Read the synopsis and decide. Synopsis is above.
I think you misunderstood the idea of karma. People with evil thoughts/deeds will attract more of the same. This is called the law of attraction. The universe will get this done all without your active help.
If on the other hand you start killing people for revenge you become just like them. With hate in your heart you cannot find love or live a good life.

How is this the worst thing?
Revenge is destructive for all parties involved. The best revenge is to live a good life despite it all.

Watched 4 episodes so far and I just looooove the FL. She is witty and lively without being annoying, beautiful and still edgy enough to be believable as a general.
Not too impressed with the ML. He feels a bit bland. As a supposed playboy he is definitely missing some spark to make anyone believe it. And what’s with that forced husky voice? He permanently sounds like he’s trying to whisper, even in a normal conversation.
I also really like the emperor (the acting, not the character). He is wonderfully intense and it is nice to see some older actor in a prominent role.

The Opening Douban score of 5.1 taken from only 27,132 users is extremely lopsided and skewed by 35.2% of the…
I agreed with you that this drama seems to be treated unfairly. It is an ok drama to watch and would deserve a higher rating, especially in comparison with some really silly ones that did.
However, it makes me sad when I see how invested you are in trivial things like this. It’s just a TV show, it should be for entertainment, not a life purpose.

This has such a great throwback feeling to it. I know it wrapped in 2021 but if you told me that this was from…
I’ve been watching quite a few older dramas recently and I absolutely agree with your analysis! They somehow feel more real with the more natural colours and some actual men in the cast rather than the endless parade of effeminate-looking flower-boys.

I think she's also got an agent who either pushes bad roles on her (ie always playing the nitwit, like Yang Zi…
Not really. Really good directors cannot be bothered with bad actors who waste everyone’s valuable time. Good directors expect their actors to be on point and bring ideas to the table that will help to realise their vision. Many directors actually work better with strong personalities in their cast.
Maybe read a few interviews with serious directors to get some idea of their job.

It’s not the director’s job to teach newbies how to act. That’s what gathering experience in supporting roles is for and it is something she clearly hasn’t done enough of.

don't watch dramas if u like the novel. dramas pretty much never follow novels.
Totally agree. It’s manly the screenwriters who are to blame for replacing any original ideas from the novel with the same worn out cliches and even invent love triangles were there weren’t any.

There is a difference between not following every detail of the novel and totally ruining the vibe of the original material. For me Unchained Love is the perfect example of how not to do a novel adaptation: they took a dark novel (that was highly critical of the situation of women) and turned it into a f*cking comedy with shallow humour in all the wrong places.

ML with a white haired wig was giving budget Dylan Wang in Miss The Dragon and LBFAD.
Yes, I feel that throughout the drama he is trying to copy Dylan Wang’s look in LBFAD. Sadly he looks too tame to pull this off.

Last year Tencent listed it as one of the dramas to be aired 2024. Since then, no news at all…
Your guess is as good as mine… when it comes to reading signs I find the machinations of C-entertainment rather unpredictable. Some dramas release many teasers but never get aired, while others just fall from the sky with zero promotion.
There seems to be a Tencent event on 3rd Feb, maybe they’ll tell us more about what is scheduled to air in the coming months. Right now everything is more or less on hold until the Chinese New Year on 10th Feb.

Title A Journey to Love Spoiler
Yeeeaah...I dunno about this one hey!! When so many people die, it kind of kills the vibe for me. Interesting…
You nicely brought it to the point. After going through so much they deserved a better ending.
This is fantasy, so I really don’t need a “realistic” ending.

Oh, this sounds like fun!

The translation of the Chinese title is: Millennium Love Disaster...

Demon Lord Feng Ruoyao (played by Tu Zhiying) has the body of a phoenix and is the leader of the demon world. He fell in love with the immortal Mo Chenyuan (played by Yu Xuanchen) at first sight and forcibly took her back to the demon world to get married. In fact, Xianzun Mo Chenyuan has always had a good impression on Feng Ruoyao, and he was seriously injured by his half-brother. He planned to be captured by her and went to the demon world to recuperate. The two seemed to be a pair of happy enemies, but in fact they ran in both directions. No matter what obstacles they encountered, they always treated each other with sincerity, and finally eliminated the estrangement between the immortals and demons, and became a family...
