I cannot believe that this series was written by a rookie writer. I just refuse to believe it. How did she manage to deliver such a complex story while making each episode better than the previous one? Needless to say I'll be looking forward to her next projects.
Finished watching it. The final episode was a decent finale and provided us with closure. It's good that the writer didn't leave any lose ties and the ending managed to deliver the core message of the series: even among crisis, we should never give up. Life will be difficult and although it's not going to be easy to get through it, what matters is to surround ourselves with the right people and keep our heads up.
With all things considered, I really wish I could say that I loved this drama as other people did. The first episodes had me so hooked but the more they went on, the more I started to lose my interest. I respect the writer's attempt and the topics the drama tackled but the script should have been more tight. I do not regret watching Typhoon Family for the IMF crisis is a very important topic and I'm glad I got introduced to it through this drama. But they wanted to do so many things at all to the point the plot kinda lost its point at some times.
That dialogue between Nak Su and himself was one of the most poignant and beautiful scenes not only in this series but in all kdramas I've watched so far. Ryu Seung Ryong better win some awards for this role.
Episode 15 had some nice moments but still it felt repetitive as a whole. Once again, it's proven that the Pyos are one of the worst aspects, I am so fed up with Hyun Jun and it's such a pity that he was written so poorly.
With one episode left, I doubt my overall impression of this drama will change. It is by no means bad but the writing could have been more tight for this type of story.
Tae Poong's mom saying all men are good-for-nothing except her son and Mi Seon nodding in agreement, that was such a funny scene, not gonna lie. The look Tae Poong's mom gave at her was hilarious 🤣
One of the most enjoyable kdramas I've watched so far! The action and comedy are well ballanced and the spingles ofmystery and political corruption add to the tension. It's so sad that it's 10 episodes only but as long as the writing is consistent and the story isn't rushed, that's fine.
