to himself. I've seem many people criticize even the fact that he kept his glasses on all the time.
To go back to the stalker claims and how Toh belongs in a mental institution or in jail I'll add one more fact to how Toh doesn't behave in such a way. He is absolutely not jealous of Nuea, quite the contrary to be honest. He never stops people who show interest in Nuea and even thinks they might be a better fit for him. Obsessive and stalkerish people go absolutely crazy if the object of their obsession is with other people and cannot deal with it even resorting to acts of violence because of it. That was never the case with Toh and Nuea. The collection Toh has comes from a place of insecurity and no self worth not of obsession or a delusional belief that Nuea is (or should be) his.

When did Porsche fall in love with Kinn? Kinn is gay but Porsche is straight. How did it get accepted so quickly?
Is he straight though? Because the show never told us what is Porsches sexuality so I wouldn't assume it.

why people are excited about epi 7 I didn't find anything interesting recently I have watched many movies or dramas…
Which ones for example? Sure, maybe you have movies dramas with better action scenes (but they are doing very well since this is not primarily an action series and they don't have the budget other productions might have) or more sensuous intimate scene (that I would dispute but whatever) but both of these things with a gay storyline and explicit gay sex scenes? lol that I would like for you to tell me where you are watching your dramas because it's pretty much a novelty and not just in Thailand.
Now, I'm enjoying the show, I don't think it's a masterpiece or perfection (but if people do that's there right) but it's kinda of stupid to ask why people are excited. Feels a little bit like "doth protest to much".....lol

It's definitely not sad at all!! lol In fact it's pretty entertaining with a happy ending (but some people can find it to be slow).

LOL those were the strengths of the show, not this simplistic view you seem to have about so many issues. Everything you put in your comment is what made this show not just great but brilliant.

It was never, absolutely never portrayed as a "mistery drama", this is not the Reply series and it never presented itself as such. I knew from the second episode that HeeDo and YiJin did not end together because her daughter didn't have his surname but most importantly the daughter has no idea who the hell this guy was (so they did not keep in tocuh even as acquaintances). To add to that HeeDo's mother tells her she met YiJin recently and HeeDo asks her how he was making even more clear that they had no contact at the present. Anyone that felt "cheated" or "misled" did it to themselves or where just in denial about what the show was hamming the viewers head every week: they will not end up together. But anyway it doesn't really matter because the drama was not about a love story but about HeeDo's life and growing up, YiJin was just one (important) part of this. I'm really sorry for the people who can't see all the amazing relationships presented in this drama and can only care about the same old "love is forever and the most important thing in life and nothing else matters". There are a thousand shows like this (and amazing too) but 25/21 is not one of them and made it clear from the very beggining it was not gonna be.

He did ;) Nuea promised he would let him TOP back in Ep 8bor so. Toh just needed to have the confidence first
I think it only works because we have the throwback scene for it that gives it meaning. Not because the author doesn't know how sex works but because it's a visual cue that reminds the viewer about the talk Nuea and Toh had about topping before in a similar setting. A lot of things can't be showed for many reasons and must be conveyed. When they kiss back in episode nine I think and Nuea put his hand on Tohs head and he goes down it's not explicitly said or shown but everyone (or most people at least) knows what it means (maybe he was just picking the glass that fell on the floor, who knows...lol). Or in this case you might take kissing someone down their abdomen as a cue for a blowjob but realistically speaking this is not necessarily how things work in real life too (but in media they surely are a visual cue that can be used like that).
The situation could have been played for laughs but it wasn't done like that exactly because they were subverting this notion. The notion that Toh toping Nuea would be inherently funny (like even his friends thought so) because he's identified as having a "feminine" demeanor against Nuea's "masculine" one and as if this has anything to do with how people choose to have sex. Or that bottoming was somehow "less" or "humiliating" that someone "manly" like Nuea would never do it willingly or casually. So not having it be funny was a very conscious choice of the show that also sends a message about all these issues.
Maybe in the West we don't have the "wife/husband" thing but gender role expectations are very much alive even in the LGBTQ community seeing the amount of discrimination that men deemed "effeminate" have to bear. I mean when Sex Education did something similar with Adam and Eric it was also lauded as a surprise and subversion of this trope that doesn't happen very often anywhere.

