The casting could not have been more perfect than yinwar. This is going beyond my expectations and i am loving…
I know what you mean! I think the director's cut for episode 1 to 3 will make it even better from the beginning, but they made some needed changes to bring a better flow to the story, which the actors brought perfectly. I love it :p!

Also, because I have a lot of thoughts. I can see their love languages emerge as they 'battle'. Vee finds it hard…
Nicely written! The whole issue they have can be brought down to communication :p, remember people, communication is always important in any kind of relationship!

I love how you write this in the middle. They actually make the second book for them end in such a way. Where it evolves from being a lover to love, it now evolves to wanting the other to be happy for them to be happy.

They need to make the other happy, for in return themselves to be happy as well. Makes for a nice ending :)...

I got to say I had no high hopes for this series. En of love was alright but I got bored soon and I didn't think…
Well there is a difference to it in Vee's logic. Vee originaly slept with Mark to teach him a lesson to leave his friend Bar alone. Even in the series they made this by making it drunk sex. Towards Vee, as he has said it himself also in the books on multiple occasions, this was not an act out of love from the start.

He did feel guilty towards Mark from doing that, which makes him start taking care of him while Mark was being quite down and lovesick about the whole Bar thing. In this time we get that Ploy is always 'with friends' (with Ton really) that makes Vee always end up with Mark and taking care of him, resulting in Mark and Vee getting feelings for one another.

In the book there is the difference, Vee was not in love while he started sleeping with Mark, and while he started taking care in the beginning for Mark, it was mostly out of guilt for the things he had done, not love (not yet anyways :p).
BUT: for Ploy it is different, she did all this out of love towards Ton, while being with Vee. With Vee love happened by chance, but Ploy did knowingly because she was already feeling something for Ton.

So, Ploy has basically been cheating on Vee for months with this "friend", and we're supposed to understand her…
In the books they made a different narrative, but the series will likely more focus on a more progressive plot with reasoning and understanding more.

For instance here they act like Ploy is not wealthy herself and she plays with Ton to get a new cellphone. In the books we know that she actually comes from a better family and money is no issue, while Vee is from a poor family (not like really poor, but not wealthy).

Mark also knew from the start that Vee had a relationship with Ploy, which Vee never denied. So while he fell in love with Vee, he decided that even if it would hurt, he would try it anyways and be that extra person for as long as it would last (he was always convinced Vee would remain with Ploy and leave him). This only happens when he gave in to his feelings, which he tried not to do, but they were stronger.

Even the whole car accident and scene with Ton and Ploy did not happen in the books, so they do this to give more emotion to the story and more flow.

Vee is so much of a hypocrite and doesn't know what he wants, just like in En of love but at least that wasn't…
While the actress who played Ploy is not listed in the 'En of love series', she is most definitely not the same as we see in here.

In the short episodes from En of love, they (Mark and Vee) end up as a couple to start anew after having broken up.

Anyways it will most definitely be a happy ending for the couple.

So technically they started cheating around the same time just that Ploy developed feelings from before the act…
We do get more of his way of thinking in the books tho, which gives a better narrative. Here we get that Vee first helped Mark out of guilt seeing him in such a bad shape being lovesick over Bar, that he end up helping him a lot (guilt that turns to love later on), which makes Mark end up falling for Vee. He does know Vee at the time is in a relationship with Ploy, and willingly (even if it hurts) accepts that fact knowing their own relation will result to nothing probably. Not that it makes it better, but towards Mark, Vee did not lie about the relationship he was in. This only happens because Ploy was always bussy 'with friends' (being with Ton), that made Vee always end up with Mark.

At the end of book 1 Vee will get his share for doing so, and we will see Mark showing attitude more. But in the end you can't help who you love, and like the books says 'if you both are in so much pain from being apart, why not start anew'.

Not to make you hate me, but in book 2 we get a reversed situation as well from Mark towards Vee (albeit not that explicit or far reaching). At that time we once more get reminded that while Vee was with Ploy still and seeing Mark, he already had made up his mind to be with Mark, just not how to do it. As we know he had trouble accepting it since his brother Yoo was already out and about being gay, so the family had puts his hope for grandchildren on him and he did not know he was bi/gay/pan or whatever he identifies himself with.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for Vee? Because I don't. The biggest hypocrite ever, OMG, I can't with him. Seriously,…
Hmmm actually there is a difference tho. I would endeavor they both are equally wrong in just about the same time. Like Ploy said, she knew someone was already chasing her while being with Vee, and allowed for it to happen (she wanted to play with Ton as she said, but ended up having feelings for him). Meanwhile at that same time we have Vee who has drunk sex with Mark (This is different from the books tho!).

When Ploy is 'with friends' (= new boyfriend) all the time, we get Vee who is left by chance always ending up with Mark or investing his time to (partialy out of guilt, later on because of feelings) help Mark out of his severe lovesick for Bar (which makes Mark end up falling for Vee instead).

In the end even by today's ending of the episode, we know Ploy and Vee still were on the point of wanting to break up, but still decided equally to just take a break to clear out their emotions they have for the other new love interest. They both seemingly want to make sure they do the right thing to break up and be with the one they have feelings for.

They do however make it in a way in such we can't really hate Ploy, which is also nice for once. Mostly they end up making the woman a joke villain for the plot, with Love Mechanics, it is not the case. Hope they not change that in the series, but in the books it is not.

Title Check Out
This is what we call much to do about nothing. I guess maybe as a 'mistake to cause some attention' or just really a slip of the tongue, whatever the case, it is not porn or even explicit nudity they show (topless only or with undies). Something like a make-out session, just 2 dudes instead.

