It is set in the same universe and should be something like a spin-off in a slightly different format.

The “keeping secrets to protect the other” was a very popular trope a few years back. It was mainly used to create conflict between the leads because there had to be an obligatory breakup before the final get-together.
All the screen writers seem to use the same set of seasonal tropes.

Who needs romance when they can have this absolute feast for the senses? Romance dramas come like one for a dozen, but this drama is absolutely unique!

I don’t know about the drama, but in the novel he went under cover and worked as a cook. So chances are he will reappear at some point.

Personally, I tend to rather believe it will be the CNY as this is a very popular moment for releasing new dramas.
