I guess all the deaths at the end was a half a**ed attempt to give us a dark theme.
Wasn't everything dark we saw in the trailer packed into the first two, maybe five episodes? After that, it just became very regular.

Yes, it is. Not everybody has the means to pay for a gazillion subscriptions. It doesn't cost them anything to warn people that they won't be uploading the whole thing. At least iQIYI is consistent about it. Youku literally uploaded 19 episodes and dropped it out of nowhere.
