Halfway there and so much needs to happen. I hope they don't rush too much near the end, for now the happy times are blooming, but the dramaclouds are glooming *evil laugh*. I had hoped they made this series with 12 episodes, seeing as the director knows what he is doing with the show.

High hopes for future project for this ship as well, since I would love to see them playing in another universe of plot :)!

Is Vee's father homophobic? I keep getting weird vibes from him especially when Vee said "He doesn't like it when…
Both of Vee's parents are quite supportive and a major asset to the later stages of the relationship between Vee and Mark, so no he is not homophobic. I would more think of that in a lighter way of Mark's father, who does have some major issues resolving around Mark's relationship choices and Vee in particular.

As mentioned, Yoo (Vee's brother) is out and about being gay openly, so the only thing that plays for the parents at the stage of Vee and Mark, is they expressed their wish on having grandchildren one day. This plays one of the thoughts in Vee's mind when first starting having feelings about Mark, but it is also quickly noted that Vee's parents just wish him luck and happiness, no matter with who.

When Mark and Vee break up, Vee's parents are known to the fact their other son is also in love with a boy (Mark), and show support as they see how Vee is doing really bad from losing Mark. When Mark and Vee reconcile, Vee's parents play a pivotal role when the parents of Mark, in particular his father, disapproves of it openly and goes to meet the parents of Vee for clarification. Here we see Vee's parents taking it up for the relationship they have. (but expressed in a rare moment if they had known from the start, they would disapprove as well, I think they emphasize on how the two dated during his time with Ploy tho mostly)

Remember that Mark and his father have always had a bad relationship in the past, it is actually with the help of Vee and Mark's mother they get passed this stage and be more supportive of the other later on. With Vee proving his worth to Mark's parents, Vee and Mark's father will have a form of love-hate relationship going on, where they both pry on the affection of Mark and teasing the other about how they themselves are more important for Mark etc lolz.

Episode 5 felt transitional. We were all waiting for Vee to say something to Mark directly. The editing towards…
Near the end the series picks up again to the novel, we can assume the time lapse at best is just a day or so. After the exams, there is the initiation of the new kids following the SOTUS-traditions, happening at the beach, so while abrupt it is just because they went a bit out of the box from the novel for most of the 5th episode (but in a good way).

Some nice scenes in Ep5, particularly the late-nite talk that Vee had with his brother. After the dinner scene…
For what we know from the novel, Vee's parents are not homophobic and will play an important role in being supportive of Vee and Mark's relation. They might make the 'dramatic' pretense for his reaction for the small play that they had liked grandchildren and with Yoo already gay, their hopes were on Vee. The novel mentions the parents, if they had known it from the start, would be less supportive of their relationship, but by the time they found out, they saw how bad Vee was doing and how much he loves Mark (during their break up) that they just wanted their son to be happy. They help accept Vee with Mark's parents, be supportive for their relationship and in general are positive parents.

wow was not expecting them to be a couple so early. Actually very surprised. Its nice to see that Vee actually…
Mark and Vee are still to become a couple, I guess this episode makes their status quite obvious for one another, but they did not make it clear yet. The novel during this time also makes it not clear, but the next episode (as in the novel with the beach arc) will make it more clear.

Can someone tell me why Vee's dad was awkward around Mark when he met him during dinner??
Actually this does not happen in the novel, so the series made this for whatever reason. In the novel, as mentioned before, Vee's brother Yoo is out and about being gay, so Vee's parents did mention the wish of having grandchildren one day. This plays a small part only, for the happiness of their son is the most important. They play a significant role later on in the novel as well.

While the parents were never against Vee and Mark's relationship plotwise, we heard they did find it hard at first (when speaking to Mark's parents about this, they being less enthousiastic about their sons dating each other) and would it have been known to them at the start of their relationship, be less supportive of it.

However! When Mark and Vee break up temporarily, and both Vee and Mark take a turn for the worse while not being with one another, Vee's parents see how badly Vee is doing (this is where Vee outs himself to his parents and what had happened between Mark and him, making them officialy know what was going on). The parents then resolve in supporting their son, and accepting Mark as their son-in-law when they reconcile.

Oh my God. OK, let's get it out of the way: can we talk about War's body? So perfect. So many things happened in…
Except for Nuea chasing Mark, the series portrays Vee as being a much nicer person during the time he is seeing Mark while still being with Ploy. This helps in making Vee less of a jerk and that they are having a real thing already, just not in public name only. The 5th episode does not follow the novel during this time, but only near the end for their beach trip that is for ep 6. Instead we get a bit of Vee thinking about things with Mark and Ploy, which they made much better in this episode.

This episode kept setting up situations that made my toes curl thinking something shit was going to happen by…
True, the episode makes Vee a much nicer guy than the novel. Most of the episode is outside the canon of the novel, near the end we get the beach arc which will be an important and mostly happy part before the drama will start.

We get more of Vee his mindset through conversations with others like with Yoo about how he feels about Mark at that time (making it clear he does feel something and it is not just sex), meeting his parents (important on it's own really), ignoring Ploy when he could have talked with her, etc etc. The novel does not do this at all, we just get a flow of thoughts from Vee that resolves around how he is starting to see and feel about Mark. The beach arc coming up in ep 6 will provide his answer in to what he will do about Ploy and how he feels about Mark.