Title Secret Crush on You Spoiler
He did ;) Nuea promised he would let him TOP back in Ep 8bor so. Toh just needed to have the confidence first
Well, for one the scene mirrors exactly the same scene in episode 9 where Nuea says Toh can take the "husband role" if he wants to (so Nuea did say that Toh could top if he wants, in fact he showed no problem with it). Now in this scene in the finale they are in the same position as before, Toh kisses Nuea exactly in the same places and in the same way he did in the bathtub but now he does it in a "sexy way" and not in a "funny way" (it's a call back but showing how different Toh is this time, he's experienced). Toh explicitly asks Nuea, like he did before if "he may do it" and that "he wants to give it a try" which again calls back to the first time he wanted to do it but just hadn't the confidence (or practice) to go on with it. It makes absolutely no sense for him to say this for giving a blowjob since he's been doing it to Nuea since the middle of the season (and did not seem to mind it in anyway). Topping is something that Toh has expressed a desire to do more than once and he wants to try it again. Also why would he ask like that for giving a blowjob to Nuea as if it's something they have never done and that Nuea may possibly not be up too? Even the ridding doesn't make sense in the context. I mean they didn't show Nuea actually fucking Toh but no one is asking if Nuea was just riding Toh in the bathtub, the same applies here....lol
Anyway I think they were as explicit as possible for the show's rating and I don't find it ambiguous at all.
Now you are assuming that if Toh had topped it would be made a "huge deal" and for some reason be "played for humor". The thing is it wasn't done like that because they were subverting this exact trope and expectations. So no, Nuea doesn't mind bottoning for Toh and he can do it if he wants to because these gender roles expetations are so antiquated. And Thai shows have lately begun to question them. It's the same thing that happened at the end of Bad Buddy (don't read if you haven't watched) *SPOILER*
They did not say explicitly that Pran was the top in the beach scene but they implied it in every possible way because that's what they wanted to convey. END SPOILER*
By looking and the reactions and comments I think most people have understood the scene this way too, finally Toh gets to top as he wanted and as it has been teased before. I think this also makes perfect sense in a show that has subverted many other BL tropes regarding "femme" characters.

Understandably not everything is everyone's cup of tea. However, this show felt like it was brewed just for me:…
That's one of the things I liked too ,they did not make Toh "more respectable" or "less embarrassing" and "cringe" (in people's eyes of course). And that's the point isn't it? The same way Daisy shouldn't have to change because she's seem as embarrassing in the eyes of society. Just the fact that they kept Toh in his glasses through the end was enough to make some people uncomfortable with it. In many ways despite its flaws SCOY is a very subversive show.

I wholeheartedly agree!! But even as someone who has done a thesis on media representation I would say that SCOY has a lot for it going on in the many ways it has interacted with and subverted so many tropes of the genre and bringing a refreshing take on romance, queer representation and BL. Of course it's not perfect from a production or even a narrative point of view but which show is if we really look deep into it. It was a very good show that kept true to itself and to the story it wanted to tell. I think a lot of people took the show quite literally and could not get that it never expected anyone to take it seriously or from a realistically point of view, quite the contrary. But I'm sorry for them to because they missed a lot of fun.
I also love this finale like I did Bad Buddy. I left with the same smile on my face and I will surely miss it too.

me too. I was thinking they would follow her story in the novel but I guess they wanted to keep it non violent…
Wow, I had no idea, that might explain it but they could change it a bit so at least Touch and Daisy had more time together. I hope they can release their deleted scenes at least! But anyway with all the love for this couple maybe we'll get some similar pairing in the future.

Okay I get a question. Who wears his or her visual aids to the bathroom and has them on while he or she is bathing?…
Well most people that I know that can't see do that....lol except the bathing one or more accurately taking a shower. I always found it weird that people in movies/dramas wearing glasses took them off for anything.

