Having watched the first four episodes, I can confidently say that if the quality remains the same, Typhoon Family might become my most favorite drama released in 2025.
Why can’t he defend himself, he’s always getting beat
I think that it's logical he's not a fighter. We had seen in other scenes, like the metro chase, that he relies on his surroundings rather his physical strength. He's not a trained fighter, he was a regular person doing drug business.
Some of the complaints regarding the mood of the drama and the story are so hilarious. You people want trauma porn, just say it out loud. Yes, the crisis was a very serious issue and I agree that it should be depicted accordingly but that doesn't mean that the drama as a whole should be full of misery and pain. People can still be happy and experience good things even under difficult circmustances.
I am not even a big fan of romance subplots and yet I see no reason why we shouldn't have a romance loveline between Tae Poong and Mi Seon. They are young people, it's logical that they'll develop feelings for each other. So far, the romance is not the focus of the main story and their ddevelopment is handled very well. The actors have great chemistry and their interactions are natural. Just because they live in a crisis that doesn't mean they are not allowed to experience romantic love. Yes, romantic relationships are not their priority for the moment but it can co-exist alongside their other issues.
I love the lighthearted moments between the characters and the comedic elements that tone down the sadness. The series is doing an amazing job so far, it doesn't belittle people's problems nor add too much drama for the sake of it. Everything feels very realistic and I hope it stays that way.
Absolutely love the bond between Typhoon Trading's employees. I love how they help each other and how they stick together no matter what. I hope that will not change by adding unnecessary drama and misunderstandings, let my found family stay together
Oh wow, the last episodes are about to be so intense and we will get even more revelations. I also appreciate Philip's development, I understand that some people might have found the gym's case boring but in my opinion, it was necessary in order to show how far Philip has come and how much of an influence Shin has been on him.
At least the rating has increased to 7.7 after that ridiculous drop to 7.4. I'm also seeing very positive receptions by Koreans based on online reactions. Hopefully more people will watch this movie.
