At first I thought maybe Benji was just trying to give Kaneda a push to realizing/confessing his feelings for Yanase, but now he can f$%k right the hell off and what a vile thing to do to use the companies success to force Yanesa like that.
At first I thought Asuka was going to end up being the ahole type character that tried to ruin everything, But he's turned out to be the one who runs for the front seat with the biggest bucket of popcorn and cheers loudly for them. Oku Tomoya may only be playing a support character, but damn if he hasn't become one of my favorite support characters in all the series I've watched.
That last scene...damn can Nishigaki Sho ever get you through his facial expressions and eyes... Shin knows what it's like to like a senior and the devastation in his eyes when he realized it's THAT sakuma-sensei
It's like they're afraid to write gay male characters that are more masculine anymore, they're all these softer…
The only actor that type of scene should ever be used for is Gameplay, if you watch his food hacker youtube series he really does shovel huge amounts of food in his mouth at a time and gets it everywhere. lol
It's like they're afraid to write gay male characters that are more masculine anymore, they're all these softer…
which again goes right back to the afraid to write masc gay male characters. almost every series does the whole masc/fem, dom/sub pairing and then like you mentioned there's always the "soft" one. it's like yes heat exhaustion hits everyone different, etc. but damn why you always have to make one always look like they're weaker and need to be taken care of?! There is such a thing as two masc guys being together and being strong enough to take care of each other equally.
I dunno, maybe it's just me and being older that I notice it more.
It's like they're afraid to write gay male characters that are more masculine anymore, they're all these softer…
Yeah at least the whole faint/fever thing makes real world sense because of heat/humidity/heat exhaustion and with that the whole wiping someone with a wet cold cloth, so that one never bothers me when it's in a series.
Mark is more between masc and middle of the pack fem, but the way War portrays the character it works so well and comes off so natural. Yin (especially in the longer version) does such a good job portraying Vee and masc but also not afraid to be emotional, etc. so I definitely agree with you that those two are good current examples.
I think a lot of it comes down to if it's a male or female writer when it comes to not only the source material but also who is adapting it for the series.
Very good explanation. I was diagnosed with chronic heart failure when I was 17. It is really weird seeing it…
I have heart and blood pressure issues as well so for me to see a character using a food as a remedy wasn't that surprising, but even I had to look up why exactly the red apples.
I like that writers are starting to branch out from the overused plotlines, but damn it give it the proper context so the audience understands what's going on. lol
Incidentally, f#$% you, Coffee Melody, for the f#$%ing cake lip-wiping scene. As if you weren't unoriginal and…
It's like they're afraid to write gay male characters that are more masculine anymore, they're all these softer more middle of the spectrum little porcelain dolls types. I mean no disrespect to anyone that's actually like that in real life, but damn it guys can be gay, romantic/emotional, AND masculine at the same time.
Max X Tul REALLY needs to do another series together to balance the scales. lol
First episode and battle lines have been drawn and the world war of love has already started!! lol
If you could harness all the energy everyone is using to flirt with each other it could power the planet. lol
-----
Honestly this had me hooked right from the first scene, I'm a sucker for properly set scenes, good writing, etc. and that first scene of Duean Yi was definitely perfectly set (and no not just because he was mostly naked lol).
Okay since everyone seems to still be confused on the whole apple thing...
In episode 1 they revealed that he suffers from Vasoconstriction:
Vasoconstriction is the narrowing (constriction) of blood vessels by small muscles in their walls. When blood vessels constrict, blood flow is slowed or blocked. Vasoconstriction may be slight or severe. It may result from disease, drugs, or psychological conditions.
-----
There are some Vasodilators medications that are used for moderate / severe cases when the typical blood pressure medicines don't provide much help. These however come with a lot of side effects.
The skin of red apples have chemical compounds that act as a Vasodilator without the side effects, works quickly and can work in conjunction with other blood pressure medications.
------
To put it in context that might be easier for people to understand:
It's like someone that has asthma and is on a once daily/weekly medication but still needs to use a rescue inhaler for sudden acute asthma attacks. Sun is most likely on medication for his Vasoconstriction, but still needs the Red Apple skin for the sudden acute attacks. That's why you see him taking bites from around the apple instead of eating the whole thing, the skin is the most important part for him.
My advice, if you are going to watch the series, do not watch Episode 0 prior. Those viewers seem the most pissed…
No worries, it happens.
After watching ep 0 I'm still hoping at least some parts of the final eps will be a redemption enough to give ep 0 more of a complete ending...otherwise I never would have stuck this out.
Hell Boat went from the comedic relief to the sanest character on the whole freaking series. lol
When your audience roots more for the straight couple that isn't even yet (Boat X Candy) instead of the mains in a BL because they're the sanest and least annoying, you know you've completely fucked the writing of your series
Yeah we definitely need more Baiboon.....Ton (Kim) has got to be exhausted carrying this whole series himself.

Daonuea isn't nearly this whiny / annoying child like in ep 0 and Nine is stubborn, but not down right controlling and manipulative.
