I absolutely love this series. There needs to be more BL like this one- filled with heart, milk tea boba and chicken.…
This series is real life. I wish more like this, they are absolutely needed. Not only from an artistic/entertainment point of view. But to make us, people having no point of intersection with LGBTQ, to understand and take it as natural and as it is. It wouldn't be fair to wait for those "old dinosaurs to die", we all have only 1 life to live. Those barriers still standing have to be broken and the last dinosaurs to change their mentality.
I hope in the future we will have the opportunity to watch more series and movies like this. I am sure for their parts and the way how they played, the actors in this series will have a lot of accolades. All of them did a great job. The series deserves credit for screenwriting, producing, directing, acting, cinematography, etc.
A really good production, to each of these young actors was given the opportunity to show their measure. It's shocking to see such young actors to possess so great skills.
This is a great mature series, with some exceptionally talented artists who excel in both: visuals and acting.…
Agree 100%. I would love other 8 eps if possible :) But wait, there are people that have a pleasure in criticising. I would like a "mute" option. Even if I am all about freedom of speech, sometimes I would like to be able not to see those comments.
I love Wen very very much. His style, his thoughts, his mature word, all are the best. But I feel a little sad…
I think Jim is wise keeping some distance between him and Wen at this point. Wen needs that distance to settle his feelings and thoughts, Jim needed a closure for his story with Beam. Wen's breaking up with Alan is too fresh, would be too soon for a new partner and a new relationship. Alan's shadow would be standing between them. Jim rejects him very gentle but keeps him close enough, letting him shake off the feelings he still has for Alan. I think Jim is in love with Wen, but he doesn't want to rush things, would be a mistake. Even Wen admits there are still some small glimpses back from that fire that was between him and Alan. When he gives Alan his keys from their apartment is the final cut between them. He moves out permanently., the chapter is closed.
Hot take from twitter: "I've a feeling that a part of JimWen haters are straight women for whom bl is just a genre…
Hej there :) I am a woman and a mom and straight and I love this show, especially JimWen :) That's the only relationship in the show that has chances to last. This is one of the best BL I've watched and I watched A LOT.
same because it sounds they were both in the same boat financially so it wasn't like jim could afford to take…
Don't know why I thought Jim raised Li Ming from infancy. And I'm still not sure about this, Li Ming only said he didn't see his mom in 5 years . Maybe I missed something at one point and I've been wrong.
Beam's parents are the worst. THE WORST.I can't even tell how angry I was watching that scene.
When I saw that scene, the words that came into my head were "leeches, bloodsuckers". Their son was just gone forever tragically (not after a long illness, to accept somehow his death) and all they wanted was his money. The father was not even in mourning, no pain on his face. Jim did everything even he knew Beam cheated on him, still visiting these days his urn at the temple. I think Beam's funeral was the moment when his restaurant started to go down the hill. He's a really stoic guy.
I think Earth is doing a great job. If he didn't, there weren't so many opinions here. I don't know another Thai…
Maybe he is not supposed to look good, but many people look good even if they have a tough life. Many look younger than their real age, without doing any effort for that. You want to see a broken man, ruined psysically and emotionally - but it's not Jim. I have in my family few women fully grey haired without a wrinckle on their face. Myself started to be grey around 25. Let's just shake hands and agree to disagree :)
Please, he done sat up in the hospital bed at day 2 with no problem. LOL BL directors are definitely not known…
I presume the shooting/kidnapping scenes were done after the last scenes on the beach. That script supervisor's not good to keep track with the important details.
Also I find it really funny when Palm said he would pay the hospital fees himself and I was like 'with what money'?…
Unrealistic. It's like a fairy tale for kids under 12. "Running" as a way of speaking :)) I would be curious to see how he reached the main door of the hospital, he couldn't reach the toilet alone.
Wasn't Palm shot in the back? There is no mark of it. In 3 months, no matter how much fysio Palm did, there 's no way of him walking like that, moving on sand like that, swimming in the sea like that.
