Looking back on the last day of the year, Jeremy’s “comeback year” has been quite successful. Here is a short summary of the highlights: 8th-12th January: Filmed a guest appearance on Hunan TV's variety show "Forever Young" (episodes 8, 9, and 10). The show was aired in June 2025.
14th-15th January: Filmed the vlog series "Chasing Snow in Winter" in Harbin.
2nd February: Joined the cast of "Southern Anecdote" in Hengdian in the role of Zhang Ruipu. Filmed 8 days in total, wrapped on 10th April.
7th April Joined the cast of "Blossoms of Power" in Hengdian in the role of Xiao Changqing. Filmed 54 days in total, wrapped on 7th August.
23rd June Attended the Tencent Video Drama Party in Shanghai to promote the drama "Blossoms of Power".
4th August Joined the cast of "Shadow Punisher" in Hengdian in the role of Zhou Zhu. Filmed 10 days in total, wrapped on 15th September.
12th August Joined the cast of “The Mystic Nine 2” in Hengdian in the role of Er Yuehong. Filmed 3 days in total, wrapped on 12th September.

The good news is that he has been working throughout the year, which given the dire situation of the industry and the fact that he doesn’t have any backing, is no small feat! I trust that he knows his way around and picks the right projects, even if it is only for a guest appearance.

Most of the people on that list, especially the ones at the top of it, have delivered more than one flop, so they really don’t qualify for the definition of “always gives an impressive performance”. All that list does is show which idol boy has the most fans on MDL.
Gorgeous Dream? Feels more like a dreadful nightmare… The “plot” seems to solely consist of a bunch of psychopaths torturing and killing each other. Lots of screaming and “intense” acting which, due to the mostly inadequate acting skills of the cast, looked rather ridiculous. It became boring rather quickly so I dropped it after 8 episodes.

It’s MDL, the kingdom of idol romance dramas. Since this isn’t a drama filled with silly romance, stale old tropes and mediocre acting, the rating has tanked. There are many good dramas that share the same fate.
