This might have been mentioned before, but male and female twins cannot be identical twins because identical twins…
I'm not sure Cdrama biology cares about actual biology, tbh

Title Where the Mask Ends Spoiler
I am a little sad that the storyline is not super well written. I personally agree with AvenueX's statement on…
I agree with you.

It's a very enjoyable watch but you shouldn't think about it too much, otherwise it'll all come apart at the seams. A'Chou has never had to contend with the sort of intrigue that comes with the wealthy women of the inner quarters, yet she's able to foresee pretty much everything they swing at her and find a way to counter it.

And the five days deadline indeed felt completely unrealistic, no way she relearned her whole posture, way of walking, speech and so on in that time frame after 17 years on the street...

(It also feels a bit "easy" that she got people to teach her to read, write, dance and so on as a kid... I mean, what kid would ask for that sort of thing? Especially if her dad was an alcoholic gambler, he probably would be beating her up whenever she wasn't earning money for him to spend instead of letting her learn "useless things".)

But hey, I still love seeing her outsmart everyone, it's fun.

EtA: OG Wei Rao and A'Chou actually don't have the same voice, which is really cool and a nice way to tell them apart.

Title Immortality
Came here again after getting to know that my fav modern danmei A Letter From Keanu Reeves is being adapted into…
A Letter From Keanu Reeves is already out, it's called Echo of a Letter, if you didn't know. Heard it was full of AI, though, so do with that what you will.

Title Immortality
Next year they will update it to 2028 probably.I don't believe HYX will ever be released.
I'd be very surprised, to be honest. Luo Yunxi has become a superstar now and Chen Fei Yu is very popular as well. I don't think they'd want their names attached to a BL adaptation, even heavily censored. It'd be very risky at this point in their careers. And as much as I want to see this show and others like Sha Po Lang, I wouldn't want the actors' career to be destroyed because of them.

Hi, could you DM me where you read the translated novel please? Or guide me to where it might be?
No idea, sorry! I've bought the first two volumes but haven't read them so far. I suppose we as readers who can't understand Chinese wouldn't be in a position to be picky since there's no other way to read the novels they translate, unfortunately. I do have my own beef with 7S considering their very dubious practices, but we're stuck with them for now, I'm afraid.

It's been licensed by Seven Seas under the name Silent Reading. Five volumes are already out, the sixth and final one will release in April 2027.

I think we can think about it as mostly fantasy at this point. But it kinda feels good to see the villains punished…
Not sure with your first point. Where I'm at, it's become terribly difficult to find a job even with multiple master's degrees, so imagine if you graduate super late and don't even have a diploma...

does anyone have kdramas that are good as this one to recommend?
That's a bit vague... what are you looking for, exactly? For thrillers, I'd recommend Mad Dog, Tunnel, Blind, Healer, The Veil and L.U.C.A. (And Circle!)
The Player is also a fantastic blend of thriller and found family.
Some people will recommend Taxi Driver because it's very similar to this, although very humiliation-oriented (didn't like it except for the main theme which is fire, personally, but to each their own).

Title Sword God
both are pretty good. altough I thought be yourself was funnier and i watched it a few times. this one turned…
It's just the sort of wrapped thinking that gets very common in series with this sort of premise. It's like his former masters and sect-mates: Zhao Feiyang seems like a reasonable person, so why do they all hate him so much and want to see him fail? They're all hypocritical morons with no logic at all, but that's the way things are with this trope (more often than not, at least).

Another thing you'll see often in donghuas with this sort of plot is a family's heir being absolute trash, getting a good beating by the protagonist's hands, and then their elders coming in all self-righteous and indignant to try and put a 17-year-old "in his place" because how dare he beat up their precious baby.

All that to say that Cuihua's behavior making no sense is kind of expected for this type of show.

If you want more of this sort of plot, I'd recommend donghuas. "Renegade Immortal", for example, is a masterpiece.

Omg yes! I hate her so much. She better not end up in his harem, she deserves hell.
