It was a good drama but to be 2nd highest rated drama on MDL or highest rated if it gets 9.2, I don't think it's…
For you, maybe. Fot me Moving was skippable and I only watched the mom-dad scenes and Move to Heaven wasn't bad, but dragged a lot, so for me, definitely not deserving the first spots.
lowkey wish more people were into saeguks bc you get such hidden gems i loved this drama from start to finish…
I think many people are into sageuks, but probably like myself, they seek the ''true'' sageuks meaning those, that do not have modern elements in it, like this drama. And it is true that year after year we are getting more and more fusion sageuks than normal ones and that is the true loss.
I knew what was I getting myself into - a fusion sageuk, which is bound to have modern things in it, so I tried to close of my rational thinking and see it as it is - a fusion sageuk.
With that being said, the story wasn't bad, but wasn't amazing either. I liked the premise of it, but somehow the story was dragging. I didn't like the law advisor subplot, and would have loved to see the story digging deeper into characters and their lives. The plot was already very heavy with the main plot-line which was a nobi becoming a yangban. The second main plot-line with the husband....I feel that it was fakely created to put the ML into the story. Some people here praise the drama for the romance, but for me it was lackluster. I didn't feel excitement and didn't say to myself ''FINALLY'' when they got together. I think I liked the drama up to like EP4-5 maybe before the death of ์ฌ๋์ .
Saeguk dramas make me wish I was born noble during the Joseon period, so my misfortunes were less. But it makes…
Well, you would have maybe riches, but with the social class come a lot of rules. Since Joseon was heavily Confucian based (which this drama doesn't do any justice and is very modern compared to reality) with your current 21st century mindset, you would have suffered a lot.
And in terms of misfortunes, I may be bold to claim that while lower class battled with hunger issues, the rich often didn't live long due to constant political power battles. If you were a minister's family, than that is a certain death sentence, since factionalism during Joseon was brutal and the survival of whole families depended on which side is currently in favor at the court. When I look at the death rate, it makes me wonder, if lower class actually lived longer due to their class.
in hospitial playlist it's represented a lot better i believe!
I saw it long time ago, so I cant exactly point out scenes anymore, but other then not realistic things, it has more medical mishaps than this drama. It was similiar to Dr. Romantic in that sense. It looks amazing, but in reality major mistakes were made that in reality would cost the patients their lives. Like here, the chest compressions during v-fib like this is such a common mistake that it doesnt suprise me to see it.
I have to say.... I am incredibly pleased with this series. The medical scenes were amazingly done, and so far, this series is the best medical series from S. Korea. I expected a lot of mistakes, since it usually happens, but I found only few. First and foremost, V-FIB = defibrillator. Second, they should have been more careful with contamination, like...running out of the OR with the OR gowns, shoes, GLOVES is a big no-no. Like, this was the biggest problem I had with it. No matter how big is the rush, you simply don't do this IRL. What I don't get is how weak looking is ER-TRAUMA department like....in country of my practice, ER-TRAUMA is the most important department and the staff from that department are like....gods, because it is incredibly difficult department. Just like we could see, the doctors have to know a LOT. It's like multiple specializations combined in one. So why is it so ''frowned'' upon here is confusing to me.
Then who knows maybe romance will be added in S2 for ML and FL Head Nurse along with existing bromance. Maybe…
Medical dramas usually don't flop with second seasons - usually, those that are heavily focused on cases, which is the case with this drama. Just look at Dr. Romantic - it has 3 seasons :)
I don't know how will this story progress, but I like how this drama is talking about topic that isn't talked about enough. We always encounter comments that say, ''Oh, but sex isn't that important in a relationship,'' well, it is! Two people have to be compatible even in bed activities, because as we can see, it does leave a quite significant tear on the relationship. Not having a lot of sex is fine, but it has to be fine by both sides, same thing with a lot of sex - both sides must like it that way. Being in an unbalanced relationship can be tricky, and some might still argue, that, ''Well, relationships shouldn't be built on sex,'' and I am not saying that, but I do think that this is in our nature. Some people like to have it frequently, while others don't. No hard Math.
As a huge #free Palestine activist I refuse to watch until they delete this particular scene.. That's just unrespectful.
Respectfully, you should have done some digging before writing this comment. Your assumption has been debunked by SO many people, but still people like you come here and spread false information.
Said scene was pro-Palestine so exactly why should they delete it?

This is case focused - so a looooooot of surgeries.

It can look well, but if it's not realistic, than it has 0 value to me.
Will be writing down the mistakes for sure.
