Question. Wasn't an actor that got into a scandal part of this series?
Yes, that's why it was airdropped and there isn't any promotion. People keep complaining about it, but if iQIYI makes too much noise around it, there are risks of it being pulled entirely. Airdropping it quietly before the actor's scandal turned bigger and he got convicted (if he does get convicted) was the better solution. They handled it very well imo.
I didnt know the ML before but I'm actually liking him. Very handsome.
He became famous after Maiden Holmes, you should totally check it out, it's a fantastic show. The kind that nobody expected anything from and which turned into a favorite for pretty much everyone.
The quality is so good that I almost kiss my phone screen 😊😊.This is me saying I love everything about this…
24 episodes should also spare us fillers and endless misunderstandings. Crossing my fingers that it turns out excellent, but so far it's off to a great start. I've been starved for this sort of quality content.
This drama feels like the writers challenged themselves: how many tired tropes can we cram into this thing?
I'm halfway through episode 3, and so far: - ML rescued FL not even 5 minutes in. - FL proved to be the most incompetent assassin ever by literally poisoning herself with her own weapon. Any self-respecting poison master carries antidotes with them, and/or have at least some degree of immunity. But no, not our FL. Who aspires to become the n°1 assassin of her guild, btw. - In all the time she's spent unconscious and/or asleep, FL hasn't changed out of her exotic dancer outfit, meaning yes, she slept with super noisy, clinking jewelry. - It's been strongly alluded that ML knew FL before this.
...
I mean.
Is it really that difficult to give us a female assassin worth her salt? Someone actually competent, who won't need to rely on ML to constantly save them? Someone smart?
If you haven't seen Nirvana in Fire (which Liu Tao stars in), you absolutely should, it's a masterpiece. Personally,…
It is, romance is absolutely not the focus there, so don't go in there expecting that. It's a show about building a better future, about revenge, and about incredibly smart people battling it out with their brains. The acting, music, production values,... it's really, really good.

I'm so tired.
