Episodes 5 and 6 sent this show into the gutter for me. Completely farcical writing, utterly deplorable characterisations.
Quite the contrary those two episodes were the pinnacle of the show in every aspect of it. Nothing farcical or deplorable about the writing and characterization. Are you sure you were watching this show?
The plot didn't make any sense at all - if Korn had just killed Gun, Chan wouldn't have had to die. Not to mention…
That to me was the last straw......the whole "Korn didn't die and also Porsche's mom is alive"....that was simply ridiculous, it made no sense at all that Korn would let his right hand man die for nothing. I don't know what the people responsible for this had in their head but this was BAD.....
Wow, the final episode was absolutely terrible. It was going downhill since episode 10 but it reached new levels of bad in the end. The writing was mediocre and laughable, nothing made sense and all the "plot twists" were ridiculous.....it's a pity because the actors were amazing but what a let down. I'm here hoping they won't get to do a second season cause it was embarrassing what happened in this show that really had a lot of potential.
this is really bad… I gave it a chance and watched 3 episodes because of the good reviews but I’m gonna drop…
The show is high quality in terms of production, you just don't like the style in which it was made (and that's okay), but that has nothing to do with the quality overall of the show.
SPOILER To anyone that have not reached this episode!Holy shit! This series was amazing. The deeper you look,…
I love this scene one of my favorite moments of them. I always felt it to be a very touching moment and it's so soft and full of love from Nuea. Even though they don't disclose their feelings it is a real moment of truth for them. Also one of the things I enjoy from the show is that even though Nuea seems like the stereotypical jock/hot guy on campus he is so sweet and nice and doesn't need to put on the "tough guy act".
I think you should take the spoiler tag off because more people need to read this. I don't understand the amount…
Exactly!! We are conditioned to accept certain behaviors depending on who is doing them. I do get a little sad but at the same time SCOY really succeeded against all odds so maybe there is a little hope after all!
I posted this in my review but thought I would also share here as well. This journey started a bit rocky for me…
I think you should take the spoiler tag off because more people need to read this. I don't understand the amount of hate Toh gets. In fact in most other BL and romance shows/novels we see a lot of obsessive behavior, stalking, controlling and agressive actions and people are just swooning over them because it's all portrayed and understood as romantic as even natural coming from the standard male lead. It's incredible how so many people simply cannot deal with Toh's character or story.
I find it funny how when Kinn fucked Porsche while under the influence most people where like "oh I love Kinn, it's alright, etc" but now when it's obviously a plan people are losing their shit and going "it's unforgivable".....lol To be honest I'm enjoying the show much more than I thought I would coming to it.
Vegas was looking so soft and vulnerable while talking to Porsche in the pool scene.
That's because he's a master gaslighter and manipulator. In fact I'm really liking how they are portraying this kind of person on the show cause it's pretty realistic and not how it's normally done where everyone can see it coming from a mile away.
I can't stand how creepy, effeminate, and annoying the lead actor. I can't stop cringing and had a hard time to…
Wow so you use "effeminate" as a derogatory term. It says a lot about you honestly but that's why I love SCOY because it irks people who think like you and it was still a success :)
This drama was soooo cringy. First off the ml toh was giving stalker vibe and nuera was giving toxic vibes. People…
Up to the middle of the series Sky was the typical agressive male lead dealing with the "shy" romantic prospect. He was much more "controlling and abusive" by your words than Nuea. Sky makes Jao get in the car when he clearly says no several times. He makes him go back home when they were in the bar, again after several denials from Jao. He is always coming into his space even when it's clear he is uncomfortable, the same with his "flirting". Saying he will carry him by force if he doesn't come with Sky. Doesn't it bother you when you seem to dislike this kind of behavior? Now I'm sure you will say "oh, but Jao said no when he really means yes" I mean I get that this is basically the biggest romance cliche and trope there is but let's not pretend it's anything different then agressive and controlling. On the other hand Toh and Nuea never made each other uncomfortable, they don't pressure each other to do anything the other doesn't want to and they always ask for consent with the only instance contrary to this is the scene in the waterfall where Nuea doesn't let Toh swim with the other guys. So I find it weird that you love Sky/Jao so much....
im still confused on what the plot even is about like ok she gets hot men to get more customers?? thats it really??
The plot is about a woman trying to get her life back together after having success and losing everything along the way including her best friend who has become her rival. She gets the chance to turn everything around after inheriting her late uncle's host bar. So it's not like she gets hot men to get more customers they are going there specially to "consume them". I'm pretty sure you know what a host bar is and what they do. I also believe that the series will deal with the issues the men working there have (specially the male lead) and yes there is a whole lot of eye candy, I mean it's about a strip club after all. To be honest I don't get what is there to be confused about the synopsis or the trailer.
This is too cringey , how you all servived it ?? I feel too old right now :))))
Well, since the beginning I thought it was hilarious and the cringe not to be taken seriously or realistically so it didn't bother me at all. I also love Nuea and Toh and how freaky they are...lol
One of the scenes that passed as a joke and no one noticed, is that his mother cut out his picture, and only put…
Which brings us again to the point of how important it is to showcase different kinds of people on media and telling their stories. We've been told so many times that glasses are ugly and the awkward main lead becomes attractive, confident, etc after he takes them off that if gives us whiplash when we don't get that in a story. I agree that it was very intentional the way they showed Toh's hoarding in this "over the top" way to make a point about Toh's behavioral responses. I also think a lot of people watched SCOY in a very literal way when it was always supposed to be understood as some bigger than life situations and not realistic in its execution.
