Too bad Safe House crashed and burned. So many iconic moments came out of that show.
For context, it was the international fans that caused the whole black face issue and made it way bigger than it needed to be. It was simply GMMTV not being aware that black face paint, etc. had any type of negative connotations in other cultures.
Wela and Khem take over running Deep Night while Freya steps back from the club and starts a performance school.
Maybe introduce a new character that starts off at Freya's school but disappears halfway through the courses only to end up secretly working at Deep Night. Since the on-going theme of season 1 was everyone being accepted and having a safe space, maybe have this new character having been kicked out of their house for being gay (found out from a string of events finding out they were secretly studying at the school) and having them being underage / used a fake id to get the job at the club. The drama for the season would unfold when all of this was discovered and the chosen family at Deep Night and Freya band together to risk it all for this new character. There's plenty of little side events / stories that could branch from there to fill out a full second season.
"Like In The Movies" was amazing until the whole S.A. scandal destroyed that production company, The Idea Company pretty much imploded themselves with greed over GameBoys The Movie and GameBoys S2 destroying the global fanbase they created with season 1, and for all the "coming soon" talk, there hasn't been any updates on "The Day I Loved You" Season 2, so yeah unfortunately you're right, Xion is pretty much the only one still doing Pinoy BL.
I think the biggest problem besides quality issues with the productions minus those three exceptions is that the Pinoy BL industry figured they'd launch and people would eat it up no matter what they did like has been the case with the BL industry in other Asian countries. I think that mentality really bit them in the ass because the quality just wasn't there, they alienated the global fanbase potential too much and the global brands have been sticking with the other Asian country BL productions.
Parky is a complete newbie and Beck pretty much might as well be and yet they have the chemistry and play off each other of more seasoned actors and long term cp partners. Series these two need to hold a workshop class and teach some of the other BL couples (especially some of the GMMTV ones) how to build chemistry together.
It's a good thing that mirror is just some kind of magical and not alive because if it was it would definitely feel like the ultimate third wheel. lol
Pale skin but not ghost white pale, deep dark red eyes to draw you in, and a look like he's either going to eat…
Actually the first thing I thought of when I saw the poster was it had an old 80's (maybe early 90's) USA vampire movie vibe to it so I kind of like the "retro" look to it.
I like it because Deep Night isn't the typical Host Club aka brothel that most of the other series on that theme tend to have. The cast play well off each other, not to mention nice to look at, and the only annoying character is the Aunt who's only one for a split second before storming off.
This time I promise Deep Night isn't a series I'm trying to get you to watch to get the "I survived..." t-shirt with me. lol :P
From what others have said, that would be "Kiseki Chapter 2" unless you're watching the apparently soft-core porn scenes and skipping the rest. I dunno, I lasted not even 10 minutes through the first episodes, but apparently there's some twin action so might have to look up that episode. lol
Normally I don't care if a series has a happy ending or not, but this is the one series I really wanted it to and luckily it did not disappoint. That whole scene with Qian going after San Pang added a bit of comedic relief to all the serious, which was unexpected and not even sure if it was intended that way, but I loved it.

Okay the whole discussion over the editing for the NC scene....
If we did a survey of the viewers on here, I wonder how many that had a problem with it are female and how many are male. One thing I've noticed over the years on here is when it comes to NC scenes and them trying to inject a lot of different emotional elements into it it tends to be us guys / gay guys that really like those NC scenes and the females that are all up in arms over it not being hardcore enough for them....which funny enough tends to be the exact opposite when it's a straight NC scene.
I loved the NC scenes in Venus in the Sky. It was a bit daft in places and the acting wasn't the greatest, but…
If Venus in the Sky didn't have those NC scenes after giving us shirtless Tod in every episode they would have gotten sued for damages from giving us all blue balls (and whatever the female equivalent to that is). lol
Not even half way through the final episode and all I have to say is instead of taking a trip to Chiang Mai they need to take a trip to Japan to learn from Master Minato Akira on how to get rid of stubborn stains....
I almost cried when I read that. It's a really mediocre show. Naturally, there are even worse series, but it's…
Hopefully with 13 episodes left people continue to remember the issue is the production team, not the actors and it won't have any lasting negative effects on their careers. That is if many people even manage to survive through all 16 episodes.
Three episodes in and they're already starting to feel draggy and this series has 16 episodes.... that's not a good start. It has nothing to do with the actors, they're all great, this is squarely on the writers and director.
They've made almost the same mistake with this series that was made with the series "Absolute Zero". The novelist is one of the three writers for the series, one of the others this is their first work, and the third writer, well to be honest nothing they were involved in was all that great.
We also have a director who's previous works have been middle of the pack meh at best with much smaller casts and an actor formerly under Studio Wabi Sabi turned assistant director, who yet again their previous works were middle of the pack meh at best.
This is not the production team you put behind a quality series, and certainly not one with this large of a cast with so many couples and multiple story lines going at the same time.
For their parts the actors are doing the best they can with what they were given to work with, but it definitely feels like a downgrade from their previous series and again, we're only on episode three. Maybe this all explains why GMMTV hasn't put anything behind promoting the series.
----------------
GMMTV is growing and producing themselves into a corner, which has been an issue the past couple of years and is only continuing to get worse. They simply have too many actors, directors, etc. under them and instead of focusing on quality the focus has become solely on profit and keeping everyone under them working.
The last scene of episode two gives a bit of hope the second couple might be interesting, but who knows how much screentime they'll get.

And as terrible as Kiseki Chapter 2 is, it's a freaking Oscar award winner compared to that "Lady boy Friends" series. lol
Remember the good old days when we thought "Check Out", "Unforgotten Night" and "My Boy" were the worst things we'd ever see... lol
And just for the record, no Kang that wasn't a thermometer in Moo's pocket during that sponge bath but he sure was glad to see ya. lol
It's a good thing that mirror is just some kind of magical and not alive because if it was it would definitely feel like the ultimate third wheel. lol

Seriously thou, I think you'd like it.
