There's been theories saying that he's actually an identical twin of the now dead crown prince... this theory makes the most sense imo because you can see how resentful and jealous he actually is that Prince Rui was so loved by their mother the Dowager Empress by his reaction to her wanting to go see Prince Rui's corpse.

But also I’m a sucker for these investigation/crime genre type shows so as long as there’s some heinous crimes being solved I’m so down

I feel like tonight’s eps were super filler episodes in terms of plot and action but maybe I’ve just been spoilt by how excellent the past episodes were that I’m not used to the quieter ones… we don’t have many episodes left till the end so I wonder when they’ll wrap up this culty case by since we still need episodes for the Prince Jing/Shen case to be solved 🤔

I don’t really understand the relationship between gyeonu and that evil shaman lady, is she his mum or something?! Maybe I missed something but I just don’t understand her beef with him and her need for him to suffer. Even going as far as to curse his grandma’s soul and even causing her untimely death….

Usually I'd disagree because China has very strict censorship laws but in this show's case, it's not just kissing that they're depriving us of but also just an actual confession scene like I don't understand why the FL just won't budge on this end.

She knows the ML feels the same as her but she refuses to reciprocate or make a move. She knows the ball's in her court and is flat out refusing to do a single thing about it. The yearning glances and cheek touches get old and boring after a while tbh...

Oh yeah you're completely right. But I also think part of it is his inability to recognise and acknowledge the fact that he's been wrong about NH all these years. He holds himself to a high moral ground so anything that goes against that to him must be everyone else's fault but his.

And alsooo fvck CGH, it's clear that his current resentment stems from feeling inferior to NH. He's been presented with a mountain of evidence in support of NH but he's still riding on his high horse thinking that NH owes him some cosmic debt. I wish NH can tell him to fuck off in one of their interactions because he's been getting on my nerves since I first saw his dumb face with that infinite holier than tho attitude and I hope someone knocks him down a few pegs soon.

Like there isn't a logical explanation or justification for ever suspecting a child of that and then exposing them to years of abuse and neglect. And now that he's finally been able to clear his name, we're expected to just forgive probably the worst father in cdrama world just because he finally became a sub-par dad??
