I watched 1 ep n dropped it...does it get better later? I couldn't really watch it even at 1.5x speed...gave it…
It really doesn't imo. The plot is stupid, the characters are stupid, the relationships feel hollow and baseless, and the CGI doesn't get any better. And yet somehow, I'm still here waiting for the last episodes to become available. Go figure.
I dont know how it is in novel but i loved the confrontation. It was mature and conversation exactly to the point…
It didn't bother me, I didn't know where the garage was exactly compared to them. Also, it mirrored the scene from the past in which she had to chose and went first to SY, then told him she had to go home and went back to her brother. Now she goes straight to SY. I think it was very well done.
I know some people hate MYC but i honestly think that he should be the only family member Xu Qin keeps contact…
I absolutely agree with you. I never hated him. It's way more difficult to cut ties with your family than a lot of people seem to think, and he was raised in an emotionally abusive household, how is he supposed to realize he's unwittingly perpetuating the circle? Especially since he latched onto her as the only light in his life out of abject fear of being left alone in the dark, as he puts it. I really hope his conversation with Song Yan can be the catalyst he needed to finally break out from his cage and find his freedom and happiness.
from the moment Ye Zi saw him @ the bar the first time and spilled the drink, I can't stand her scenes. She looked…
She's been suspicious from the beginning: the way she looked at him wasn't the starstruck type but definitely pointed, and then the car-scratching made her even more fishy. What's funny, though, is that if she's in it for the money, then she couldn't have found a worse target. His mother would sonner bury her and her entire family than let anything happen, and even if she did let it happen, she would be a nightmare.
ep 25 yes it's worth it and i'll suggest not to skip the previous episode you'll enjoy the dating era even more…
Absolutely worth watching, and I usually dislike modern romances. This is very well-written, with well developed characters, beautiful directing, excellent firefighting scenes, touching bromance, great chemistry between the leads and realistic growth. I don't recommend skipping anything either (and again, this comes from me, a serial fast-forwarder).
There are 34/40 episodes out on Viki, that's more than enough to tell this show is rubbish. Even Xu Kai seems…
Agreed. Episode 1 was very bad already but we know to give it a bit of time because sometimes it doesn't mean anything, but this is very, very bad. No way they can suddenly turn this into a masterpiece.
1. I don't know yet 2. Terrible, completely illogical, people are stupid, contrived plot devices, ML is a Gary Stu, FL is a Mary Sue, awful production values and CGI 3. Pretty much none 4. Maybe one around episode 12, I think?
I love that the leads have so much dimension that we can do a whole psychoanalysis on their relationship and personalities.…
Agreed. Modern romances usually aren't my thing at all, but I felt like I could spend fifteen minutes talking about our leads' personality and issues after watching five episodes, and that's what makes this show so special to me. It's been so long since a piece of media has been written cleverly enough that it would let me analyze things and draw my own conclusions instead of telling me right off the bat.
I guess after finding out her identity they didn't care to find out. Also she's a disciple of one of the elders…
True, I forgot about that. The parents saving them in the last fight is another thing that's completely nonsensical imo: like, they're rulers, don't they have an army to send out? how come the kid managed to sneak out?
I guess after finding out her identity they didn't care to find out. Also she's a disciple of one of the elders…
I don't think being a disciple of an Elder justifies you sneaking into a super secret chamber with dangerous artefacts with a thief disguise... Any other drama would have had the both of them severely punished.
