Yes, it is a universal formula, because unless you're not smart enough or you're ignorant, you can see if a story is not well-written, has many plot holes, and is unrealistic. A story has nothing to do with personal taste writing-wise.

It's like saying, I like a car, but it only has 3 wheels, but I still enjoy looking at it, but I don't like a car that has 4 wheels because it doesn't look good.

You just described what's wrong with most Kdrama fans. They only care about the VISUALS. You can put almost all of those things in this category, basically.

If you or anyone else can ignore the crap writing, the lazy writing, all the cliche that they didn't handle well enough, not to mention all the unrealistic nonsense and the unfinished plots, well, all of you should rate everything 10/10, because if you don't do that, you're just a hypocrite!

If the writing sucks it can't be entertaining, unless people don't care about the story, they only want kissing scenes and childish romance scenes, but even in that, the show is lacking.

Yeah, it should be lower. Imagine giving 8/10 to a bang average typical romcom with a really bad writing. It's just most Kdrama fans only care about the cute romance scenes and pretty boys. Even with the romance or kissing scenes this drama was lacking.

It's good, but the story is too complicated. They could've ignored the whole plot with the Taesung group. The female cop is really irritating, one of the worst female character I've seen.

Thankfully, the two main lead carried the show and the scenery was great. I just had 1 problem with the ending. One of the villains got a happy ending basically, and that's nonsense.

Yes, they are. Some people are crazy as hell, but some Kdrama fans can't surprise me anymore. Yeah, the other guy who helps is probably part of the love triangle, it's obvious he loves her but for her, he's more like a little bro.

Nothing was hinted till EP4, if anything, the FL literally said she hates him, and the guy has shown no remorse whatsoever.

I can already tell he's gonna make her life even more miserable. For example, mentioning her past about her dad etc. I would be surprised if they don't do anything with that.

Honestly, I hope we won't get any romance in this story. I don't mind her with the ML, but I'd love to see how Kdrama fans having meltdowns because it doesn't have any romance.😂

This story has multiple much more important plot lines than the usual boring romcom. I hope they won't spend too much time on that.

It's not normal behavior, but doesn't make anyone a sasaeng. She also has a much deeper connection with the guy than any other fan, so it's kind of understandable.

What she did is nothing special, fangirls did much worse. Trust me I know, I follow Kpop since 2003.😂

I would love it if people stop calling FL sasaeng. I don't think y'all know what that word means. She's just a typical fangirl, not toxic. Not to mention, they have a real connection, not just Idol and fan. So, it's obvious she's gonna care about him more than a usual fan.

Also, I can understand why Knetz want to cancel this drama, because it's too realistic.😂

She didn't try to do that, she just asked if he would do it after he almost killed him. Tbh I can't blame her when it comes to her dad. After all the shit he did to her and literally no one protected her, I would want to kill him too. The writing sucks big time, especially in the 2nd half of the season. I don't want to spoil the rest, but her being annoying is understandable. Especially after the finale and how the drama ended. Unless they want to make a season 2, this is just pure nonsense.

Annoying? She's anything but that. If anyone is annoying, it's the ML, Junseo. He's 100% useless too.

What turned out to be one of the best 1st episode of the year, ended with one of the worst. When did writers forget to write stories properly?

I couldn't care less about the Webtoon, but if you can't follow your own story properly, what's the point of writing something? This show was saved by the amazing performance of Kim You Jung.

Junseo is the REAL VILLAIN of this story! One of THE WORST male lead/character I've seen!

Yes, but that wasn't the case with the phone here. I get the computer, because I know many people don't log off at their work place. I worked at companies like she did and people looked at me like a weirdo when I always put the PC on sleep mode when I go restroom or just eat.😂

"Hur Jun, the Original Story" or "Today's Webtoon" for example. Both are well-written and under 8.0. 😅 I rate both show 9/10, and I rarely give a higher score than 8.

The reason romcoms are not my faves Kdrama genre is because people always want to make excuses for the shitty script, like: "It's just a romcom." Yeah, sure, but that doesn't excuse the lazy, inconsistent and unrealistic writing. This is a romcom, not a fantasy.

Like, if I want to frame someone, and I'm using her own computer to send a mail and I see a massive smart phone on the table recording, the least I can do is stop the recording. And this is just one stupid mistake the writer made.

8.0 for this show is still too high, considering how many well-written shows has lower scores.

I know, but that shouldn't be the standard. On VIKI every freakin' show is at least 9.0 rated.😂

Everything above 8.0 is really good, and this wasn't. I know it's all about taste, but I've seen 7.0 or below rated shows I actually liked more than this one.

I mean, if 8-8.3 is mid/decent, what can we say about shows that are rated lower than 7? 😅

It's just most people don't like to give lower scores, even if they say they had problems with some dramas. I've read many comments and reviews from people over the years saying the writing was bad, and they give 8+ ratings. It just doesn't make sense.