I find the words of the article/director at least misleading in that regard, but it has been clarified. Instead of that focus, I hope they write the story better, they had a good plot to work on, but they give us some weird trainwreck instead.

Sidenote: I do applaud the actor's behaviour in being professional about this all. We old fans still remember the angled kisses and forced tipping the lips kisses from a few years back. It is good they take it more artistic.

I like your non-judgmental way of thinking. When we're young we make a lot of mistakes due to immaturity, but…
Thank you for your kind words :). It is true I like a type of story like this more. We see a more noteable change in character as they start bad, but grow and become better. Plus: it gives a more realistic vibe in a way. I like grey characters for instance. They are neither good nor bad, somehow in between, like we all are. Fluffy stuff is good near the end or in follow up series as snippets, but not as a whole. It is just hard to make that interesting, or you need to bring focus to external drama.

If you also differentiate book from series, I am quite eager to see how they gonna keep bringing their story. In reality the first book has a good plot to work on, just some details to change to make it better and it can really hit you. The second book makes it less somehow, but that is also because at that point they should have made a different plot for them as a whole. I do wonder if they will include some of it in this series, for instance the roles of James and Thewpai (book 2 more active).

Untill we know more, Vee will have to keep on working with gaining Mark's trust :p.

That is mostly because Vee is very possessive as a character, so even if by this point he is subconsciously choosing…
True, we see a noteable change here in the drama vs the book for the character Vee. I think they made this so he would be less hated in the series (which they did make better here in the series I find), than you feel in the first book for him (he kinda needs to grow on you).

In the book, we have the questionable rape scene, which was done to teach Mark a lesson to leave Bar and his lover alone. From this act, he does feel guilty and is shown to progress from being worried about Mark in general and his lovesick attitude (drunk, moody, isolation etc.) to really starting to care for him (first out of guilt for having had sex with him) that evolves to more. This also happens when his relation with Ploy is getting worse, so he often ends up with Mark because of this.

The series however made the important change to not include the rape, but instead made it 'drunk sex', which I find greatly done and needed. Here we see more the sleeping made him have feelings for Mark (jealousy, moody, etc.) in combination with his failing relation with Ploy. They also made Mark more direct in this approach as well, for in the series he tells about Ploy cheating on him, which in the books doesn't happen. He did know about it, but he did not tell, it was Bar who told him after seeing it, and we later know Yiwa was also aware of it for some time (but did not tell him).

:p sorry for the long reply :D!

When you read the books, you will notice the drama made some noteable changes. I believe the director's cut will be filling in gaps from the novel to make it more progressive. That way you can follow their emotional train better. I love the improvement on the acting so far from Yin's side (Vee), War (Mark) is just a natural at expressions.

Gotta say, you hate the character Vee a lot at their start, but no worries, the story ain't over. I guess the reason why we love stories like these, is because they serve us a more bad going good vibe, which works well with the characters and story somehow. I really wanted to kick their butts in the books for all the things they did etc., but still I like them as a couple. No matter how bad they got, they needed each other. Guess that works better instead of overfluffy couples xD!

War is cute af as Mark, and together with Yin (Vee) they are doing a dope job on this series. Needless to say,…
That is mostly because Vee is very possessive as a character, so even if by this point he is subconsciously choosing Mark (which started as revenge/teaching him a lesson) instead of his gf, he still considers his gf 'his', and because of his thinking, making the mistake with Mark, makes him feel responsible and with guilt to start caring for him and having him also as 'his'.

It's an okay to watch series, but the limited time and episode count make it all feel rushed near the end. We get 2 eps getting to know the characters a bit, 2 eps for the stalker, 1 ep closing the stalker and 1 ep ending. Before you get into it, it is already over. I did find the concept a bit more fun this time, simple yet easy to portray.

The most projected form is the general engineering, now we differentiate to the faked computer engineering, that in reality is automechanical engineering. I call it a small evolution :p

Quality production, good acting, a good (needed) adaption from the original source material, good flow and script. I'm sure if they keep this up, it will be a good one for some prizes even. 2022 is not yet half way there and we have had some very good shows already! Shout-out to the actors, they really bring the series to a next level.

Extra shout-out to the realistic kissing scenes. No more to the fake side angle kissy kiss, no more to the forced we put a gun at your head forced to 'kiss the love of your life lolz', no more to we are so lovey-dovey but kiss on the cheeks only, ... . If you are a pro and want to act in a show with BL kissing scenes, just be a pro and do it.

As for a quick run through about the series, I don't really see the problems in this series tho. Sure it was not perfect or had things we wanted to change/edit, but overall the quality change is a nice thing to notice. When you have been around for a while, we should be happy to have more quality productions. Considering the details, I would still recommend to view this show. I hope the industry in Thailand picks up on the quality before quantity. We have a lot these days, but the quality is not always better.

To counter the negative opinions a bit, here are a few positive things:
* Kiss scenes (they are real, a lot and not forced)
* Side couples don't overpower main couple
* Begin to end story
* No rape (shame this has to be included still)
* No engineering (not a real thing anyways)
I do have to mention they did alter some plots from the books to make it more acceptable these
days (which I agree upon), otherwise some elements would not have turned out the way they did.

In my personal view, I found the sidecharacters a bit too annoying for my taste. I did however like the main plot, I think they did portray it better than expected - for most are newbies - but they could have just slightly invested more in the main plot. Overall good to watch, not that much drama :).