I think Earth is doing a great job. If he didn't, there weren't so many opinions here. I don't know another Thai…
I think a man in his late 30s - early 40s is at his peak of both psysical and mental. He's not an abuser, a heavy drinker, a party boy, an addict of any kind, etc. His life is just work and work and rest. But we must consider that he loves his restaurant and his work, otherwise would give up on them, finding another place and another work. So that big amount of work is not a punishment for him, he does it with his heart, too. Many men look better around 40 than they look in their 20s. Jim is an old soul, that doesn't mean that he must look old, all wrinkled and grey. He is a disappointed man but not a depressed one. I think Earth plays him very well, without forcing any note. Sometimes is difficult to keep it low, using only glances, small gestures, the way he breathes, etc. He gives this image of calm on the surface but there are very intense feelings inside him. At least this is my image about him.
My take is if you are into lovey-dovey full of fluff, rainbows & unicorns then this is not it. It delves into…
I've been here for only 3 days now. I would love more than 8 eps of this. I think it's well done in terms of casting, acting, directing, writing, cinematography, production design (I love Jim's restaurant, all that warm wood work). It's written nicely and intelligent in my opinion. I love every character from it. Not many BLs are this quality. The only thing that bugged me at the beginning was the too big coincidence that Alan is the credit manager where Jim applies for a loan. What's the odds to meet this situation irl? Maybe is better to see and only after to start reading the comments. I've read some comments bellow and wondered if that person saw the same series we talk about.
It's so sad. :( He was clingy but he received mixed signals from Wen. After so many years in a relationship when…
I fortunatelly didn't experience this situation but many others. You'll have also your share, life is not only a dance on roses (all roses have thorns!). It spares no one. Nobody stops you sighing . But wait till that day when you really feel like. It helps a lot :)
I still believe Earth was miscast for the role, and when I read the comments it's even more evident. Jim is an…
I think Earth is doing a great job. If he didn't, there weren't so many opinions here. I don't know another Thai actor who could do a better job (about casting). I think he understands Jim perfectly and surprises me with his good acting of an introvert character. Many call him "flat" - why? Jim is a quiet guy, speaking less and doing much. He really likes Wen if he opens to him, telling his history with Beam and accepting his help for a closure of that chapter in his life. He already accepted Wen in his life but he knows there are unfinished issues (Alan/Wen) and tries to do everything in a decent and honorable way.
Let's admit that Li Ming is a rebel teenager with a temper and impulsive, the perfect combination for trouble. He thinks he can overturn the world with his bare hands but soon he'll understand in a painful way that he is not able to do that - Jim tries to make him understand his place in this unfair world. Everybody criticise Jim for his poor parenting, I would be curious how many here are parents :)) It's easy to speak from books and movies, but reality is way more chalenging.
I love Li Ming's character, it reminds me at his age - and I think many can mirror in him at that age. But I don't know why he always is in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's like his "speciality". If Heart said he wants out and drive a motorcycle - just let him do it! He wasn't out of his house for 3 years (walking in his shoes) and suddenly "Let's learn to motorbike!" :) And how naive and sweet is he when tells Jim that he will take care of his own problems from now on. If Heart broke a leg or injured his head, Li Ming would have just solved it :)) But Fourth is so damn cute and plays his part really well.
Another voice of reason and a much needed reality check.Thank you.
They do all the dirty and humiliating kind of work, that's what Li Ming would do in USA. Dishwasher in a restaurant would be great because he could eat every day, at least. He knows that working is hard, but he didn't see what means really hard work. Jim didn't give him the opportunity to try it yet.
The amount of times I rolled my fu*king eyes when unprofessional, clingy ass, 2 ring wearing Alan was in the hospital!…
It's so sad. :( He was clingy but he received mixed signals from Wen. After so many years in a relationship when suddenly your half comes and says out of the blue "I don't love you anymore, I want to be only friends", it's difficult to process. You maybe start thinking "Maybe I didn't good enough, didn't show how much I love him" - and start to be more clingy and try to come closer. While the other one hates all these. The biggest mistake was they lived together in that little apartment, slept on the same bed, ate at the same table like nothing happened. I don't blame him. I don't blame Wen either, it was a mistake for both of them trying to warm up a cold soup. Wen hoped that time will do better for his feelings, Alan waited and did more effort to please Wen... They should have put space between them. They would have kept their personal dignity and didn't start to hate eachother.
I hope in the future we will have the opportunity to watch more series and movies like this.

Now: how can we go back to less than this?
But wait, there are people that have a pleasure in criticising. I would like a "mute" option. Even if I am all about freedom of speech, sometimes I would like to be able not to see those comments.
