And she is supposed to be very smart. Is she really? She does nothing but goes after her fiance and lets him mistreat her and bully her. Yet she, who is so smart, still goes after him and does nothing else all day long. Her ultimate goal is to please him. And that's the female lead.

That's interesting, we don't see it often in dramas.

She is so silly... Acts a lot like a positive little girl, rather than a grown up woman she is supposed to be. For a person who holds such a power and high position, she is way too naive! We know that people in the politics need to be cunning and manipulative, yet she's too silly for it. How come people say that she is smart? If she was smart, she would be a stronger and cunning female lead. She doesn't pay attention to people and is way too easy to being manipulated by others. It is really annoying to watch her. I got used to strong and cunning main leads, and here... what is it exactly? And does the emperor just do what he wants to? Doesn't he have a court and ministers to deal with? Is he the only one out there? This is way too messed up and doesn't make any sense. I wanted to see a serious historical drama with the fantasy characters (but not xianxia, wuxia type), but the characters here don't make any sense.

Looking at Bo Wang is so painful... because his clothes are awful :( These oversized bulky clothes make his head look small and he is just so... weird. Every time I get used to his outfit, he changes to something worse >_< Man, you're not a Power Ranger! >_<

Did they cut some episodes? It wasn't 40 episodes, right?

I'm on ep 20 and I don't know why it is so hard to just enjoy this drama. It should be interesting... Why it isn't?

Gosh, that part was so unreal... I hardly believe that a young amateur girl could beat experienced emperial doctors with her limited knowledge. Eh...

This drama is so bad and ridiculous but it makes me laugh a lot. I don't know if I can bare watching all the scenes that make me do multiply facepalms. My forehead will be in so much pain.

Try watching Young Blood - it is written by the same screenwiter and somehow it gives similar vibes - very confident, smart and funny male lead + some parody content + lots of action (less politics, most action). I found many similarities between those two dramas.

He doesn't love her in the 1st episode and doesn't care about an unknown person. If he wasn't cruel enough dealing with people, then he wouldn't get into the court.

It actually does get better. The ML is such a manipulative person that it's really nice to watch him being so confident and playing around the other people. I enjoy the power struggle. The ML always know the right answer and use the right strategy to deal with his enemies. Nice.

Maybe it is a bug, because yesterday the ratings were messed up and didn't even show up. Probably they try to fix this now?

I'm currently on ep 9 and I'm wondering if maybe I don't pay it enough attention, but I'm bored with the plot. Is it boring to you? I can't focus on the plot. I am constantly distracted by other things. The overall plot is interesting and I want to see how it improves later on, but it's hard to just watch it.

This drama was postponed too many times. It doesn't give the feel of the nowadays-chinese-dramas. I think I could enjoy it if I were to watch it in 2016 or 2017, but at the moment I got used to something different. I guess nowadays China moved on from abusing male leads that it used to love. Bo Wang is one of them. Hurting the people he loves. We have seen it too many times. Watching it is tiring. I really had high hopes for this drama, but it is a huge disappointed. I keep watching it, because I would love to see the plot improves but it only gets worse. I think I will drop it :(