The ending is most definitely going to be a happy one, but before that ... you know drama will come to town! Remind the story is about two imperfect souls having a imperfect relationship AKA drama drama before happy happy

The EN adaptation only had 4 EP; Thank God this is longer we get to have scenes we didn't see before. Who knew…
Yes in the novel Yoo (Vee's brother) also plays a pivotal role for the two. He is actually the first person to find out they are having something going on for the night Vee brought Mark to his home and having sex, they were quite loud and Yoo heard everything. So he was quite surprised finding out the next morning Vee brought home Mark. During the time Ploy breaks with Vee and Mark is waiting for Vee, it was Yoo who kept in touch with Mark about how Vee was doing. After Yoo supports his brother, after scolding him in losing Mark, to not give up and try his best to win the trust of Mark again, while not making the same mistakes from before.

I really loved Nuea's storyline with the twins in the previous version.. feels like they are gonna divert from…
I believe the boy he bumped into the market might have a role later on in the series for being his love interest perhaps. That would mean he is Tossokan's younger brother tho, as that is who Nuea will end up with as a couple. Might be to make him have a happy ending as well, for he will not be with Mark.

So far this has been a good series. But some minor editing and story flow issues :-although obvious they never…
To answer on some questions from reading the novel myself:, spoileralert!

- The series did not mention he was the brother of Vee, it is tho rather quickly resolved. More still, in the series the brother is out and about being gay (mentioned now in ep 5 also), so this plays as a 'keep in mind fact' that Vee did wonder what his parents would say if they knew he too was seeing a boy (the parents want grandchildren lolz). So he worries about their reaction. Vee's brother also plays an important role between the two, for he was the first to know they had something going on (Vee and Mark had sex in their house that night while being drunk, and said brother heard everything! So that is why he kinda looks surprised when he sees them both in the morning, more over that Vee brought home a boy :p).

- In the books, the parents of Vee do not have any problems with him being gay, for they saw firsthand how devestating their son was when Mark broke it off with Vee. The parents also knew of what Vee had done to Mark during this time, and were supportive in Vee getting back to Mark. I hope they portray them as well like this in the series, for they are quite refreshing as parents. For them the happiness of their son is the most important, no matter with who.

- The ending of episode 5 is the canon from the novel, were they will focus on the 'beach arc' where Vee will realize his feelings for Mark and be expressive about it after they had another fight. He resolves breaking up with Ploy during this trip, for he makes the mental choice here to pick Mark and have him be his bf. Everything before was made from the series and not really in the books. That is why it might seem too abrupt.

I mean I love this bl but I don’t like how the story line make it seem like ploy is the only one cheated am…
I don't see they frame Ploy alone, in fact the part of Vee seeing Mark with still being 'a couple' with Ploy is lowkey always there and being reminded off by the others.

Ploy also started something (not with feelings at that time) playing with Ton before Vee even did something to Mark, but regardless they kinda both went cheating around the same time, making one not directly connected to the other. They just both were at the end of their relationship, even without Mark, their relationship would have ended.

The reason why Vee does have it hard about Ploy cheating on him, is because he regards his having sex with Mark as a mistake, for he did not have feelings for Mark at that time (is kinda repeated a lot of times also), but because of doing so, he started out from guilt towards feelings for Mark. Ploy on the other hand cheated with Ton because of having feelings for the latter. If Vee perceived Ploy just made 'a mistake' like him, without the feelings, he could understand it for he did so too, but it was not a mistake, she did it knowingly.

The funniest thing about the first episode with director's cut, is when Vee is gonna search for Mark, and now we see him say a line to Ploy about him leaving :p, I just find it funny they cut even a line like that.

In general the director's cut for episode 1 makes it 10 min longer, so we have a lot of short extra clips in between. Nothing too much really, just a better flow in general. People who won't watch these won't really miss something big in episode 1 for now.

I just saw the first one, they put in on WeTv below the original episode, with the tag 'Director's cut' on it, so you can't miss it.

mark has no self respect.
I think he does have a lot of selfrespect, but he finds it difficult to cope with his feelings. He never had this feeling for someone like Vee, let alone this strong. They do not show it enough perhaps, but he does try and do a lot to get past his love for Vee on multiple and long occasions. But in the end as they said it in the novel, when they are so happy being together, why should they continu grow worse, dark, sad and unhappy being away from one another.

I know it sounds weird, but their story resolves around being imperfect people who fall in an imperfect love story. But no worries, they will get there. Both Mark will grow some backbone, Vee will not just be the jerk anymore, but the story needs to unfold.

This isn’t the ‘’break up’’. They aren’t even really together yet. They’re just kinda like dating…
No worries, I read the novel just recently. They follow the major plot line of the book still, just making better choices regarding flow and since they use lengthy episodes, they are bound to include some extra scenes as well.

As mentioned above, the break here is not the breaking up yet. Now we have Vee having some time to analyse his feelings more in debt without feeling guilty towards Ploy. In this time he continues to be with Mark and will realise in his heart he has fallen for Mark, wants to be with him and will break up with Ploy. Only when he goes to break things off, he will make the mistake of allowing 'a last wish' from Ploy, which ends up doing more dammage than good.

Ive been enjoying this remake. Its better than the originalBut many ppl have been wondering/complaining/debating…
Well actually he does not return to Ploy. In fact, he sets out to do the opposite and break up with her because he wants to choose Mark since Ploy left him and he was quite fine and happy being with Mark. He only makes the mistake to say yes to her final wish, which ends up causing more harm than good.

Am I missing something, the director of episode 0 is the same, and yet I am seeing this .... what to call it, different series? Did the money for the scriptwriter run out? I mean, the level of script is not even there anymore. Hate to say this, but the episode 0 was enough, now it is 12(??!!) episodes of candywatching with no meaning. I ask myself why oh why.
