When you've already lost before the game begins...Akira never stood a chance... lol
First episode in and the cat and mouse, banter, and chemistry is already so strong with them. This is going to be a wild ride and I already have a feeling it's going to be one I won't want to end.
Agree if it's not perth acting i doubt i would enjoy it. He plays jon role so well . Being asshole to feel pity…
He can be a raging ahole in a scene and yet simultaneously look like someone just kicked him in the nuts after kicking his puppy. Very few actors are capable of showing multiple emotions like that at the same time.
Honestly if it wasn't for Perth playing Jon I don't think I'd enjoy this series nearly as much as I do. He can play the most ahole character on the outside but then portray all the sweetness, pain, etc. just as easily and with a simple look into his eyes.
I'm really glad they've finally given Coach Bob/Bard more of an individual storyline instead of just being the token queer. Yu being able to confide in Coach Bob/Bard because they are the only ones he knows that would understand them goes so far to show LGBTQ that they aren't alone and can go to others for support.
Personally I like it when they weave LGBTQ storyline into straight shows and vice versa because it helps normalize it, and shows when it comes to love we all go through the same things.
looking at this comment section ima just wait till the show ends to start
Honestly with the way the first 3 episodes have been so far, watch the hell out of the special episode (episode 0) and just think of it as a short movie and then forget the series even exists...you'll thank yourself.
At this point there's three possible scenarios for this series:
1) it continues to suck the rest of the way through and episode 0 should be considered a short movie and the series forgotten
2) It ends up getting better.
3) Someone with enough talent manages to take the dumpster fire that is the series and reedit it into a part 2 to the episode 0 and makes Check Out: The Movie (viewer cut).
This series only has three things working for it right now, the special episode (should have been 1st ep) was really good, Boat, and Chahub. Other than that I've seen softcore pornos in the 90's that had a better executed storyline.
We've seen how conflicted Nine was in the special episode, but after seeing two episodes of how determined he is to win back Daonuea, there's no way he would have just given into Praew and accepted her back like that just because she whined.
What's Nine going to do when he realizes that Daonuea is just as whiny as Praew, turn around and go after Boat?? Okay not going to lie, that would be steamy af and definitely spice this up.
Speaking of Boat, atleast we have him to make the in between sex scenes worth watching.
Daonuea must be one the most unlikable male leads in Thai BL so far, seriously can't understand his reasoning…
I think the special episode (which definitely should have been and promoted as episode 1) set up for an amazing how do you move on and find happiness after being heartbroken storyline, but then they destroyed all the potential it had with both of them getting back with their exes, etc. There's so many other arcs they could have gone with even if they kept the whole thing with Nine not contacting him for a few months.
There is another actor Por Chaow who plays Bear in the series why isn't he on the cast list? https://www.instagram.com/porchaow/
No one had created an actor profile for him on here yet which is why he wasn't in the cast list. I submitted an actor profile for him so if it gets approved (there's not much info about him online) then he should show up.
Perth (Jon) is definitely carrying the series though, he can flip from sweet, funny, smartass, asshole, savior, to protector so effortlessly. At first you really want to hate the character, but then as the series goes on the layers of the character peel back one by one and in the end you can't help but love him for his intentions, as misguided as they may be.
I'm still hoping at some point he has a proper conversation with Marin and clears things with her. Not that it excuses his behavior with her, but I think she'd understand his fear of being alone since his parents died.
If you haven't watched this yet, make sure you watch the special episode (episode 0) first. It was released nine months ago on their youtube channel (they've had to remove it because of youtube community standards), but you can still find it on dramacool. It really should have been the first official episode and not a special one as it makes the official ep make so much more sense and feels so different.
That said...now I really want to smack Daonuea upside the head for his stupidity in ep. 1!! lol

Tee yet again shows why he's the breakout star of the series....
And Tin FINALLY gets a well deserved vacation...

I thought Kamio Fuju was definitely the star talent of the series.
