God I really wanted to hug oh aew when he was told he was too girly :/ that's such a shitty and ignorant thing to say but it's so real because even though it's 2021 we still have a long way to go in terms of getting rid of gender roles I just hope oh aew doesn't try and change himself to fit some ignorant twat's idea of how a man should look or act and that he's absolutely perfect the way he is.
Ok ngl teh really annoyed me this episode he's so stubborn to the point where he's blind to how he's hurting the people he loves. Naturally university life is different than high school there's alot more freedom and it's the place where you can express yourself and for oh aew who was initially very hesitant and homesick in bangkok - is finally blossoming and coming into his own, this is very abrupt and scary for teh who's clearly under the impression that people can only have one 'dream' in their lifetime and that if they change that 'dream' or change their minds it means that they've given up which is obviously not true. Anyways sorry for the rant I just had a lot of feelings after finishing that episode and I need to dump them somewhere lmao. Anyways guys give me your theories what do you think is gonna happen in the next episode?

Firstly, this is a fictional movie/drama and you getting this worked up and angry about it only reflects the type of person YOU are not me. My comment doesn't at all convey the type of person I am so while your assumptions about me were admittedly hilarious and I did have a laugh, they are not accurate at all because you do not know me. Secondly, my opinion on this movie and its story is mine and mine alone and no amount of ranting you do will change that. If you do not agree with my opinion you are more than welcome to contend it in a mature manner and not like a 13 year old teenager like you've been doing. Just keep in mind that whatever you say/do will not affect me or my life in any way because at the end of the day, this is a fictional movie and these are fictional characters and you are a random stranger so for your own sanity, please go outside and touch some grass.

There were other ways for him to come out rather than hurt everyone he supposedly ‘loved’ but in short, yes. I don’t want him to be forgiven because I don’t think he deserved it. In real life, people don’t get second chances because they often don’t deserve it and he definitely didn’t. Also shun could’ve easily moved on with someone else but the writers didn’t let us see him progress in that way because they wanted to give nagisa his redemption arc at the expense of shun’s pain and they could’ve easily made it so that shun forgave nagisa without having to take him back. So if that makes me a ‘judgmental, bitter angry person’ like you said then so be it :) and fyi nagisa giving his wife custody of sora is the ONLY truely selfless thing he did.
Ok so from the looks of episode 1, oh aew and teh started drifting apart when teh got busy with his work and oh aew became lonely aweeee this is such a realistic and painful scenario because neither of them are technically doing anything wrong because they're each finding their own paths but at the same time it's hard to deal with the fact that one of them looks like he's thriving with university life while the other feels like he's stuck in the same place and is having a hard time making friends I can totally relate T_T and uhh I didn't understand this when I was watching the beginning of the episode but when teh bought those condoms did he actually use them? kdkskjddk
This is very refreshing to see because unlike other Asian countries, Taiwan has come a LONG way in terms of its LGBTQ+ progress (with it being the only Asian country to legalise same-sex marriage) so I'm definitely excited to see how they'll monopolise that fact in terms of creative freedom and hopefully we'll see a perspective we've never seen before!
I tried to be understanding of Nagisa's reasoning for breaking up with shun I really did, but then the way he went about with 'figuring himself out' with cheating on his wife and sleeping with multiple men somehow made him start to question his marriage like HUH???? The nagisa from the tv series was sure of his sexuality and he already knew he'd never be able to look at women in that way so his character in the movie confused me so much it was so frustrating. Also the nerve of him to come to Shun years after their breakup pissed me off like not only did he ASSUME that shun would be ok with it he also brought his DAUGHTER with him shoving it in his face of the life he lead after abandoning him and all the men he slept with to fill the hole he felt being in a marriage he CHOSE to be in. Shun should've moved on with someone else because all I learned from this movie is that even if you continously fuck up and hurt people, you can still be made to look like a victim because the people you hurt will forgive you.
