Shen fei death was so unnecessary, many other people they could have killed but nah. Liu feng would have been…
As useless as Liu Feng is as a character, there is no reason for him to be killed since he’s not involved with the investigation. And Shen Fei died saving ErLang…. Liu Feng would never. Him dying would’ve made even less sense.
I’m wondering what happened to a the other 8 kids 😂… that is if 10 is the youngest.
One of these days I’m going to write a long post defending Liu Ran since she gets so much flack… I don’t find anything wrong with being a devoted wife so 🤷🏻♀️ And I actually understand her motivations so it’s not a case of female character doing stupid things for no good reason. But to each their own.

Seriously, the Liu family situation makes no sense. Liu Ran is the 7th child, but the story treated her as if she’s an only child and that her closest relative is her doting uncle when she’s got all these other siblings out there? And none of them came to the wedding? 😅 pretty glaring plot hole. I personally love Liu Ran but it’s clear she only exists to prop up Baili Hongyi and facilitate his character growth.
So have we moved on from the melodrama with GBZ now? All that moping and constant flashbacks was really tedious and draggy. But I’m sure something terrible will happen with his long lost sister to give him more whump. 🙄
I don't get the hate about Liu Ran, I like how the actress is portraying this role. It's not as if her role is…
I don’t either. People are being too hard on her. She’s not stupid, just clueless b/c her husband doesn’t like to share things with her. The problem is not her, it’s their lack of communication.
I am also at ep. 8.I was laughing hard about the unverified "olden ways" of serving aristocrats using sushi conveyor…
Actually I'm not sure how "unverified" it is. This is not the first time I've seen food served like this. Li Ziqi had a whole video of creating such a table (https://youtu.be/RagTZHPrn_o). Reading some of the comments on her video, seems like there is historical reference for this type of service although it seemed to have originated from drinking rather than eating.
Wang yibo should not have done this role. He's like supporting character in this series.
I really respect Yibo b/c based on his popularity, he could’ve easily taken a leading role in any of the the multitude of idol dramas and his fanbase would’ve been satisfied with that. It would’ve been easy money for him. But he’s smart. He knows that easy road would be very short lived. He wants to be a serious actor, not just an idol actor. It reflects in the choices of roles he’s chosen for himself. He knows there’s much for him to learn and the best way is to learn with good roles, good productions and good actors. He’s humble and doesn’t care about billing. If you are a fan, you should trust in his choices and support his pursuit for a lasting acting career.
Thank goodness there's pause in GBZ and WSY's romance! My drama watch buddies thought it wasn't organic and moving…
I have to agree on GBZ and WSY pairing. I like their dynamic better w/o the romance. WSY can still empathize with his sad painful history without her being in love with him. Episode 13 & 14 were a real drag b/c of them. It was the first time I felt the urge to fast forward in this drama.
What is considered a social interaction? It’s not number of views, right? Because 10 millions views in 5 days…
The only place I’ve seen using that feature was Viki but they tried to put the text up top so it’s not interfering with the video. I’m glad this is not a thing in the US, it’s so distracting.

I saw this from another tweet, the 10,000 mark was for barrage, which is the wall of texts you’d see if you watch in China and with comments turned on.
Suddenly so many siblings come out of the woodwork… where’s Erlang’s gege?
