This is funny. I am enjoying it a lot. The moms are way over the top. Seriously, we are all going to come like a mob and confront him? Wow! OMG!!!! I cannot take this. So, her husband raped her "bestie" who was staying with them? First of all, she should have moved out of the house. I get it family and all but at some point, she should have left. But why did she stay? She could have told his wife that she was moving out, what had happened or just made up some reason to leave. I mean, was she trying to shield KHJ? Maybe Nam threatened her? He is really good at that. Nam is a sick piece of work. He always is trying to justify his misdeeds with blatant lies. I mean if anyone can bring this house of cards down it is Jang Woo! This dude should be exhausted by trying to keep up with Nam. I guess with him finding out about the affair is that what he meant when he said that KHJ needed to have a "thicker skin" because he knew that this all would eventually unravel?
Then we have KHJ with all of this falling on her. This is one calm woman. She should be really tripping from all of these lies, deceits and coverups. But she has had 20 years to face all of her problems which she never did. Lies never go away. They are always uncovered some way, somehow. She should have told her husband long ago, because her bestie knew. Things might have taken a different turn if she would have taken the "trolley" on the other rail that save one and let the rest die? Which would have been Ji-Hoon.
How can all this play out? Will the Ki-Young's mother-in-law finally get caught in her lie? Will Soo-bin survive or will Jang Woo have something happen to her? Will her bf get the blame if something happens to her? Will the bestie die of an overdose? Or will she be saved by the daughter, KHJ or Jang Woo? Will Nam get the chance to tell KHJ what really happened to their son with the dashcam? Or will she believe it was fabricated? Will they make it through the TV interview? Will someone else appear on camera with them to bring even more surprises?

I said way back when that the EK's ex-boyfriend was coming into the picture and sure enough here he is. I think he still has more to add to this mix as well as BD's guy friend from school. He is going to tell BD what EK did with setting him up to meet her and her mother at the resort and all of the "run-ins" they had. He started to say something before, but EK showed up.
EK's sister is just over the edge to me. She said that she only wanted to have one month with Ji Nam and that was it. Like we believed that. Then when everything was found out EK tells her she should have not gotten involved with a married man. Excuse me? Who is calling the kettle black here? You are doing the same thing. I think EK's sister went WAY too far with seeing Ji Nam's wife and making demands for a divorce. She now has gotten too obsessive.
And who would have thought that the uncle was involved with Ji Nam's wife BEFORE he married her. Didn't see that coming.
But let me tell you, I cannot wait until all of EK's lies come full circle on her. She has to start covering her tracks now. We have the jewelry situation that she created and now that lady is like, "you're an accomplice" so if she goes down, she is taking her right with her. Then we have BD's guy from school which I believe he is going to add some color to the mix. Then we have ALL of the family that is intertwined with this family in some way that will come out.
But CW is on my last nerve. Come on he is saying it wasn't a mistake. In a relationship it works both ways. You allowed yourself to be deceived by her and never really thought about everything she said, the same goes for everyone. They all believed her because of how she acts, and she even admitted that she didn't know her own self and what she was capable of. The thing that pushed him I believe was her martyr speech that she would love him from the side. Give me a break! She will not just stay on the side watching them live their lives.
Her situation she is in is one of her own making and no one told her to be an errand girl, no one told her to stay in a relationship that she knew was going nowhere for five years, yet she did. No one told her that she couldn't be more but herself.
I wish that BD would act all nice to EK and let her feel that everything is ok. Then I would start collecting all of this information on what she has done. Then the best thing would be to have a dinner party and invite EVERYONE her family and all players involved and break it all down. Now that would be the best exposure. She needs to build up to bring her down. EK has thought all of this out. and plans her every move. She is really a psychopath. Her sister is not far behind her either. But if I were BD, I would set her up and bring her down so far, she would NEVER get back up. CW, oh yeah, he would be brought down too. I take everything. It would be a waiting to exhale moment for him big time.

When the phone call ends that screensaver appears. So if she had his phone how could she not know that was her and ask him why is her childhood picture as his screensaver?
