Apparently this is not a prequel, so the order is not important.
Support character from chapter 1 is main character in chapter 2 so it is a prequel / prologue, but the stories don't intertwine in a way that they matter to each other.
the mother and son started arguing with him over the necessity of more tests, given the seriousness of it possibly…
They were talking about him getting a scholarship for school so that puts him in college (unless high schools there do sports scholarships) so not exactly a kid. Athletes also have a tendency to shrug off injuries as just port of playing sports and tend to ignore the possible seriousness. Which again both the mother and patient were trying to shrug off needing more testing done, so be blunt and make them face the possibility and get serious about getting more testing done.
I do agree though, that scene was really rushed and should have been written better to have more of a natural escalation before he just blurted that out.
That's the problem with a lot of the Thai writers, they drag out scenes / "magic moments" that shouldn't be and rush others to an unrealistic execution.
No one is going to comment on the fact that Ji just spilled in front of the mother and the child that there is…
the mother and son started arguing with him over the necessity of more tests, given the seriousness of it possibly being cancer, can't blame him for cutting through all the BS and just saying it.
Nothing would blunt being told someone so young possibly has cancer, fuck the feels, rip the bandage off, and get to work possibly saving his life.
Hell I wish more doctors were like that in real life. I've been to too many that try so hard to blunt the news over different things that they forget to tell some of the most important info. Then again doctors in the USA suck and only give a shit about churning out as many people as quickly as possible.
Definitely starting to agree with others that Fluke's face is the only thing making me finish watching this series.
The writing is definitely as bad as Venus In The Sky was, but at least that had shirtless Tod every episode and horny bro and his bickering babe for comedic relief. The one upside this has to Venus In the Sky is at least Ji isn't a complete asshole like Venus was.
I don't think it's going to be a long term cp, since Pond is already paired with other actors in future projects…
Even in the photoshoots they've been doing together they give off a very brother (Pond) and annoying little brother (Earth) vibe and nothing even remotely romantic and/or chemistry at all. Granted odd couples can work, especially if the actors are talented enough, but yeah this combination is like putting ice cream in a cup of noodles odd combination. Like you said though, willing to give them a chance, but if Earth whips out another "CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE......CCCCCAAAAAAAKKKKKKEEEEE!!!!!!!" like line, I'm out!! lol
Thank you camera operator for taking full advantage of every second Job was shirtless / showing skin because whoever wrote / choreographed that NC scene is either VERY straight or a virgin. lol
I do have to give Star Hunter Entertainment massive credit for something they did in episode 7, there was finally a frank open discussion about sexual preferences.
Thank you Mizuki for coming in one last time to blow things up and add some interest and comedy.
How did Soga moves to Osaka, works out of the Osaka office and takes the 2hr 30 minutes train ride to Tokyo when he has to be there for in person meetings never even get discussed as an option!?
The only part of the cookware product project that would even require him being there in person would be meeting with clients.
Hey who cares if Heng 9 is helping treat / cure your emotional disorder because you feel it love with him, it's just an android so let's just rip it away from you because you know that's totally not going to make his emotional disorder even worse....
Yup, Uncle is a sexbot crazed freaking idiot. lol
Hopefully the last two episodes will actually dive into the whole, yup humans can fall in love with AI and yes AI can develop genuine emotions and not just the want to nuke the world kind. Granted we're 8 episodes in and the whole sci-fi part of the lot has been nothing more than a surface gimmick, but hopefully they'll scratch the surface a bit more because it is fascinating to think about.
Actually I'm going to disagree with you as an interfan. If a series really grabs you then you'll research the cultural reference, wordplay, etc. and it's not necessary to have a fansubber add those in. Actually there's many fansubbers than annoyingly add in their own color commentary,, etc. along with their "notes". Personally I've learned way more searching something up than I ever have from the notes from fansubbers.
Personally I think this is just a rather meh series and that has nothing to do with being lost in translation. Soga went from establish right from the beginning straight divorced / recently divorced to boom head over heels can't spend more than a couple of hours away in love with Sakae. Even a single line of dialogue in the opening divorce scene that would have given a hint that part of the reason for the divorce was because she knew/ had a feeling he married her out of duty, etc. and not out of attraction/love would have made it more realistic. Instead we got a poof, now he's gay/bi and that's frustratingly lazy writing. Then the whole breaking up over a cookware project...like seriously!?
Haven't watched the final ep yet because waiting for subs, but yeah none of the things that just make it a meh series are with the translation.
i didnt watch yet, but im genuinely wondering whats bad about it?
Take every negative gay stereotype wrap it into a mockery err "comedy" so the straights won't loose their shit over it 90's BS then release that in 2015 and then take the same exact BS and remake it in 2024.
When they first announced the cast I was scratching my head at the Pond X Earth pairing...
After seeing their photos, etc. together.... definitely giving off brother (Pond) and annoying little brother (Earth) vibes and not anything even remotely romantic chemistry.
Honestly can't see how they're going to pull that one off.
That trailer was really good....I'll probably check out the first one or two episodes (and the plot sounds so…
I wasn't going to bother at first since Max and Nat kept getting really shit material for their previous projects, but yeah that trailer changed my mind and like you I'll check out a few episodes.
I actually like parallel world plots when done right, so that's a bit of a draw to it as well.
The new trailer makes this one look like it might actually be good. Maybe they finally got a decent script and production team for Max and Nat to work with
I was going to suggest people view it more like “found family” since neither blood nor legal relationship…
As I've said many times before, smartphones get smarter, people get dumber...and lazier. lol
It used to be if you came across a word or thing you didn't know, you'd look it in either a dictionary or encyclopedia. Sure paper forms of those might be rare these days, but hey everyone has them in their little phones they stare at all day. You'd think with literally instant access people would look things up more....yeah nope, they just see something and parrot the hell out of it, no matter if they fully understand it or not.
I guess we have to dumb it down to cave-man language...
please someone should kindly answer this question cause it's been bothering me tbh. how can a robot actually eat?…
waterproof sack for a stomach and a wet/dry vacuum at home...or just an internal pump that pumps it back up.
The same way his "Other" features would be handled.
there's also this mindset that androids have to be as human as possible otherwise people can't accept them / couldn't form deep emotional bonds with them...which is complete BS because there's already been a lot of studies that find that people are even falling in love with AI chatbots that they're talking to on a regular device.
Now for a reason that actually makes sense. The android line that he's part of was designed as capable of being caregivers so it would have to be able to cook for those that can't cook themselves. Cooking is an art, baking is a science. Sure you can't memorize all the times, temps, steps you want, but you still have to taste the food because it can vary so greatly. In this case it would make sense that the android line would have taste sensors and well need someplace for the food to go because it would be rude / unhygienic to spit it back out right in front of the food / people you're cooking for. So in this case it makes sense there would be some catch and purge system...
But an android just wanting to eat just for the sake of eating....yeah makes no sense.
They are NOT brothers, they are NOT related, hell they aren't even related by law. They are no more brothers than if you took in a stray cat from the street.
Hell the only reason why incest is even a consideration with humans is because a long time ago they figured out if two people that are closely related have a child together it increases the chances of defects, even if they didn't know the exact science behind it then. When it comes to same-sex relationships incest is nothing more than a societal taboo since there's no pregnancy involved.
But again, not in any way, shape or form related, they're just two guys that live together and have formed their own family of misfits.

And no Qian he didn't lose patience with fishing, he just realized his balls were bluer than the water and needed to hide the pain. lol

Even with only being 6 episodes I'm still not sure this one is worth lasting through more than 2 episodes.
