I don't like Ziang's brother, nor do I want the protagonists to end up together. Ziang's love has become obsessive.…
Why ask for judgement? Your comment is logical. I believe he becomes more obsessive the more ill he becomes. As in, a fear that poison will take him before he can be with his love again. However, as these two are fictional, I wanted them to defy the odds and logic to have a HEA.
Need to read this one does anyone have the novel please
Hint for future reference: Whenever the series is based on a novel, there will probably be a link in the 'Recent Discussions' section. Some kind soul will create a discussion topic titled 'novel' or something of the sort. The link for this novel has been up for three full weeks.
But, Jesus, he screamed it like a WW2 JP Imperial commander about to cut off a soldier's head for fucking up in…
huh? My dude, the "urge" you speak of is simply a recognition that we're seeing things from Shinichiro's POV. We do not have the father's point of view but the writers, director, and actors made sure to give us hints. This is not real life, it is fiction— therefore, these are not to be overlooked. "Repressive effects of it's blazing homophobia" where?! I've never had a negative experience regarding my ridiculously open queerness. So, consider that your POV is flawed. It's okay to disagree— we consume the same piece of media differently. It's not okay to do personal attacks. My comments were all about the FICTIONAL drama and characters, were they not?

I never read fury. I read frustration....and to be honest, even he finds himself frustrating at times. The whole family realises the dad isn't a great communicator...maybe they're too much alike. Also, he caught his son kissing someone he didn't know behind a house on their street. That's... in all my years living in Japan, I've never seen anyone making out on the streets. I've seen teens holding hands, sitting in laps, but never making out. That's a shock, too. When he said he was with Mashiro because he liked him, he also yelled at his dad to stay out of it. Like, if he'd just said he liked Mashiro, that would have been okay. His dad was right— asking him to stay out of it was ridiculous.
How is it queerbaiting when it's filled with queer characters? Nothing about the setup told us the two male leads…
What are you on about? The show is remarkably heavy handed with how queer it is. On the entire team, there's only one heterosexual character. The synopsis tells you it's a love triangle and the moment you meet the main character, you realise he's straight. There is no baiting. You've wrongly imagined this to be a BL when neither the synopsis, trailer nor poster indicates it as such. This show is hella queer. Like, I've got multiple letters and I was rolling my eyes at how queer it was.
What are the chances the drama changed the second couple's storyline so it's not so sad and torturous? I need them together before the extras. No new adult characters (you know the ones)
