Can anyone please recommend some costume dramas (palace / xianxia / wuxia etc) to watch while waiting for new…
If you can accept more deep historical dramas with schemes, I would recommend 'The Advisors Alliance'. I have rewatched it a lot of times. It's about the Three Kingdoms period. It's focused on Cao family and Sima family. But I'm more prefer the episodes before Cao Cao died. Those ones are more exciting.
Another drama I would recommend is 'Young Blood'. It's about the spy war in Northern Song Dynasty. But it's not boring or serious, it is a half comedy like this LLTG. I love the couples in the drama. Strong male and female lead. Cute second female lead with the handsome second male lead. I have rewatched it a lot of times too.
For who are expecting adding episodes, the news from the staffs' social medias now show they are working over-time…
Actually, this drama was not planned to be released on July. The drama on the plan is another drama at first, but there's some problems happened to that drama. So this drama is carried out in advance.
That's why you find there's no Advertisements, no Osts in the drama. It's still in post-production (plus deleting the knots). We 're very lucky to watch it in July, otherwise it may come in autumn or winter.
For who are expecting adding episodes, the news from the staffs' social medias now show they are working over-time to editing this drama, but the labours are limited. So they are not able to speed up. The director Fei is also very responsible for this drama, he's supervising the editing staffs and work with them. So don't worry about the quality after editing. Someone said one of the computers is too hot, it even burnt. π±
My fellow~ I understand what you are worried about. Imagine this picture: Some costume dramas have mixed up Chinese…
Haha~ But I think the investors of drama would try to find another way to release it, coz it's such a huge amount of investment and so many amazing casts!

Yes. I agree the policies should be applied to those afterwards. It's really sad for those fantastic dramas already made. I'm also waiting for the 'Immortality'. If it can be sold to Netflix, that would be great.
I know we all sad waiting 4 days for new episodes... but now so many costume dramas postponed, because of issues…
My fellow~ I understand what you are worried about.
Imagine this picture: Some costume dramas have mixed up Chinese elements and Japanese elements. Then after decades, the next generations will think these elements all belong to China and forget what the Chinese original elements were? What truly exist in Chinese history?
So this is a serious culture issue. This censorship of drama is not only benefit for China, but also good for other cultures.
This is my opinion only for the culture elements. For other issues like time travel, that's another topic.
I'm just express my concern, coz I love the history and culture. π

Oh, I forgot to tell you the screenwriter of 'Young Blood' is also the one of 'Joy of life'. 'Young Blood' will have season two. Here's a link of the drama's FMV on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTQbaCZUvx8&list=PLCqkpq3qLM-H90AXKTCkIuTzOhNaP4QIh
I highly recommend it!!!π