After watching TBOY and SSOFV, I guess I was looking for more martial arts but so far I’m finding the storyline to be a bit messy as well as the music being a bit loud which drowns out the actors. I find the FL voice to be annoying like she has a mouth full of marbles. I’m really watching this because of LHY. But only on episode 10 so let see how it goes.
We have now reached the finale. Are you ready to see how this all ends. Well, here we go.
Shen Miao tells Pei that she wants to go to the temple at Noon tomorrow so they can receive a blessing to start over again as a couple.
As they were sleeping Pei has a nightmare and Shen Mial soothes him back to sleep (which remember when he was blind, he said he had good hearing, well that goes in to affect now) only for her to leave the bed and meet Song outside after throwing a pebble at the window.
They devise the plan for meeting again at Noon. Shen Miao is starting to have doubts and Song again starts telling her does she want to see her family annihilated. So, she agrees to it.
Before they leave Pei tells her he knows they still have a lot of things left unsaid, but he hopes now they can have a new beginning. He is willing to give her the country as her dowry if that would make her happy just so long as they are together.
Going to the temple Pei keeps telling her she seems distracted. They reach the temple, and Shen Miao starts to confess that it is a trap. But Pei opens the doors to see Song standing there. He told him he knew he was there. Shen Miao tells him if he knew it was a trap why did he agree to go. To which he said if I didn't come would you ever believe me?
Song attacks but of course Pei has his "bendable sword" and no backup because he didn't take his guard with him due to Shen Miao's request. Song's assassins bring out the chains and take his arms and his legs and slam him to the ground back and front. Until Shen Miao cannot stand it anymore because Song is ready to kill him and threatens to end her life. Song agrees to let Pei go and takes Shen Miao away.
Shen Miao is at Song's residence, and she ask him if Pei is alright. He says his guard has him and he is fine. She asks where her brother is, and he says after you eat, he will be here. Enter her brother. She tells Song that as she told him before they are nothing, but friends and it will remain that way.
Fast forward A YEAR!!!!!
Pei has now left the court. He is no longer regent but a lord at the city Shen Miao and him lived when they were married. Shen Miao is with her family and son. She isn't happy because she hears the news that Pei has been given an edict that he will marry and have 2 concubines. She spills her drink and goes to her room and her maid ask her if she ok. Of course, she says she is. She tells her she is going to see her brother.
And guess what is there, you got it the freakin' BIRD!!! Her brother is playing with the bird and asking why it isn't speaking then it says, "Might be annihilated. Might be annihilated. Might be annihilated. Once it's done, we might lose control. The Song family might be annihilated." Shen Miao is stunned and ask the bird what he said, "Pei you will obtain neither the country nor Shen Maio. Official Pei what will we do with the Shen family when the Qin family falls? The Shen family might be annihilated." Shen Miao FINALLY realizes what Pei was talking about when he said "annihilated."
Pieces start falling into place and she ask her brother who kidnapped him, and he ask her what she is talking about. He said Song came and got him and said they would be away for a few days and then he would meet up with his dad and mom. She berates her brother for not telling her sooner and he said he thought Song had told her.
Shen Miao then starts thinking about all the things Song said: He told her that he probably wanted her to stay at his residence so that he could get rid of the Shen family, the temple meeting and killing him because she wanted her brother back, when he told her, her brother would be back after she finished eating, and finally she realized the only person who was close enough to get the necklace and make a duplicate that Xiao wore was...you guess it...Song!
Song did all this because THE BIRD had flown back and repeated the meeting that Pei and his guard had. Pei realized that they could lose control and the Song family would be annihilated. He did all of this agree to be his ally because of how he threaten the Song family. So, he started training the bird to change what he said about the Song family to the Shen family. Then started making Pei the bad guy.
At last Shen Miao and Song have it out. She told him that he was careful in his scheme always making Pei look like the bad guy and she fell for it every time. She asks Song if she ever knew him all these years. Song says that if Pei would not have been so cruel, he would have remained a businessman and not fought and schemed to be the Prime Minister. He still kept telling her did she really feel safe with Pei. He told her since she left the Song family and wrote the divorce letter he was working with Pei. He was his subordinate helping him to get the throne. Until he heard the conversation that Pei and his bodyguard had that is when he realized that Pei and the Empress would not allow the Song family to grow. He goes on to say more disparaging comments about Pei but he did say that he would not allow anyone to touch the Shen family. Only the Song family would be sacrificed, and he was not going to allow that. He was backed into a corner and planned everything.