Dear SCOY fans : Not everyone has to agree on everything, I'm one of the biggest fanatics of this series, but…
This is a public discussion forum. It makes no sense to ask people not to argue or reply each other. It's the whole point of this kind of place after all. So obviously people will want to give their opinion and convince each other and eventually it can get heated and that's fine. If they are not breaking any site rules it's fair game. I don't know what's the problem.
Now I will disagree that there weren't any toxic comments, there were some but not many and they were rightfully called out.
So let people criticize, defend and give their opinion and hear others opinions back, that's why everyone is here for anyway.

Sky and Jao’s evolution is sending me more than I thought it would! Nuea is hot, but I think I find Sky's sensuality…
I agree with you but I also think it's very fitting for their characters as well. Nuea is absolutely performing, knowingly so (and the same think goes for Toh). They both love this "roleplay" going on between them. What I like is that the series also shows that they know when to play and when to get serious like the time Toh felt insecure after doing the makeover and Nuea immediately quit playing around to talk to him. I love how they give us two couples who are very different from each other but also makes sense.

Funny thing is there are a lot less people dragging Joe on YOU and even justifying his actions (that are flat all criminal) than here dissing Toh...I also think Toh is shown to be more a hoarder than a stalker (besides taking Nuea's photos on campus, and only there, he never showed any stalking behavior).

Lol Let's calm down alright?...for someone joking you certainly sound kinda mad. I am not looking for any controversy and is anyone still using SWJ unironically in 2022?
I won't go about the numbers and statistics because someone here already told you why they are unreliable.
Now the only think I wanted to show in my comment was why media set in worlds where everyone is cis and straight do not get called a fantasy, do not elicit the same reaction as series where most characters are gay. I mean it's a fact that there is no such think as everyone being cis and straight so why do we get that about 99,9% of the time?
This is not a controversy and I got you were joking I just thought it is something worth thinking about so we can be aware of our own bias about what we dean "realistic" and what we find to be "fantastical". It's not meant as a direct answer to you but more like a general reflexion.

So this episode makes it look like a plot line is being set up for the little brother to go gay with guitar guy.…
Well, 99,9% of shows (not just BL and not just Thai but around the world) happens in a world where everybody is cis-hetero when that is so, so far from the reality we live in. In fact it's a complete fiction but that doesn't seem to bother anybody or even stand out as absurd (and it is, very much absurd). So I think it's only fair that we have shows where everyone is gay like Kinnporsche and some other BLs. Why not? People can accept time travel, superheroes, dragons and Cinderella romances but they draw the line at an all gay series? Why? I'd even called it reparations for all the exclusion LGTBQ have been suffering from media around the world.
Besides that your 3% number is way off (even if we admit that there is a way to count how many people are LGBTQ in the world and let me tell you, there isn't)

Ahhhhhh episode 11. I cringed and laughed out loud same as usual with this great show. And also shed a few tears.…
Exactly! It's interesting to see how much the depiction of people acting outside gender norms brings this kind of violent and self righteous reaction. Although it's not the depiction itself that unsettles people but that in this case fem guys/trans woman are not being mocked, made the butt of the joke or kicked to the ground. That's the problem for them. Showing these people deserve respect and are loved. So instead they take it upon themselves to mock these characters mercilessly (but in the real world it's the same way). They cannot bare to see people living their truths while they must abide to rigid gender norms to feel validated and superior.
They get a kick out of people responding to their baiting comments on the show (now it has become very clear).
The abuse this series gets is the same abuse people get in the real world when they go about it daring to defy society's expectations. This takes a kind of courage those "mascformasc" guys would never dream to have. They wouldn't be able to live one day in the shoes of the "DayZEES" of the world.
But this kind of reaction alone shows how much SCOY has already been successful in bringing these discussions to the forefront. Thankfully these hateful comments are now the minority here and elsewhere and the show has been a success. Hopefully it's just the first in many more to come that challenge perceived notions and very conservative gender norms as some kind of gospel truth.
