Why did the ML pull something off his belt when he was proposing to her? Did anyone see what that was?
That's the Marquis Wu An badge. A badge to identify him and to command the army.

The most similar ones are 'Prisoner of Beauty' and 'Love Like The Galaxy'. Both are also in the historical, romance…
Have you watched 'New Life Begins'? Same FL. It's in the historical and romance genre but not quite similar to POJ.

Other than 'Blossoms'(same director as pursuit of jade) the rest isn't similar to POJ. Even blossoms is quite different.

Back in the day, the shows I watch and follow would release one episode per week. Nowadays, everyone is spoiled by Cdramas - Even one episode per day isn't enough. My mom came in my room asking what happened to the other episode and before i can finish my sentence, she stormed back out like the TV network owes her money. Folks, enjoy the show like slowly sipping on fine wine - chugging is unhealthy.

can someone give me examples of S and S+ dramas? i know it means a high budget and excellent casts, but what shows?
Some of the highest budget Cdramas that i know of are the following:

1. The Rebel Princess
2. Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy
3. Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace
4. The Longest day in Chang'an
5. Novoland: Eagle Flag
6. Luoyang
7. The Rise of the Phoenixes
8. The Story of Yanxi Palace
9. Empress of China
10. The Legend of Fei

...and many more
Some of these were close to or even over 100 million dollars.

good day, everyone! i beg your pardon to suddenly say this, but can you please not watch c-dramas on the chinese…
I would support your political views if the Filipinos were neutral and didn't ally itself with the USA - Letting them build military bases on your land to form the first island chain from the Kuril Islands, the Japanese archipelago, the Ryukyu Islands, Taiwan, the northern Philippines, and Borneo in hopes on encircling China militarily and disrupt their trading route. Remove yourself from the chess broad for a moment and look at the perspective of Beijing - would you just sit there and do nothing? Do yourself a favor and google image search on "how many US military bases are now encircling China". Just like whats happening between Russia and Ukraine, it isn't as simple as black and white - When you have NATO overthrowing a democratically elected government in Ukraine in 2014 and pushes Ukraine to join NATO, what would you expect Russia to do? If the Russians overthrew the Canadian government and plans to build military bases in Canada, you think the USA would just sit around? Look what happened to Cuba.

You guys have no moral high grounds when you gave your land to a foreign government to encircle another. And to think that you guys fully support a country that has completely destroyed the Middle East on false accusations, funding color revolutions to overthrow any government that doesn't align with the interests in Washington and now supplying weapons to a country that is committing gen***de in Gaza.

I'm listening to a song from the OST called 'When Fragrance Falls, Pear Blossoms Turn White', and I have to ask...is…
It's always the ignorant folks who view other countries with a narcissistic lens - Deciding whats best for people living in another country, in this case, a political system. and undermining what those people think whats best for themselves. Who exactly has the 'authoritarian' mindset here? Many international institutions like the World Federation of Social Science Networks and Harvard studies concluded that about 95% of the Chinese population are satisfy and has great trust with the current political system. Why wouldn't they? In the past few decades, the Chinese government lifted 800 million of their citizens out of abject poverty, from one of the poorest country to now the 2nd largest by GDP, literacy rate increased from 65%(1980s) to 97%(2024), life expectancy from 64(1980s) to now 78(2024), even surpassing the USA, 10,000% increase in annual salary income from 1980s. To answer your question, are they pretentious? maybe... but i suppose what they have achieved in the last few decades is loud enough to drive a whole bunch of jealous and malicious "entities" to allocate millions of dollars to demonize them.

I just checked it. The one that says 网络剧片 and below says web drama release permit. The company i believe…
Thanks.
Yep, did a little research and that's basically what it is - A permit for web dramas. A bit confusing with the whole animated logo giving viewers like me who can't read Chinese thinking it's the production company. I suspected something wasn't right because many dramas tagged with that logo didn't seem like they were produced from the same production company. Everything makes sense now.

Does anyone know the name of the production company that produced this drama? It's logo appears in the beginning of every episodes that resembles an ancient Chinese seal with four Chinese characters.

I have dropped all of Gulnezer's past dramas, it was that bad. Only 2 episodes in and I am not feeling this one either. Even though her acting is so-so, she is one of the most prettiest Chinese actress, it's such a shame. She and her team needs to filter out crappy scripts and not just take any dramas thrown at her.

Agree. This is the ML's first drama, which is wonderful for him, but what the heck would this do for Lusi?
It's extremely common for a well established actor to take a main role and carry his/her counter part. There's various reasons for this and the most common one is that these actors are from the same agency and they wanted to promote the upcoming actors. I am not sure if this is the case.

I am not Chinese, and I am from the states. I wouldn't go as far as to say that watching dramas from another country(s) is affecting bits and pieces of your freedom("being controlled and limited") from where ever you are currently residing. But if that's how you feel then that's how you feel. Cheers.

I am expressing my opinion as well, Isn't that wonderful? I am exercising and embracing freedom as you have mentioned.

After reading some of the earlier comments I have to say that I am shocked that you guys have to work 9am-9pm…
This 'me me me' mentality is sickening. You don't mind watching dramas with 100 episodes, therefore, dramas you like should have 100 episodes? Do you even know why a 40 episodes cap was implemented? The 40 episodes cap was implemented because of massive complains from viewers in China about A-list actor's salaries were becoming astronomical that it is soaking up 90% of the budget from a drama. This is ultimately affecting and limiting the production quality of a drama because the rest of the 10% now covers everything from paying off thousands of crew members, staffs, extras, support actors, set, props, post production and etc - So to compensate, production companies had to add episodes upon episodes of fillers to increase the overall episode count so that they can sell or license the dramas to streaming platforms for more money. It was getting out of hand, these production companies were releasing dramas in the 70, 80 and even close to 100 eps. So the hammer came down and the rest is history.
