I could talk about this series for hours! These actors are so delightful. An epi 2 favorite of mine is where they are talking about a meeting with Ishida-san, and neither of them realizes that each is jealously protecting the other. Love love love the deep admiration, respect, they have for each other which fuels the wickedly savvy and smooth flirting . Epi 5, when Nozue says his could kiss him everywhere, I thought Togawa was going to spontaneously combust. Perfection! We need more of this kind of witty, intelligent, subtly sensual writing.

A favorite scene to rewatch is in epi 3, when Nozue is cooking in Togawa’s apartment. It was like Togawa couldn’t believe the love of his life was there. Exquisite.

The micro expressions through that scene are pure gold, especially from Togawa. They were so comfortable, It felt so intimate. This is going to have a permanent spot at the top of my rewatch/perk me up list.

Hahaha especially if they said they kissed a mole on my neck, which is what I think Nozue did. I noticed the one on his neck in the first scene of epi 1, located about where Togawa kissed. I remembered Kurosawa swooning over one on Adachi’s neck in Cherry Magic. 😍☺️
I get the biggest kick out of coming back here everyday, to see who else OFC has cast its delicious spell on. No exaggeration; It merits every superlative written about it and more.

Oh I’ve done the same! I’ve rewatched, focusing on something different Every time. They both have such incredibly kind, expressive faces. THIS is proof that a person can be strong AND kind. They are not mutually exclusive. Kindness/ gentleness does not equate weakness. It shows in how well they are respected in the office. I felt the same about Cherry Magic. Oh. So. Good.
By the way, I think Togawa’s confession is one of the most raw, deeply heartfelt gut wrenching confessions I have ever seen. Another point. I love that they have a deep respect and admiration for each other. It is a true romance. Nozue may not be aware of how deep his feelings are, but they are there. Brilliant acting.
What has been almost miraculous is besides the fact that the series is perfection, the MDL comments have been 100% positive. It’s been such an amazing, delightful reprieve from this angsty angry world. Correction:Sad to have to make this correction. It was 100%, til someone discovered a little pocket of happiness and goodwill, couldn’t leave it alone.. It’s still 99% positive. 😉
