So it's confirmed that it was genuinely cheating on teh's part I don't wanna hear any more bullshit of him not realising what he's doing to oh aew, he knows exactly what he was doing like there was so many scenes of him in episode 4 pining after jai (and even confessing to him LIKE??) so their breakup was LONG overdue I'm just shocked that after all those longing glances he kept throwing at jai, he still had the gall to say to oh aew that he didn't want to break up. Also the parralels of itsay's ep4 and ipytm ep4, very very clever on the director's part. Now I just want oh aew to have his hot boy summer because he deserves it.
Rooting for Oh-Aew to break up with Teh and he goes see Q and they end up together.
Personally, I think it's better for him to stay single and not jump into another relationship so soon yk? I mean he's still young and not that there's anything wrong with being monogomous or tied down in a relationship i definitely think it'll do him some good to just meet different people casually since he's been together with the same guy for years :)
Well we definitely know that episode 4's where the car breakup is going to happen (as we saw from the bits and pieces on the trailer) I just wonder if it'll be as satisfying as we'd hope. Oh aew's had to hold himself back from speaking his mind on several occasions because he didn't want to jeodpardise his relationship with teh so it'll be interesting to see him finally stand up for himself and show teh that he's not a doormat he can just walk all over when he wants.
Here you guys go, episode 3 subbed:Part 1: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x81vmbsPart 2: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x81vnsw
Watching it subbed was so much worse than watching it raw because now I know everything that happened and I had to constantly remind myself that this was just a show and they were all just fictional characters because I kept getting worked up T_T
I think y’all need to understand that ipytm is portraying realistic things that happen in real life with queer…
Of course you’re right but most relationships also don’t include cheating they could’ve easily made the main conflict something else but they chose to be lazy and add a cheating plot for dramatic purposes. The only thing this is gonna do is reinforce the negative stereotype that gay men can’t stay committed in a relationship.
Anyways I’ve lost all respect for teh, I wouldn’t mind if they gave him a redemption arc (which they surely will) but I don’t see any potential in his and oh aew’s relationship anymore and I saw this coming from when he didn’t even hesitate to gaslight and throw oh aew under the bus during that dinner with top khim and jai. Maybe they could go back to being friends but that’s it.
Thanks for giving me a lot to think about. I ... could understand where the comment came from. And I have thought…
Of course you’re completely right. Calling a person girly isn’t an insult but you also can’t deny that it carries negative connotations especially when it’s aimed at gay men who have had to endure hurtful name calling and slurs for decades, in that context, the word ‘girly’ is deeply rooted in homophobia and misogyny and until we take away the hurtful power behind these kinds of words, we won’t be able to appreciate their full meaning you know what I mean? :)
Just as food for throught, though I agree with your point, BL is also hugely reinforcing gender roles with the…
You couldn’t have said it better IMO. Most mlm and wlw relationships on TV are catered towards straight cisgender people and doesn’t really accurately portray real-life relationships, it also doesn’t help that most BL audience are straight women who fetishise mlm relationships with top/bottom roles to the point the creators of those shows start to think that it’s ok to reinforce those stereotypes where two men can’t be in a loving relationship with each other without one of them taking on the role or persona of a woman. Heteronormativity is going to kill me one day istg :(
TJS's peformance in Move to Heaven was amazing and so incredibly heartfelt so it lead me into a rabbit hole of his discography so here I am! So far I'm loving this I hope it continues on this level
I just saw a preview to ep 3 and I really don’t want to watch it now. As soon as a couple show any cracks in…
Keep in mind that nadao likes to purposefully lead us in other directions and and make us misunderstand, the series trailer for one is a perfect example of that. All the major conflict that was shown in that trailer has already passed and it wasn't even what we guessed it would be (like Oh aew and Jai when Oh stared at him in that one scene in the theatre, everyone was thinking it meant he's gonna cheat on Teh but when the episode came out it wasn't what any of us guessed). The editing is meant to make us all scared so don't fall for it!!
