I was predicting Kim Taeri to win Best Actress and IU to win Daesang, since Daesang is more of a cultural impact…
TV Shows and Variety are not the same thing. TV shows have a strict rule to follow the script etc. Meanwhile, Variety contents are much more free. This is not about where you can watch it. It's like comparing a painting with a sketch.

Variety is more about improv and following a basic plan/script! You have much more freedom.

I get that, I'm not saying it don't deserve the Award, but Variety shows shouldn't be in the same category with actual TV Shows. Like, if they do this, they could just put everything in 1 category, movies, shows and variety.

My understanding is that the rookie award is open to actors who have not had significant roles in more than three…
It's still nonsense, tho. A Rookie Award should go to actual rookies who debuted that year with an important role. Main or Supporting.

Overall, I think the winners deserved the Awards. My only complaint is that IU should've won the "Best Actress" and Kin Taeri the "Grand Prize (Daesang)".

I think Variety contents should have their separate category, because it's weird to give the Grand Prize to a culinary show. Even if it's that good.

TBH first John wick movie was very good, almost realistic to some extent but after that they just became milking…
I think the first 2 was basically 1 story, so it was good, but the rest is what you said. This is what I hate about Hollywood. If they have a good movie, they think they have to milk it till it's became a joke. It's basically like any other Marvel movie.

Hollywood’s so creatively bankrupt, they’re rebooting reboots and calling it β€˜meta.’ Next up: Fast & Furious…
More like MAINSTREAM Hollywood. There are a LOT of great movies and show in the West and we can say the same about basically every country. Even Kdrama land. The mainstream shows and movies are usually bang average at best.

It has nothing to do with Kpop. Being a good person is not easy at all, actually, it's one of the hardest thing…
You didn't say shit kiddo! All you did is mumbling about some weird shit.

Honeyboo, I met with her multiple times in the past 20 years since I'm a fan of her. I think I know her better than you. It may be hard to understand for you because you live in the US where idiots like you elect orange haired cartoon characters as a president, but it's not my fault, you live in a shithole country.πŸ˜‚

I couldn't care less about toxic Knetz. I don't read Koreaboo let alone Dispatch. Maybe use your tiny little American brain if you have one.

I think you're just butthurt because one of your fave probably a shit person.

I don't know how old are you, but you should stop acting like a 5 year old!

Literally everyone in the Entertainment industry saying the same thing about her since debut days as an Idol. People even called her boring, because even as a celeb she lives a normal, simple life. Even when she had some controversy, because of her male co-stars or something, and their fans attacked her, she never fought back, said anything bad, she always says:

"People with good hearts are the ultimate winners."

That's why people always siding with her, because most people know who she is. You should do some research about her before you talk. Not everyone is a good person just because they're acting nice, but when you have a clean career for 20 years, that speak for itself!

Everyone calls her "The Pride of Girls's Generation" for a reason.

I'm far from being a delulu fanboy, a lot of my fave actors, singers etc did disgusting things, but I'm 100% sure Seoyun is not eating babies or doing bad things, because that's not who she is. You just can't accept that there are actual good people out there, and not everyone is Kim Soohyun.

She is the maknae of girls generation. You are just too young
I'm pretty sure she follows Kpop, or at least 1 group, because her pfp is JK from BTS, so she's probably a boy group fan. They usually don't know anything about girl groups, even if it's the most Iconic one.

BTW, she's still part of the group, it's just they're not that active anymore, but they released an album in 2022 and a cover single not long ago.

no hate to her, i have never seen her, but based on the cmnts she is a kpop idol and i am not kpop fan that is…
It has nothing to do with Kpop. Being a good person is not easy at all, actually, it's one of the hardest thing in this life. That's why there aren't many actual good person. It's not like Seohyun is perfect or something, she just handles her life better than most people, especially celebs, and she doesn't do things that could ruin her image. I follow Kpop since 2003, I'm a fan of Girls' Generation since their debut in 2007 (she's the youngest members of the group), she was like this since day 1. They're the most Iconic Kpop girl group of all-time, so now you can guess how many people watching them for 18 years now. Kpop is toxic in many ways, but we can say the same about the film industry as well.

A lot of people tried to make her look bad in some ways, but in the end she always won, because she handled the situation like a pro, and that's why most people respect her.

I don't care for this movie, but you literally watch bollywood my guy πŸ˜‚
I have 1 simple question: Why are you here then? I mean, other than whining about something you don't even like not to mention didn't even see yet.

I'm the first person who says, ratings don't matter especially on MDL, because most people can't give lower score…
You're probably just an average viewer, but sadly, this comes with my job as well, and most of the time, even when I don't write anything about a show or a movie I watch, I can't just ignore the problems. πŸ˜… To be fair, I'm not as critical, because I give a higher score to a lot of show that deserve lower.

For example, Lovely Runner is far from being the worst ever, I rate it 5/10, so it's basically average, at least in my standards, because between 5-7 is average. Below and above that, you can guess the rest. Without the last 2 episodes, I think I would've given 7/10 but the last 2 irritated the sh*t out of me, lie, I almost throw out my TV.πŸ˜‚ I hate when Kdrama writers mess up their shows in the finale.

My lowest rated drama is 3/10, and the funny thing is, both are led by one of my favorite actresses. I only finished "Abyss" and "Private Lives", because of Park Boyoung and Seohyun.

I don't think, WLGYT is a drama that you can rewatch any time, because it's not feelgood. If you wanna be depressed, you can rewatch it for sure. I don't think you have to have parents like them, I don't have either. Shows like this are made for me, because deeper or slower shows are my type. I don't watch them all the time, because I would need a therapy as well.πŸ˜‚

I'm the first person who says, ratings don't matter especially on MDL, because most people can't give lower score…
And this is why I never rate any Kdrama higher than 9 so far, because most are just pure fun, but if you think about the story a bit deeper you can tear them apart like paper. Not just Lovely Runner but many others as well. This is why I don't watch Comic Book movies anymore either, even tho I love Comics. At one point I thought I need something else, not just brainless fun. I love comedy and feelgood fun where I don't have to think much, but in the case of LR it didn't happen, because the main plot was time traveling, one of my favorite genre. So I was more critical because of that.

There's another brainless fun, Kim Sejeong's latest show, Brewing Love, it wasn't the best, but entertaining, even tho it was clishe as hell and sometimes convenient storytelling with some plot holes too.

When it comes to Fantasy, Scifi or Historical drama I'm more critical. With a drama like WLGYT that is about real people, I only care about acting and well-written characters.
