Right? For me, I believe his acting or character isn't to show emotions. There's been slips there and there like smiling. I feel like his acting protayed his character the way it should be. Even when his with the female lead. That's why the female lead doesn't fully trust him despite her seeing through his schemes.

Yes, that's why I like this couple. It feele different to the other couples I've seen this year. I just like how the leads are unpredictable. One minute, they trust or understand each other. The next, there's trust issues and misunderstand each other. I feel like the dynamics of this two hasn't changed from episode 1 to now. Some dramas change the dynamics and make the couples do things that are out of their characters.

I agree about not being smart when it comes to women's feelings. I blame both of them over this misunderstanding. I feel like both enjoy those conversations more than anything. It keeps them excited. I'm sure after their interactions. They feel the other one is unpredictable 🤣 It makes their chemistry different.

The problem is that he knows what she wants but doesn't realize that just like his intentions in the start for her by him even Hanyan can change hers. I laughed at his proposal. Does he think with that proposal he can woe her to agree? 🤣

Yes, I like that the male lead is sticking to his character as being emotionless. Most characters they say are cold but later change their characters to be simps. I'm glad his focused on his priorities then romance despite his feelings for the female lead.

There's two reasons: one - She is jealous of Hanyan and Yunxi's relationship. She has liked him since their childhood. She thought Yunxi will come around and marry her since he lost his wife then Hanyan came into the picture.

two - her mother isn't the official wife. they aren't considered lineal an title that's important that can't be given to concubines daughters.

I must say that the outfits are cute. It's like I'm watching a fashion show. I saw the marriage outfits. They are so beautiful! For a drama that's not S or S+ I got surprised by their fashion style 🤌❤️

I feel like his approach to the character that we've seen many times it's new. It's hard to read him that's why people don't understand him or his expressions. I think that's how he's character is supposed to comes of as. Not a show-off or dramatized.

That's why I'm enjoying this... The ml is hard to read but there's some things he didn't plan would happen that changed his plans. I think he does like Hanyan more than he shows or he wouldn't let himself get suspended.

Yunxi's main focus has always been the case his working in. There's a time limit to it to solve.

There's times where he let's Hanyan get her way and ruin his plans.

He could've done something but he didn't. He never said he was a good guy. From my perspective, we see there's little emotions with him to outsiders apart his 2 sidekicks and his family. I've seen some soft sides to him that comes to those who he cares about. It's the same as the female lead. That's why Hanyan says they are both selfish. For their family. They'll do anything.

I can understand the male lead at times but since we don't get to see when his not planning or scheming it's hard to read his mind or his actions since we don't know much about him.

I do think his plan was to use Hanyan to get information under cooperation. Hanyan saw through his plans. There's admiration there for Hanyan.

He might suspect that Shiyang is behind his adopted fathers death. his driven by motive but he definitely likes Hanyan more than he thought.

It's not weird since it's a historical drama. Back then, this stuff even in the modern world still happens.

Again, that's your preferences. I don't find it weird. There's dramas some stuff aren't to my preferences I watch with an open mind due the plot or how engaging the storyline is.

Yes, she's morally grey character... I'm also concerned about Yunxi changing his decisions because of her. I remember when she was going taken into custody for the fosters parents death. she acted selfish and manipulative. Pushing Yunxi to help her but she couldn't cooperate with him. I remember her mother's words to her about winning. The male lead warned her about her errors in her case. She was arrogant to learn. Kept acting like the male lead was her worst nightmare.

She wonders why the male lead doesn't trust her. He knows her nature to manipulate that's why he doesn't tell her anything. He knows her desperation for a family and her driven by emotions will ruin his plans especially when it comes to her family.

she thought her father lacks courage and is strongly influenced by the stepmother. When she first came in. She saw through the stepmom. Why can't she see that her father might be pulling a face the moment after the stepmom was exposed. He never reported her. The signs were there.

That's what I'm concerned about. It's okay she loves her family as much as the Yunxi loves his. The difference here, it's that she knows nothing about the 17 years that family has been going through or what they've been doing. She takes decisions based on her feelings. Her impulsive of emotions have been dragging Yunxi. When she has upper hand against Yunxi she acts arrogant. When she loses or in a corner. She seeks his help. When he helps. She doesn't listen to him. She keeps exposing herself.

With the foster parents case instead of listening to Yunxi's warnings and come up with a better backup plan. She picked to focus on her families power struggles. She declared war at Madam Zhou. When she fought back. She had no back up plan. I remember, Yunxi warned her about her statement even took evidence to protect her. She saw him as the bad guy when his been helping her a lot more than what her mother has been doing since she returned.

This two... Today, they are progressing. Tomorrow, they are disagreeing with their different methods of schemes. They use. For Hanyan, maybe, when she's at the Fu mansion she'll hear about a different side to him. After marriage? Plus, I want to see her interact with the daughter more. Some cute moments needed to release the tension.
