Thank you FILOmatka!!! I cannot stand this dubbed voice. It is like marbles in her mouth. This is the same voice for the FL in Wulin Heroes. Completely turned me off. But I'm here for the ML!!!!!
This whole relationship is broken down to one word.... communication. Both are wrong. FL does never clearly state what she wants nor her expectations of him. She knows how he was six years ago and when she slept with him, and they started their relationship again; she should have told him they need to take it slow to make sure they were on the same page.
The ML has not changed. He is still the same as he was six years ago in my opinion. I would have been ticked if he wanted to use the same pictures of our previous marriage because we are starting a new and fresh chapter. I don't want to see those pics. As far as the rings, he screwed that up because he could have just had them reset. He is clueless with what love is or shall we say relationship. She is not far behind either.
She knows how he feels about the lawyer so playing this jealousy game is getting old. The lawyer also knows what the deal is, and he has no chance here, but she did tell him that she did not have time for a relationship, but he still keeps coming.

First of all, the parents...just stop! You all did what you did when these girls were growing up and now these two are women. They are NOW responsible for themselves. EK has been plotting this shall we say "BD takeover" for way too long. She is a psychopath and has too many tendencies of transference to be BD and have her life. Eun San please. OMG! I just watched episode 18. I cannot stop crying. They took his son away and gave him to the birth mother. It was so heartwrenching.... you will definitely cry. That is the cutest little boy. Too much...

But now, her mother wanted to invite him in for tea, and her and the maid were running around removing pictures, turning around a painting only for him to decline.
But when the mother tells the maid to throw out all the clothes, she bought from outside...the suspender pants fall when she is putting them in the garbage, he picks them up and he knows!!! She lives there.
He is a tormented man after that, so he didn't meet her for their appointed dinner date. Then he burned all of his paint brushes, easel, etc. After that, he chained up his place and left again...dang! He never tells her that he knows everything about her but once she sees all the flower bloom in her yard, she knows he knew.

The next episodes: They spend a lot of time together before she leaves, he does send her off, she tells him she hopes he misses her; he cannot stop thinking about her, she does a painting of him, and they just miss each other...
What a great drama! Here is the breakdown for the remaining episodes.
Zhang Ping discovers the backstory of who he is. He did come for Mulou. His mother was pulled in by one of the ministers from the incantation house because of her ability of medicine and they were interested in the bowl. She found out that the empress had planned to take the young prince to her village to heal him because he was sick. She enlisted the help of Lan Jue's father to help stop what was going to be done but only to have them follow them to the village. They killed all of the people. Zhang Ping survived with the water bowl due to his mother telling him to play hide-n-seek with her. When he awoke, he was with his master that had found him and took him to raise him. His people were all healers of medicine, and the bowl was to help people with their troubles. Sad end to the master he dies trying to save him from the guards who were looking for him.
Lan Jue is dealing with his old friend Gu Qing Zhang. He is shady and Lan Jue has his people seeing what he is really about. He finally confronts him and wants to know what is going on. He tells him the story of what happened to him after he left him 10 years ago. He is the empress's son and how he was switched with another local boy at the village of where Zhang Ping lived. He tells him his father was set up by the empress and he plans to take her down.
Zhang Ping meanwhile finally gets to Lan Jue and they basically exchange the same story. But they need to figure out how to stop Gu Qing Zhang. So, they devise a plan where Lan Jue will try to put off the new statue proceedings as long as possible. Zhang Ping dresses up as a doctor to go and tell the empress everything they know.
Lan Jue tries to keep Gu Qing Zhang at bay by talking about the plan, etc. Zhang Ping is laying everything out to the empress only to have Gu Qing Zhang come in because he realized what Lan Jue was doing. Lan Jue agreed to help him in whatever way he could to let him think he is on his side.
Gu Qing tell Zhang Ping about his mother and how she took him and that she was planning to bring him back to the capitol to meet his mother. He told him his family and all of his people were killed by the empress so he should kill her. He gives him the knife to kill her, but he tells him that he won't do it. Gu Qing takes his hand and stabs the empress. She dies. Enter Lan Jue. He knows Zhang Ping didn't do it, but he has to side with Gu Qing because he know he will do something crazy. So, they take Zhang Ping to prisoner.
Lan Jue goes to the prisoner and gets the general to understand what is going down. They get Zhang Ping who tells them that is not the real empress who died. She is hidden somewhere else, so Zhang Ping and Chen Chou (his bestie) go through the tunnels with one of the general's men to find her. Someone alerts Gu Qing what they are trying to do, and they are cornered.
Meanwhile Lan Jue is trying to slow the proceedings of the funeral (which we aren't worried about that statue anymore since she died) for the empress to give Zhang Ping enough time to find the empress. He knows he can't wait forever, so he tells them to seal the coffin.
Gu Qing confronts his brother, yes, he grew up with Zhang Ping, so he considers him his brother. He tells him put in a good effort and the general's man stabs Zhang Ping who dies. Chen Chou flips out but Gu Qing tells them not to kill him so he can take the body.
Minister Lui tells them that the emperor is not the emperor that the one at the border is a fake and Gu Qing (enters at this time) is the real emperor. Then we have the empress (the real one) placed outside of the hall to which everyone is freaked out. But is that really the empress? Gu Qing has Minister Lui show proof that he really is the emperor. They read the bloody cloth statement even see the birth certificate.... only to have Zhang Ping tell them to hold up. Yeah, he didn't die.
He tells them that the real empress is not dead but in the coffin. Yep, she was there. and alive and Zhang Ping had the real birth certificate because what Gu Qing had was a fake. The empress would have left a mark due to the fact that she was sick, and the document would have those marks, so Gu Qing's was a fake after the real empress showed them her hand.
But then we have the release of the red mist, everyone is going to die. Gu Qing takes the empress, and she still does not admit that he is her son until she thinks back and call his name...Tar...empress dies from the red mist...Gu Qing dies from the red mist.
Lan Jue and Zhang Ping save the day by taking the cannons (along with the General, the townspeople, the ministers) up to the mountain and shoot them in the air with salt which causes it to rain. Everyone is saved.
The emperor does return after all that drama with a victory. He does meet Zhang Ping and tells him that he needs to be away from the capitol for a few years so that he can be his Judicial Review officer. He asks him, does he believe that he is really the emperor by blood or not? He said he is only concerned if he is good a good man.
Lan Jue...he becomes a governor and goes to different towns just making sure the emperor's message is carried through... Zhang Ping...he becomes a magistrate of Yiping but he still sells noodles. Wang... (bestie of Lan Jue) becomes a Judicial Review Minister
Lan Jue does meet Zhang Ping again when he goes through Yiping and tells him he has 5 coins for noodles would that be enough...Zhang Ping nods he head...the end.
