Why can't they release all episodes right now 😭😭 I have no idea where I'm finding the strength to let this amazing show marinate so I can binge the whole thing 😭
BL writers should really teach themselves gay dynamics. Gay sex don’t require top/btm
I kinda agree with this actually. But in this particular case, I think it was done/written really well. Both Sugiki and Suzuki ‘lead’ their dance partners in their respective genres. So because their relationship started because of dance, their need for control and dominance to ‘lead’ also kind of transferred into their sex life. One of the main hurdles in their relationship is their refusal to bend to the other’s dance style/technique because they’re stubborn and prideful.
Coming back here just to clarify since I see a lot of people asking/wondering about why they didn’t have sex considering they were both clearly VERY attracted to each other. This is actually a huge point of contention for them in the manga, both of them consider themselves dominant in and out of bed.
So, falling for a man to them meant one of them would have to agree to be the bottom (in their heads, bottoming meant losing out) and neither of them wanted to make that compromise. This led to them breaking up and going their separate ways for a little bit (some sleeping around with other people happens which I wasn’t a huge fan of).
But they ultimately re-unite and Suzuki is now very open to bottoming for Sugiki because he’s crazy in love with him (even going as far as to send him some tasteful almost-nudes to make him horny and get him into bed 😂). And although he wanted to send a dick pic, he held himself back because he didn’t want to scare Sugiki off lol
What an incredible movie, I was captivated from the very beginning. For me, Ryoma stole the show, he really encompassed everything about latin dance in his character; from the pure sex appeal to the subtle seductive moves (it also helped that he took his shirt off at every chance possible and showed off that snatched slutty waist).
The chemistry between the two men was so good, I was basically covering my eyes every time they danced together because of the raw intimacy. Also that train scene??? SOOO sexy and well shot (although I did get a bit dizzy when they started dancing while the train was moving 😂). As a manga reader, I think they were pretty loyal to the original source material with the limited movie time they had available at hand. I'm lowkey glad they didn't include some of the more ummm unsavoury aspects that happened in the more recent chapters of the manga...
The ending left a lot to be desired tbh but I feel pretty okay with where they left off, and while I'd obviously love a sequel, I'm not too hung up on how they concluded things.
I can't believe on my first watch of this series, I thought Yoh was being treated badly but the whole time he was just super depressed and sexually frustrated during rainy days because it meant him and Mizuki won't have sex for a while lmaoooo. How does that one J.Cole song go ~~ don't save her, she don't wanna be saved 😂😂
Hiiiii, for anyone asking on how to watch this through the official TVer link, I had the same issue at the start until I finessed a way to do it. This works best if you're using a chrome browser through a PC/laptop.
2. Once the app is set up and you're able to see the extenion icon in the top rightcorner of your extensions menu, click on it and choose the Japan location and then click on the toggle to turn the VPN on.
3. Once it says that the VPN is connected to Japan, you're good to access the TVer link through here --> https://tver.jp/series/sriccbvyov. It'll ask you to put in some info like your post code (has to be japanese) and D.O.B. I just searched up a random Osaka post code (5300001) and inputted it in with my DOB. You only need to do this at the start, it won't ask you to input this info again after that.
4. If you're wondering about the subtitles, I'm just making do with the auto translated captions for now, the translation is super dodgy but I can roughly understand them because I've trained myself over the years with all the japanese media I consumed to understand it.
Obviously, you can choose to wait for the fan subs on unofficial sites if you like, but I personally think it's always best to go through official channels to support the people who made the show. If you have any questions, please let me know... happy watching folks!! 🥰
I LOVE shows with an established couple storyline, it gives it a nice domestic feel. You don't have to go through the angst of chasing/establishing a relationship so you can actually just pay attention to the investigative side of their jobs while also seeing them come home to each other... it gives off the same serene vibe as 'What Did You Eat Yesterday?'
Hello!Chi Cheng is supposed to be twisted, and this scene greatly establishes that. In the beginning he will also…
This is a bit late; sorry about that!
To answer your question about Lhong from TT,, no I didn’t drop it. Believe it or not, a lot of fucked up stuff other than the gang rape went down in that show that really made me scratch my head to the point of near hair loss lol
I stuck with it because I enjoyed the progression of the mains relationship and thankfully had a beautiful payout at the end (they got married). 😊
Yes, he dies and even better he dies at both the hands of Fu Yi Xiao and Ning Fei (the two people he betrayed) who stab him at the same time. Fitting death for a traitor imo...
Damn they could've at least let Xiyang's unborn child live 😭😭 I know it's unlikely since she was stabbed in the stomach but I would've been happy with whatever bullshit excuse they would've come up with, it wouldn't have been the craziest thing to happen in this show lol
Ok final thoughts now that I'm done with the whole show and had some time to think over my thoughts
Firstly, the 1st episode really shocked me, especially that gang rape scene. I still think it was really unnecessary and should've never made it into the final cut, even though it was pulled from the novel. It really ruined Chi Cheng for me for like 15 episodes. I hated even looking at him, even his pretty face couldn't save him. Ultimately it was his relationship with WSW that kind of redeemed him, and I admit, I considered his time in jail as my own justice for his fucked up behaviour at the beginning.
The storyline was pretty good, the plot's not super duper original tbh, I've probably read about a dozen manhwas with the same plot. The acting was really good, especially Tian Xu Ning. I wasn't a huge fan of him, but that's a testament to how well he did his job, so I really applaud him there. None of the characters in this show were angels, and I love how they really showcased that here. Every single person was flawed, but it doesn't mean that they didn't deserve love or happiness.
Also, CC and GCY's weird and kind of sexual relationship really had me questioning who the couple was, their crazy chemistry didn't help at all lol. I did my research and apparently, what they showed us in the show (i.e. the smooching) wasn't even all of it. In the novel, they had a threesome with WS, and even masturbated together when CC was staying at GCY's apartment during his and WSW's brief breakup... like wtf??? No wonder WS felt like a 3rd wheel with those two. They need some serious boundaries...
Overall, a solid 8/10. I'm probs in the minority who thinks this show's current rating is fair lol

1. Download this free VPN chrome extension called Bright VPN. It'll ask you to install and set up the official app in order for the extension to work, so you need to follow along.
