Hyx fans on twitter going berserk over one twitted LYX is not fit to be CWN and he is UGLYMe: If LYX is ugly,…
Well, beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder... I occasionally shake my head at what some fans consider beautiful, but tastes seem to be different in Asia and Europe. I was very unhappy with the casting choices for The Blue Whisper and the upcoming Legend of Shen Li because the source material called for an outstandingly beautiful ML. LYX certainly conforms to my taste of symmetrical face with a decent nose (not one where you can see all the way up to the brain by standing right in front of them), but for this role, as CWN being able to act is much more important. Being able to tick both boxes is just an added benefit.
Youku made LHY promote WH today in two separate live broadcasts. He is really one of the reason this drama is…
This is quite ridiculous. The drama centres on the story of the FL. Due to the sudden success of TBOY it is now being promoted using LHY. The name was changed to create the illusion that this is a wuxia drama. All of this is bound to create expectations among his fans that the drama cannot satisfy and hence we get a bunch of angry comments trashing the FL. It wish production companies were a bit more realistic with their promotions because there's no point in getting people excited with false expectations and then disappoint them with the end product. It was the same with Unchained Love that was promoted as a dark palace drama and ended up being a romantic comedy and consequently was trashed by disappointed viewers. Is this really the end result that production companies want?
It is because he is angry. Why he is angry is explained in episode 9 or 10.
Ah, and there was me thinking that practicing indifference was part of any martial arts advancement... People keep complaining about the FL acting too innocently (or childishly, depending on personal point of view), she has amnesia, but what is his excuse?
Sigh ... Ye Xi is completely stupid and blind -- very naive and will always end in death -- she will never learn…
How could she ever learn from her mistakes if she's unable to keep her memories? Have you though this through? Without the benefit/weight of our previous experiences anyone of us would be as innocent as a newborn child and just as gullible. ML just makes demands without ever explaining why. I wouldn't follow his advice either.
"A League of Nobleman" was released. Anyone watching that?
I'm on episode 8 and so far it is very good. There's some mystery around the main characters, the cases are intriguing and in-between there are some very funny scenes. The acting is pretty good, too.
Whilst am VERY open about LGBT+, I am rather disappointed that you can’t have a mainly male cast without it…
The funny thing is nobody would ask the same question if it was a story about sisterhood... I mean, I cannot remember anyone asking "is this GL?" when watching A Dream of Splendor 😂 😂 😂 I am a firm believer in the value of friendship between any two people (including btw men and women) and it would be sad to ruin this by interpreting too much into it.
Calm down bro, just stay a quite, u will get some people mad, a lot karens in here 🤣
Without wanting to get into a political discussion here (not the place for it) I most definitely agree with your comment on double-standards in the Western countries and I'm sitting right in the heart of Europe. Whether it is unwarranted attacks on other countries (where's the difference btw Irak and Ukraine?) or human rights issues (bad when happening in China, kind of ok when happening in Saudi) or censorship (which in the West we call "fight against mis-information 🤣). It's always good to take a critical look a both sides before passing judgement.
I am loving this!!!Unpopular opinion: I actually didn’t like LJ and kept hoping he got caught with the scheme…because…
Yes, I also felt that LJ was asking for a good beating and I was unsure/afraid of how far he would go in his attempt to "silence" ZP. Had to remind myself that he doesn't know ZP to the same level as the viewers do so it is understandable for LJ to be prudent. At least ZP was able to get a tiny sweet revenge with the jujube porridge (in ep. 5) even if it was unintentional. I have the feeling in the coming episode he will wisen up very quickly and start paying back.
So far I'm enjoying this very much. The scene with the categorised firewood in ep. 5 had me absolutely in stitches! Yes, this is exactly what a person with OCD would do when locked in a woodshed 😂
Here is what I find funny and cute in the recent episode: - ZP cooked jujube in the toilet (my first time seeing…
The jujube are in the toilets for people to plug in their nose to avoid the smell. ZP briefly mentions this when he explains the changes that he's made in the toilets.
AFAIK, it's really not. Apparently, the author of the book said it so repeatedly and she really didn't like that…
You know, I really don't care whether it is or is not, as long as the story and the acting is good I'm happy. It just struck me that people seem to be unable to scroll down a bit and instead are asking the same questions over and over.
Majesty seems to be unhinged. First he was obsessed with killing himself. Then he was obsessed with Ye Zi. Is…
Hahaha, the men in this drama don't seem to come out very well. I love the fact that for once it's not the women that are portrayed as the deluded ones. Also, I though it was a nice touch to take one of the common tropes of xianxia dramas, the undying love after 2 mins of meeting the other, and show it as the ridiculous concept that it really is.
I actually like the FL. She is forced to act a bit dump by the plot, but things she says and the way she behaves…
Yes, I agree. I don't understand all the negativity directed towards the FL in some comments. Yes, she is a bit naive and tries to be nice to everyone which eventually gets her into all sorts of trouble, but she is still far better than most FLs in xianxia with their stupid voices and their childish behaviour. She looks good and so far her acting is decent as well. I guess some people are just miffed because this drama centres on the FL instead of their beloved LHY. Watching it without any preconceptions the drama is ok (given its age, budget, etc.).
Fingers crossed 🤞