Shen Miao understands all the discord and misunderstanding between them was sown by Song. She said she thought everything was done by Pei. But she never expected everything to be done by Song.
The one smart thing Shen Miao said: "she said I'm not smart at all. If I'm not stupid I wouldn't have been fooled by a bird until I'm confused by the truth." (Ya think!)
But Song did have a good comeback for her: "You are wrong. My schemes are not flawless. If you see clearly, you will notice the flaws. Whether it's' me or Pei, you never really trusted either one of us. When something goes wrong, you will side with the other person and doubt one of us. The selfish person is actually you." Are we not clapping for Song right now? Justified smackdown on her!
After that she thinks about Pei, and just cries because she realizes everything through the years that she did to him. At the temple, he didn't say anything because he knew the truth and it was a trap. He was willing to give up country, position of the court just for love.
Shen Miao tells her family everything about what Song has done. They are devastated and upset that they did not trust him.
Pei comes back to town because he is getting his new concubines. Song now has the position that he wanted which was Prime Minister. The Majesty ask him if he now happy to have this position while giving up the woman he like. He said as long as she is happy, he has no regrets.
Finally, after all of the "fake" trying to find a concubine, Shen Miao burst into the room only to find Pei alone. He said she is finally there. The next day they have their wedding. The Ninth Princess gives up her title and is set to marry Pei's bodyguard. The maid has decided that she wants both men because she can't choose.
So, that is it for this lame drama. The BIRD is the one that ran this drama by what it said. So sad. Again, my hopes for this drama were high seeing who the MLs were and the FL. But I think just take it with a grain of salt and watch it when you really have nothing else to do. To invest in 30 episodes is way too long.

And here we are at episode 27 and 28...two more to go. I'm so done you don't even know! But at this point...hey, I have to finish.
So, we left off that everyone was headed in their own carriages to the capital. Pei now can see and so his two bodyguards know and devise a plan to get Pei into the carriage with Shen Miao. What might that be? Why of course to lose the horse. Pei, Shen Miao and Song all are in the carriage to which Song is not liking. But Pei then has his men tell them the wrong way and go into a small town where the Ninth Princess is.
The Ninth Princess sees Shen Miao and says, "You are alive. It's been two years." Shen Miao and the Ninth Princess catch up with her telling Shen that she is to go to a border town to marry the prince for peace. Shen Miao ask doesn't she love Pei's closest bodyguard. Which she says she does but she doesn't know how to get him to admit he loves her. But the Ninth Princess has a plan to perform a play which ONLY Shen Miao can do because no other actors have the caliber to do the play.
Now, Shen Miao still believes that Pei is blind but (and we knew this had to happen) during the play she keeps staring at Pei until she trips and Pei "flies" across the room and catches her on the stage. She glares at him and ask how long he could see. A fight ensues on the stage and the Ninth Princess says take it backstage. Pei asks Shen Miao if he hadn't been with her first would she be with Song. She said yes. He asks her did she ever at any time love him. She said at one time but not now do to all of his lying and scheming. Pei was done and walked out.
They are now headed again to the capital because they got thrown out of the place they were staying because the two guards were fighting over the maid.
Pei calls Shen Miao out of her carriage and says he knows he lied about his eyesight recovering but that doesn't change the fact that she was missing for TWO YEARS with Song. He told her he is not holding her accountable, but he will not be separated from his son, and he no longer wants him calling him "grand uncle" when he is father. The agree to three months at his place.
They go to Pei's residence and Song is ticked. He doesn't want her to go but she tells Pei she needs a moment with Song. At this time, her father throws a stone at Shen Miao, and they go to Song's place and do a debrief. Of course, all blame is placed on Pei. Her brother has been kidnapped and they are saying Pei did it. Really? After he had men planted there to protect the family? She seriously is falling for Song's load of crap and forgetting what Pei told her. The dad and the aunt are saying Pei is the bad guy here and he isn't. She said that she gave Pei the necklace and he could have taken the money and he didn't to which they show "another" necklace the same as the one Xiao is wearing which was Pei's from Shen Miao.
