Time skipped a lot forward ep 4... clearly Ju Yeong still has feelings or at least wants some clarity from Do Hoe. I'm excited for ep 5 to learn what Do Hoe has been doing avoiding JY.

Lowkey, I kinda ship Hyeon Ho with Do Hoe now :)) 12 years with an ex bully/lover is an interesting plot to explore imo. Clearly HH is not the same person to DH as he was in the past and actually got a job as a lawyer in a law firm. Clearly he has to be smart like how DH is a tutor at a school near JY taekwondo dojo now. Is it just me?

Why ENA's variety show rarely get official OTT? When their variety are actually so fun to watch. Same quality…
True. I love this show already even just ep 1

6.7 ??? y'all are not watching this drama for what it is, but for what you want at this point. My last comment has it at 6.8, but those who just want a romantic, happy ending drama should stop rating this drama. I get that some people prefer sweetheart and lovey-dovey LGBT drama, but I prefer good writing over being fed with meaningless/cliche romance.

Taiwan and Japan have made some of the most out-of-the-box LGBT dramas out there, and this is one for me. I don't mind that it is unrequited love; it is one of the few dramas that actually shows a love complex where FL1 likes ML1, who likes ML2, who likes FL2, who cares for FL1 as friends, and not another love corner where FL1 and FL2 like ML1 while ML1 and ML2 like FL1.

It is definitely worth watching again for me because, even though it is not a happy ending, it still shows the love every character has for each other, whether it is romantically or as friends. And throughout the slow pacing, you can see that the characters struggle to reconcile their feelings between love and fear of losing a precious friendship.

The drama shows an interesting dynamic and how it would realistically end as the genders that each character is attracted to would not like them back. In fact, I am glad that they didn't make a character suddenly bi-curious or outright re-identify as bi just for a happy ending for one couple.

Overall, I would recommend watching the drama and judging it yourself rather than passing it by because of the rating.

Keam and Ball deserve another series imo. They are so simple, so much potential, so why everything about them is subtext. I demand more actions for them.

The series is pretty good IF it is a teaser series for a larger drama. 6 episodes were quite short for what this…
What I like and dislike about each episode (SPOILER):

EP 1 is a good introduction to the magical component, and the storyline has enough weight alone as a fortune inheritance drama. They should have kept the story surrounding these guys alone rather than expanding the universe of magic. Rendering some characters useless—the male assistant of the first shaman, the hired assassin, the heiress sister who wants to remove her for sole possession of inheritance, and the shaman was good and important but not enough development.

EP 2 is alright. I thoroughly enjoyed Geum Tae Young's moaning for nearly half the episodes. If my understanding is correct, then we have around 3 lords/worshipping pillars here (the bad guy, GTY's master, and the female one). The young shamans want to challenge destiny, while the old ones believe humans should not have/use power to change God's will. Btw, the old masters of both the ML and FL have the potential to be important later, but again wasted.

EP 3 is alright. They want to expand the magic system, but the new storyline for kpop trainees turned out to be unnecessary. They should focus on the mind games between the shamans because this storyline drags on to ep 4.

EP 4 introduces even more wasted potential characters. They have certainly expanded the magic system to include ghosts/demons and cursed items, but the one-repeating storyline of the heiress is really bugging me. Why bring this up a few minutes in each episode if it clearly seems like that storyline has been over? The students aren't gonna appear again, so the kpop storyline is kind of a side quest; the military gang isn't gonna appear again despite not adding anything in the first place.

EP 5 is where it gets bad. Why have a romance storyline between the ML and FL? They work just fine as friends on the same journey. Again, why introduce a new storyline (missing adult daughter) here when you foreshadowed the heiress storyline for 4 episodes only to toss it away now?

EP 6 is a disaster. They tried to wrap up the new storyline, the backstory of ML, the backstory of FL, even a new military storyline, and the heiress sister made a comeback, foreshadowing a new season of their fight against the bad shaman.

I mean, it was quite obvious that a new season is needed with the unexplored characters and ML superpower, so for a teaser drama of a bigger series, it is alright. solid 7 for being so good in the first half.

The series is pretty good IF it is a teaser series for a larger drama. 6 episodes were quite short for what this drama introduces and wants to achieve. The few beginning episodes were great; in fact, I liked it until ep 5–6. Around then, I realized new storylines were introduced, and my worry was correct—it did not have enough time to wrap up everything. TBH they should just stick with the heiress storyline with the magical components. They want to be a drama that dives deeper into the magical lore, but not enough show time for it.
On Parasyte: The Grey Apr 17, 2024
Why are the parasites so weak and moving the main body around? I have only seen 2 episodes, but this has been a common occurrence. One point about the parasites is that they are far superior to the human body, morphing with ease while traveling at insane speed. Hence, the human main body is rendered useless, as focusing on moving the body would be inefficient in combat. I saw comments saying that the drama is good, but right from the start, they did the parasites wrong imo...

