idk I'm very on the fence about shinwoo he hasn't really given me any reason to like him yet but then again only two eps have been released so it's very premature of me to assume that he won't develop as a character
At first I want to say how nice this drama for being bully free, but after I see ep 3 preview I'm not sure anymore.…
I don't about how true the 'bully free' thing is when shinwoo is kind off giving bully vibes with all the mean and snide comments he's making about taekyung
Overlooking all the problematic shit present in this show it's actually really well-acted and the chemistry between Bboom and Jin is intense. The plot's confusing for sure but it weirdly captures you and makes you want to binge the whole thing. Not a fan of the love triangle (????) - Jin and Bboom are dating and really like e/o so I'm not sure if it can be called a love triangle but there is a dude trying to come between them although I'm not sure why this dude's there since they don't really need a catalyst to make them 'realise' their feelings because they already have. Also look likes Jin is starting to take Bboom for granted a bit thinking he can act the same way and Bboom will never break up with hum so hoepfully they don't break up because of it and Jin gets his shit together.
Been planning on watching this for a LONG time now but looking at the tags even everybody's comments I'm thinking I shouldn't :/ need to be in a certain headspace to be able to digest all the graphic things in this show
I'm with you. What I think was missing was the quirkiness, sense of magic, and emotional authenticity. I didn't…
Exactly. Teh was awkward and impulsive in itsay but those kinds of characteristics made his character so much more lovable for me because who wasn't awkward and dumb as a teenager you know? The let down for me in terms of his character was the fact that he remained the same well into adulthood I expected some maturing and growing up to happen since he wasn't in high school any longer but he sadly remained the same impulsive boy he was.
And omgggg Q, people like him simply don't exist in real life. Despite the fact that he had feelings for Oh Aew he didn't let those feelings compromise his friendship with him and accepted his rejection graciously and even remained friends with him despite that... I wanted to shed tears for him but then again people like Q usually get snatched up very quickly so I'm not too worried for him haha
After sleeping on episode 5, my mind is clear now and I can truly say this without bias, ipytm was simply not as good as itsay imo. So many of the aspects and themes that made itsay so relatable and well-loved were undoubtedly missing in ipyrm. Now this might be due to the new team or maybe something else I can't quite name, but as much as I tried to love and enjoy ipytm, it simply wasn't enough to live up to its predecessor in terms of quality OR story which is quite surprising because ipytm being set in university should have been more relatable to me since I'm of that age but I somehow still found itsay which covered their teenage years more relatable even thought I'm in my 20's.
Now despite all I've said, ipytm is still a great and solid sequel and was wrapped up quite nicely no one can doubt that. BK and PP have both been outstanding along with everyone else in the cast as well as the production team and staff. They've brought something so incredibly special for us queer folk and I hope they know how much they've impacted each and every one of us with this masterpiece.
From the looks of all the spoilers on here and on twitter it doesn't seem like I'm missing much lmao just happy we got a glimpse of bas, funny thing is my stance is still that oh aew and him deserved another chance at their love and I'll forever be mad at the fact that we didn't get to see that. Anyways I'm gonna go binge the lates ep of hospital playlist while ipytm ep 5 gets subbed :)
GMMTV has been coughing up hella BL's this year lmao and tbh most of them have been either a hit or miss (with majority being a miss), so I'm hoping this one will be different I do love a good enemies to lovers tho!
IF they do get back together I don't want it to be easily done I want to see Teh grovel and work hard to earn back Oh Aew's forgiveness even if it takes him a long ass time, it'll be unrealistic and inaccurate if they get them back together as soon as Teh apologises for all the heartache he's caused (it does look like Teh's already paying for his mistake because despite getting what he's always wanted career wise, he still feels empty without Oh Aew so I'm glad he's feeling the pain because he deserves it - I sound hella sadisitic here lmao). We also have to keep in mind that they're both working adults now so I hope we see some character development and changes to show that, and not just their appearance being aged up.
People are a little too tough on Teh. I think he has not even really cheated on Oh-Aew yet. He's committed the…
I respectfully disagree. Now I don't know what extremely low standards you're holding teh to that you don't even consider him kissing another man while in a monogomous relationship as cheating. He DID cheat, several times actually. Kissing Jai is one thing, but he repeatedly ignored Oh aew in favour of Jai, hell he did it right in front of his face even. Now if they were in a poly or open relationship I would understand him straying because he's not only doing it on his terms he would be doing it without oh aew's knowledge and intentionally going behind his back too. Anyone with a sane mind would classify that as cheating, him being 'manipulated' by Jai is a problem for sure, but if we're being realistic, Jai wouldn't have been able to manipulate him as badly as he did if there weren't feelings there in the first place.
Now I acknowledge we're all human, and we easily make stupid mistakes and catch feelings for other people while in 'committed' relationships. But ever since season 1, teh has been impulsive and irrational, he comes across any challenge and he loses all sense of logic and thought. He's immature and childish and while his passion for acting is admirable, he lets it conquer everything in his life, he has not grown up at all. He doesn't know how to control his emotions and constantly lets his impulsive feelings get the best of him and he ends up hurting the people he loves without thinking of the consequences of his actions. However, he does know when to apologise, something I like a lot about him.
Also I just wanna make something else clear, oh aew being sensitive does not mean he is 'fragile' he is just as strong as teh. Just because he changed majors early on does not mean that he is not as passionate about his work as him. And what oh aew faced wasn't just rejection, it was more than that, he was constantly emasculated and shamed for his femininity, him changing majors helped him explore other sides of himself and he was able to become more comfortable in his own skin because of it. He's not a delicate flower for choosing to change majors and doing what he is good at. It's a blessing for anyone to find something they like and even more rare something they like AND can make a career out of. Just because he is not unhealthily obsessed with his craft as teh is does not mean he is not as passionate about it. Unlike teh, he knows how to saparate his professional life from his personal.
Totally up for Oh Aew’s hot boy summer lol. I’m too scared to watch the episode after all the spoilersss
I haven't watched the full thing either I spoiled it for myself because I'm impatient and I needed to see a breakup or some kind of confrotation so I can sleep peacefully tonight lmao
