this is where WTC and CG's characters differ... while she shuts herself off.. he is putting some effort to right the wrong... she should keep her eyes , ears and heart open to see it

They have an interesting story arc, really sad actually. I understand where both are coming from and their perspective. The doctor probably lost love of his life , in his own hands- the hands that cured many , couldnt save life of his loved one. But what i didnt understand is his reasons to marry her.. he married for himself (as a substitute),??for his parents and grand mother?? what are his actual reasons to marry her?
While i empathise with his backstory, i feel very sad for her side of story. she must be a few years older than ML. ..so ,She must have experienced more the loss of parents , life, lifestyle, , the shame humiliation of being blacklisted (from being kids of high achievers with great lifestyle to outcasted socially and from their place to faraway lands.. and being elder sibling , being unable to do anything for her younger sibling...being kept away from meaty areas of her profession, the only thing that she still manage to keep and could still cling on to - and to still manage to achieve something there only by denouncing her parents... even that wasnt enough to open doors.. i dont blame her desperation, the way the potential suitors abandon her when they realise the huge burden being associated with her mean. . she puts her research. above every one -- including her brother.. the only thing probably she believes incapable of backstabbing her.. and Everything she does gets defined by all these incidents.... her reasons for marriage are pretty straightforward and she is honest about it with her future husband,.. and it seems like she is still hoping for honest love there, but afraid to even expect it..just shuts herself off from all hope and expectation
Tian Xie Wei has a bubbly aura.. hope this one will give her a chance to break that mold. she should do 1 serious drama .. her acting is too saccharine to digest otherwise
Shen Jie- Shen Jie and Yan Lin both lost their precious care free lives and thrown into hell fire...though both engage in carefree and silly antics, both are smart where it matters.. such incredible friendship, wonder how it got so ruined in the 1st life of FL .... good that FL is letting her sister mary shen jie this time.
at ep 13 now.. Yan Lin - I really feel sorry for Yan Lin... he really loves her, so genuinely, and wanted to care and protect her and be there for her forever. life has dealt him some pretty bad cards...He distances himself from her on his own , figuring out in how much danger his family is , and fall of his family may impact her family and life as well... it is tearing him apart, but he accept it that he may not be able to wed her , but still continues to care and protect her from behind scenes .. Xiewei.. why do i feel he is interested in her from day 1 .. more like considers her his ... (he tells her not to reveal her heart to others lest they use that information to mess with her) ..in his case it seems she seems to occupy his heart that he hides from entire world. he keeps checking with yanlin and her status of their feelings.. yanlin being his cousin he has to consider ofcourse.. however it seems FL is totally unaware of his feelings for her. .. he gets jealous and pulls her away when he sees potential suitors Zhang Zhe,... pretty interesting character. Ideal hero ... at ep13 , i only liked his character because it was played by WXY. if it was anyone else ,i wouldn't have even noticed that character. Even though his screen time is almost negligible at ep13 ..WXY makes it worth it, makes us sit and notice... But his character at this point doesnt convince me that he should be end game for FL.
the story's setting is really sad - ML is villian Xue's 1st son , Yan clans nephew . Royal (Shen) family empress dowager is ML's aunt - his fathers sister. every side of this game is his relative only. including the rebel guy.... the fight for power and fight for vengence/justice is all within the family only. the only outsiders are FL and Zhang Zhe .. wish they should have been left out of this fight .. and they be end game ..
Not for FL, but for consort Shu this time. But people were really dumb back then, believing in all sorts of omens.…
oh wow.. i didnt think that way. but villian wont lay trap for consort shu as she is his sister. only FL and ML could lay trap with an eye on villian .. but people are dying , main leads wont kill innocents to lay a trap... so whats going on then?

People are not fighting as fans ... they are fighting over the characters played by Bai lu and WXY ...They are sympathetic over FL's character , not actor playing FL..... angry over ML's charater not on actor playing ML?
I can understand Li Peyi's Situation & fully agree that she should kill that minister but If she kill him…
she wasnt smart about how she went about the act. right chancellor eliminated a prince , emperors brother and his whole family using trickery.. what FL was trying was use brute force , instead of brain ... use similar methods to get to him..
now that she has a fiance, she could have planned it better, to also ensure she survived and thrived ..thats real revenge ..not dying with the villian

. for what happened at her wedding banquet she should have been heavily punished . For whatever circumstances, emperor took a decision to give meagre punishment to Right Chancellor . So how can he punish her harshly ..? but he cant let her go either, since she poisoned his whole court , though not life threatening ... So some form of punishment is due... so she herself offered to let go her job and princess title making it easy for emperor to alleviate his court officials anger ... and she herself wanted in addition to let go of her marriage decree t0o , as her actions have consequences , though not fully carried , or though no harm befell the court officials . ... her marrying into Xiao family may befall social consequence if not life threatening consequences. on Xiao family..so she was trying to protect Xiao family
ML has no right to interfere just because he fell in love with FL and wants to marry her. she spent her whole life searching for the villian , and when she found him and wanted to eliminate , ML in his naiveness ,wanted to take him to emperor, and not take law into her hands. what he suggested was perhaps right in normal circumstances . but those are not normal time or involve normal people..... ..., a prince ( emperors real brother) can be massacre with his family , colored as traitor with absolute impunity ... and her letting such a villain go , may actually land her life in huge risk in future, ... here ML is not factoring emperor's role if any, role of politics , factions , leverages , empress 's role ... so many factors come into picture and not only justice may be denied , her life may be in danger .
ML feels huge let down by FL . but no one asked him to love her deeply and feel let down if she cant reciprocate at same level. 15 years living in a certain emotion , he wanted her to abandon it and appreciate the beauty of flowers , and moon 's calmness... can she?,before or now, knowing someone out there reduced her whole family into dust. ..
what ML was attempting is protect his own love , and yes, wedding (a normal boring wedded life that every one lives and aspires for ) that she possibly not ready to give now or ever.,..