(If I remember the original work correctly, then the parasites only control the main body to run away since they are surrounded by guns, and trying to defend against a barrage of bullets was not as good as getting the main body out. Regardless, they still fight while running but that is the only case, if they think they can win, then they will focus 100% on controlling the morphed head rather than moving the human body, much less in a useless way).

Ep 3 is a mess resolved?
Good things:
- Narumi and Tamotsu actually has their feelings resolved. Narumi being the pick me girl finally won. Maybe this is the end of her endless stupidity (naive is not for someone who is stubborn) - maybe she was made out to be a resilient/relentless pursuit of love for Tamotsu... maybe it was supposed to be her unwavering trust and love that won over the insecure Tamotsu, but I am so tired of her BS. At least Tamotsu finally stood up for himself and his own feelings now. His ex, Tokie, finally stop with her pick-me attitude and let him go. A quick redemption for this long mess of a relationship.
Not so good (but somehow not bad):
- Osamu still cares for Narumi knowing they could not be anything more than friends...
- Seika and Junichiro could have been the best second couple, but I guess it is reasonable that they did not. Seika knows too much about Tamotsu that it is possible to believe that she likes him to begin with. However, Junichiro... it is so unexpected that he may also like Tamotsu considering he has a seperate book/album full of Tamotsu pictures! I guess he is just too good at hiding it, but if anything his quick notice of Seika feelings since the start of their friendship and his willingness to let Tamotsu in his house and car could be hinting at it. Except for Osamu, the whole group have a crush on the one guy who had a girlfriend...

Ep 2 is good.
Good things:
- Seika and Junichiro continues to not disappoint. They are the best friends you could get. I lowkey want them to be a power couple at this point. They are so cute together and so understanding of their friends.
- Osamu is such a gentleman. He cares not only for his friends but also his love for Narumi. He and Seika are really the best friends of Junichiro seeing that they go to his birthday party knowing that it is just a meet and greet for rich and influencial people and no one really cares that its Junichiro's birthday. He is considerate for Narumi's feeling despite being in love with her. He has the courage to confess and accept her rejection as they continues to be friends. I would have chose to date Osamu if I was Narumi tbh. He was willing to confess twice - once when Narumi was drunk and again when she is sober.
Continued main story:
- Tamotsu continues to be a problem. He already has a girlfriend and yet he was asking Narumi out and often to apologies. If he had not been sending mix signals and being oblivious, Narumi wouldn't have been led on for so long. And why is Narumi keep forgiving and giving excuses to love Tamotsu. He is way too problematic (probably because he is used to the environment of sex relationships that he could kiss anyone any time). The amount of times she has been upset because of Tamotsu is ridiculous. At least in the end, he cleaared her up as Tokie - his girlfriend is his savior. They are a great match as they both saved each other at one point or another so Narumi should stop embarassing herself.

Ep 1 is a mess.
Good things:
- Seika seems like a good person. She is understanding and not problematic for a SFL.
- Poor Osamu being all nice to Narumi just to find out she doesn't like him more than friends.
- Junichiro seems like a good friend - also understanding like Seika.
Not so great:
- Narumi is like a pick me girl. Sorry but she be chasing after Tamotsu like a moth to fire. I know Narumi falls in love first because a guy handing you a pen when you forgot in your exam is your savior but clearly she doesn't have much self esteem. I thought she was gonna distant herself from Tamotsu from the first kiss (at least for a while), but she be running right back after he apologies. Moreover, she gets jealous when other females approach him (other than her friend Seika in the group). She has enough time and evidence to know Tamotsu is not relationship ready and yet she kept going and complaining to him. Not so suprising to see the annoying FL trope dated quite far back.
- Tamotsu is a red flag. I am sure he didn't mean to hurt Narumi on the first kiss. He clearly has been going around in host bars so maybe his feelings are quite confusing. However, his actions are even more confusing because first he denied that he gave Narumi the pen in the exam room which causes this whole thing. Then, he acted like the kiss means little to him breaking the hope that Narumi had that he remembers the pen. But then, he apologies and go on dates with Narumi. At least he showed her that he is a regular in the host bars business. But then why tell her that he meant to kiss her? why tell her that he remembers the pen? he just push Narumi away then lead her on and repeat. In the last moments you can see that he is also going around with another pick me girl while hiding his dates with Narumi from his friends.

I feel really bad for Li Ran but more so Shen Yao. Li Ran background is poor, but he has someone who cares for him and got into the class that has friends who support him. Shen Yao on the surface is a rich smart kip who always score top 1, but beside that he has nothing. His family only looks loving but actually uses him for their own goods, either his academic achievement or him as a son. However, why do they have to make Shen Yao a bad guy? I get that he is a competitor that Li Ran need to overcome, but they could be good friends. I hope that they could eventually be friends.
