Ok, watching some really good Cdramas but this one takes it to another level. Wow. Zhou Yi Wei will rock in this…
Yes, it certainly is paying off to cast a few more experienced actors rather than just pretty faces. I mean everyone likes to look at pretty guys, but there needs a good mix of generations in the cast. Seeing all these 23-year-olds cast as prime minister or emperor is just ridiculous.
is not ML master died , then why he is at every poster of this drama ...should not he be a just a guest role ...
Maybe we’ll get to see him again later in some flashbacks when the ML get’s closer to the mystery around his father’s death. I have a feeling the master had something to do with it…
lol! i love your comment! it always makes me smile reading reviews on how good in micro-expressions some are perceived…
Same here. I grew up watching a lot of stage acting. Some actors are capable of micro-expressions, but when it comes to the pretty boys of c-dramas, most of it is in the eye of the beholder 😂😂😂
Three episodes in and I am hooked. I love the colours and the camerawork, the story is interesting and runs at a good pace to build up the mystery, but most importantly, we have an ML who can actually move his face (and who can act). At a time were plastified faces that struggle to squeeze out an emotion dominate C-dramas this is so refreshing!!!
What about the translation of the native title: "Give her a handle"? 😉
It makes no sense to me, but at least the grammar is correct.😎 I looked up the translation and the word translated as “handle” can also mean “ sth that affords an advantage to an opponent”, so keeping in mind what they’re trying to convey I would suggest something like “Cut her some slack” or, the simply correct the current title to “Have a soft spot for her”
Evil. Just evil. But you know they'll bust ass to air a LYX drama with him in it.
If you mean Shui Long Yin, that’s not done with Tencent. I think a lot of people are getting fed up with them just sitting on stuff. It’s a good thing Jeremy started working with some different companies…,
I struggle to understand why xiao shunyao is cast in a more prominent role than Fang Yilun when the latter is…
Casting should be about who fits the role best. It’s not a beauty contest. How important a role is should depend on the story, not the ego of the actor (or that of his fans).
If you want bathing scenes, I can recommend The Legend of Anle 😂😂😂😂
It was a joke, because LoA had many, many unnecessary bathing scenes that contributed nothing to the plot. I agree with you, the plot was a mess, which is really sad considering that they had good source material and a budget.
Argh, they dubbed it with some horrible American accents! I’d rather read subtitles than endure this for 32…
Yes, for any drama, I usually prefer to watch in the original. Even if it’s in a language that I don’t understand, the voices and intonation are important elements not to miss. What irks me most in this dubbed version is the weird mixture of strong American accents with the Empress having a British accent (like she is going to be the villain in the drama… 😂).
