Give it a go. They didn't understand the subs well.
Honestly, I HATE NF translations, like....When I watch with my mom, I always pause and fix the subs for her, 'cause u wouldn't believe how mistranslated overall are NF series/movies. I am kinda sad that there isn't open position for subbers, because I would immediatly hop in and do my job properly.
Yeah, so in last ep there is a scene - news coverage - where they say that Paltima (country) attacked Ismael (country) who took hostages, and people think that South Korea supports Izrael (Ismael) when it is clear that Ismael took the hostages and Paltima (Palestive) was defending itself with an airstrike. I watched it in Korean, so I didn't have trouble understanding this, but I guess those who don't speak Korean misunderstood it....
So it turns out that Netflix mistranslated subtitles in that controversial news broadcast scene and MBC + the…
Based on the response here, it doesn't matter if more people like myself come out with this, since they are so stuck on this narrative that MBC branded P as the oppressor. Even if the writers or director themselves told them, they wouldn't believe it.
Yeah, I guess I won't comment anymore, because people in this age won't sit down and listen properly. I better go back to my work and studying, 'cause believe it or not, learning actual military problematics and warfare in Goryeo is far more complex to understand than this one scene :D

Is it questionable, truly? Let's put this narrative, ''The ongoing Ukraine airtrikes are taking place in Russia, where the Korean nationels have been kidnapped''. Would anyone point fingers at Ukraine? I doubt so, because we know the conflict behind the scene, so it is still clear that Ukraine was defending itself against Russia who took the hostages. It is absolutely same situtation, so why people think SK is branding Palestive as oppressors, when it is clear as day that they are pointing fingers at Ismael who literally kidnapped the people?
for those who still confused whether it is a mistranslation or not please check this, https://x.com/ma42401494/status/1875589432239386740?s=46&t=zDt3qHmF4d7jbKfIdmOqfg
I doubt that person is fluent Korean tbh.... Like, how could u say that when the broadcast text/script is clear as a day....
I am done here, honestly. I said what the scene was about and if you want me to write it in hangeul to be ''believable'' so be it LOL.
I think the reason why they are introducing "outsider" partners for both ML and 2FL is to go for the narrative…
Yeah, it's a cultural thing and I am happy that they are bringing this topic back after Love Next Door and One Spring Night ^^ Hopefully, things will change in real life as well...
they should use their brain like can't they see the ml for once didn't say I love u to the second fl
So what that he isn't in love? It doesn't take away the point that he IS in a relationship and that the other party thinks so as well. It clearly showed them dating, so if he doesn't break this thing off, than it will turn into cheating and same thing with Eve. Both of them have partners. Honestly, I am all for mature roles, but this is a shitty thing to do - break-up from space LOL.
But u brought up good points :)

I won't understand this ever, I guess.