As they are talking Song looks out and sees an assassin and gets in the way of her father and takes the arrow. (Roll eyes, complete set up by Song WE know). So, Shen Miao is running over trying to make sure he is alright. Her dad and aunt stay at Song's place and Pei is none the wiser. But Song's bodyguard comes back and has a token that only Pei's guards carry which was on the assassin who tried to kill her father. She now believes that Pei is out to kill her family. Her and Song are going to devise their own plan to get rid of Pei once and for all.
Shen Miao tells Song that she is going to stay at Pei's place to get answers as to where he is hiding her brother. She goes back and Xiao is sitting in the study. Well, Pei does make it happen that his bodyguard and the Ninth Princess will get together because he took his bodyguard before the Majesty and told him another way, they could satisfy the border town without sacrificing her. Pei's bodyguard went to see the Ninth Princess and I believe love will prevail here. But of course, Song was telling his people not to let Shen Miao know about the Ninth Princess problem because she would be upset. Now I guess he is somehow going to take the credit if he hears the two are together.
You know it is coming.... come on. You know where I'm going. You all feel it...THE BIRD!!!! Yes, that freaking bird is back. So, Song tells his bodyguard to bring the bird to him because he is bored. He told him he was injured so he should rest...please, that was set, the assassin knew where to aim so he was fine. Guess what he is telling the bird..."annihilate the Shen family." Ok, enough already! She is wholeheartedly already believed the bird the first time regarding her family and her life so we know if she hears this from the bird again...she will be a believer for sure. I just can't!

Shen Miao understands all the discord and misunderstanding between them was sown by Song. She said she thought everything was done by Pei. But she never expected everything to be done by Song.
The one smart thing Shen Miao said: "she said I'm not smart at all. If I'm not stupid I wouldn't have been fooled by a bird until I'm confused by the truth." (Ya think!)
But Song did have a good comeback for her: "You are wrong. My schemes are not flawless. If you see clearly, you will notice the flaws. Whether it's' me or Pei, you never really trusted either one of us. When something goes wrong, you will side with the other person and doubt one of us. The selfish person is actually you." Are we not clapping for Song right now? Justified smackdown on her!
After that she thinks about Pei, and just cries because she realizes everything through the years that she did to him. At the temple, he didn't say anything because he knew the truth and it was a trap. He was willing to give up country, position of the court just for love.
Shen Miao tells her family everything about what Song has done. They are devastated and upset that they did not trust him.
Pei comes back to town because he is getting his new concubines. Song now has the position that he wanted which was Prime Minister. The Majesty ask him if he now happy to have this position while giving up the woman he like. He said as long as she is happy, he has no regrets.
Finally, after all of the "fake" trying to find a concubine, Shen Miao burst into the room only to find Pei alone. He said she is finally there. The next day they have their wedding. The Ninth Princess gives up her title and is set to marry Pei's bodyguard. The maid has decided that she wants both men because she can't choose.
So, that is it for this lame drama. The BIRD is the one that ran this drama by what it said. So sad. Again, my hopes for this drama were high seeing who the MLs were and the FL. But I think just take it with a grain of salt and watch it when you really have nothing else to do. To invest in 30 episodes is way too long.
So, we left off that everyone was headed in their own carriages to the capital. Pei now can see and so his two bodyguards know and devise a plan to get Pei into the carriage with Shen Miao. What might that be? Why of course to lose the horse. Pei, Shen Miao and Song all are in the carriage to which Song is not liking. But Pei then has his men tell them the wrong way and go into a small town where the Ninth Princess is.
The Ninth Princess sees Shen Miao and says, "You are alive. It's been two years." Shen Miao and the Ninth Princess catch up with her telling Shen that she is to go to a border town to marry the prince for peace. Shen Miao ask doesn't she love Pei's closest bodyguard. Which she says she does but she doesn't know how to get him to admit he loves her. But the Ninth Princess has a plan to perform a play which ONLY Shen Miao can do because no other actors have the caliber to do the play.
