This is indeed very boring. I'm still watching it but only b/c I have nothing else to watch at the moment. I don't really care about what happens at all lol, not even whether ML & FL get back together or not. I kind of don't find them to have much chemistry. I liked them better when they were co-workers trading knowledge with each other.

LMAO Did I miss something? Seems like I blink and all of a sudden Jia Xin is now in love with 2ML? Ridiculous.

2ML is soooooo freaking annoying. It’s none of his freaking business why ML & FL broke up. The way he’s inserting himself as a 3rd wheel in that relationship. He’s acting as if he “gave” FL to ML and now that they broke up, he feels the ML “owes” him an explanation. As if the FL didn’t outright reject him in the first place. He is the most toxic of men. But FL needs to set boundaries which she is not doing. She’s basically enabling his behavior.

I am enjoying Mo Li & Jia Xian’s relationship more. I thought Jia Xin was really annoying and immature in the beginning but it’s perfect when pair with Mo Li. Mo Li needs a pushy character like her to open up her worldview.

And there won’t be any in future projects either. Very apparent he’s staying away from those types of scripts.

On episode 9 rn and the FL is annoying me so much. She is definitely immature. Her confession scene to her father… like dad didn’t even say anything and she’s bawling her eyes out? If you have to balls to go into a taboo-ish relationship then have the balls to own up to it. In the end she couldn’t even tell him she’s in love with the ML. Ugh.

Seems like a lot of people came from watching Fall Into Your Smile. Frankly, if they liked that drama I can see why they wouldn’t like this since Gank Your Heart is not fluffy romance. There’s so much more about ML & FL’s growth as people and in their professional careers. If they like sugary things with no substance then of course a real storyline wouldn’t appeal to them.

All these comments about Falling Into Your Smile… I couldn’t stomach that so if you love that drama, then Gank Your Heart will probably not be your cup of tea.

There is real conflict in this drama, the ML & FL don’t get pushed together under ridiculous circumstances. They really dislike each other from the start due misunderstandings. They actually fall in love naturally after being friends. Their relationship is not smooth. Their career paths are not smooth. There is failure, conflict and redemption. There’s actually substance to the storyline.

Well it’s all just rumors at this point. I think if a good script was offered to him, he’d take it even if it’s a tv drama. I am hoping iQIYI will offer him one from their Light On series. But yeah, if he’s only given crappy idol dramas then he’d be better off looking at movies.

That’s a good point. I had forgotten the adaptation aspect of it. If they omitted the romance, book fans would be all up in arms about it lol
