It definitely brought more questions than answers.... I generally dislike using time travel to tell a story, and when it is used, it usually just falls flat.

I know seeing two Yan An as Yuan Xi Zai and Yuan Wu Huo probably confused a lot of people. When I clarify, they aren't twins. Yuan Xi Zai / Yuan Wu Huo did help some people... but then again, it also doesn't help that the butterfly demon were twins and that birth Li Jie and the Butterfly demon (Yuan Wu Huo version) from consuming old Yuan Wu Huo.

But from what you wrote, it's almost like you are saying JL is the main character. And the LWY's purpose is to make him shine.

I know some people would even argue that JL Fox form the actual Fox was also a showcase of his charm and innocence

Totally, there always many layers to this.

LWY parallel alot of JL.

JL memory in the past with LWY has always been what he got from puppet JL.

he did not experiences and feel any of them. But he still end up falling for LWY.