Now, Shen Miao still believes that Pei is blind but (and we knew this had to happen) during the play she keeps staring at Pei until she trips and Pei "flies" across the room and catches her on the stage. She glares at him and ask how long he could see. A fight ensues on the stage and the Ninth Princess says take it backstage. Pei asks Shen Miao if he hadn't been with her first would she be with Song. She said yes. He asks her did she ever at any time love him. She said at one time but not now do to all of his lying and scheming. Pei was done and walked out.
They are now headed again to the capital because they got thrown out of the place they were staying because the two guards were fighting over the maid.
Pei calls Shen Miao out of her carriage and says he knows he lied about his eyesight recovering but that doesn't change the fact that she was missing for TWO YEARS with Song. He told her he is not holding her accountable, but he will not be separated from his son, and he no longer wants him calling him "grand uncle" when he is father. The agree to three months at his place.
They go to Pei's residence and Song is ticked. He doesn't want her to go but she tells Pei she needs a moment with Song. At this time, her father throws a stone at Shen Miao, and they go to Song's place and do a debrief. Of course, all blame is placed on Pei. Her brother has been kidnapped and they are saying Pei did it. Really? After he had men planted there to protect the family? She seriously is falling for Song's load of crap and forgetting what Pei told her. The dad and the aunt are saying Pei is the bad guy here and he isn't. She said that she gave Pei the necklace and he could have taken the money and he didn't to which they show "another" necklace the same as the one Xiao is wearing which was Pei's from Shen Miao.
As they are talking Song looks out and sees an assassin and gets in the way of her father and takes the arrow. (Roll eyes, complete set up by Song WE know). So, Shen Miao is running over trying to make sure he is alright. Her dad and aunt stay at Song's place and Pei is none the wiser. But Song's bodyguard comes back and has a token that only Pei's guards carry which was on the assassin who tried to kill her father. She now believes that Pei is out to kill her family. Her and Song are going to devise their own plan to get rid of Pei once and for all.
Shen Miao tells Song that she is going to stay at Pei's place to get answers as to where he is hiding her brother. She goes back and Xiao is sitting in the study. She pulls out the necklace that was Pei's and compares it to the one Song gave her and said it was a match except for the crack. Duh! And now she believes that Pei is trying to scheme against her family again.
The storyline in these 2 episodes revolved around Shen Miao's maid and the two guards that like her. Wasted space.
Pei and Song after two years finally went back to court and lo and behold the Majesty appeared. Did he do nothing in those two years while Pei and Song were gone? Well, Pei does make it happen that his bodyguard and the Ninth Princess will get together because he took his bodyguard before the Majesty and told him another way, they could satisfy the border town without sacrificing her. Pei's bodyguard went to see the Ninth Princess and I believe love will prevail here. But of course, Song was telling his people not to let Shen Miao know about the Ninth Princess problem because she would be upset. Now I guess he is somehow going to take the credit if he hears the two are together.
You know it is coming.... come on. You know where I'm going. You all feel it...THE BIRD!!!! Yes, that freaking bird is back. So, Song tells his bodyguard to bring the bird to him because he is bored. He told him he was injured so he should rest...please, that was set, the assassin knew where to aim so he was fine. Guess what he is telling the bird..."annihilate the Shen family." Ok, enough already! She is wholeheartedly already believed the bird the first time regarding her family and her life so we know if she hears this from the bird again...she will be a believer for sure. I just can't!
If she thinks about where she should be placing her anger and her rage, it should be towards Song, not Pei. Song is the villain here. When he is talking to the bird, he is saying I will have power. And the whole necklace, one has a crack (the original) and one doesn't. What opportunity would he have to do it? She was gone for TWO YEARS. He could have depleted all of the money they had by now. He could have killed her family by now. Honestly, she is the most frustrating woman.
Oh, and the family was finally leaving the border because they heard that Shen Miao was almost killed. Hello...she was supposed to be dead for TWO YEARS. The news your way is a little late.
I mean I love the two male leads...but the female lead is just so working my nerves until I can stand her pure stupidity. A bird...a bird...such a sad piece of writing. I can't say it enough that I had such high hopes for this drama. Down the tubes big time.
