Watching this drama at 1.75x was so hilarious, especially when the Galileo song started playing. Was just too funny, I know if it was a Kdrama the mukjang would just be extra. It's like the tame version of Marry my Husband.
This also means that there will be lots of malicious articles about YAI. The other bullies in South Korea are the tabloid newspapers. Unless you are protected like the other big actors they will drag your name until they're satisfied. They gang up against weaker celebs, running multiple stories about them . I pray, YAI will stand strong against the coming onslaught.
I was like, "The beginning is such a cliche, like a manhwa/webtoon." It turns out it is a webtoon. kinda predictable with the same type of themes, but will see.
It's interesting you'd say that, seeing it is apparently obvious from most people's point of view. But I can tell…
From the point of view of the movie and most Asian culture going to a hotel or an apartment with a man usually means you're consenting to a happy time with them. While I don't want to play into the "bad victim" or " good victim" narrative. She only informs the guy who she says is her friend when they are on the bed that she is aroace. A conversation should have happened before that moment to manage his expectations. I could almost tell that it was building up to that "misunderstanding" which is something I don't agree with when dealing with subjects of "aroace" people.
I think she never had a proper conversation with the guy about why she didn't want to get married, even to her family she never explicitly speaks about being "aroace". She was even visibly upset when the guy cut off contact with her, which made me wonder what exactly she was expecting from him.

This is different from kissing on the cheek or hugging. Going to a guy's apartment alone that's not your brother or father is taking things too far without setting boundaries first.
She never set any boundaries with him or spoke about her asexual nature to him in all their friendship, so he wasn't wrong in assuming that he thought she wanted to sleep with him.
I'm not interested in romantic relationships too, but I manage people 's expectations early on by telling them of my situation and making sure the friend zone boundary is very very clear. I kill all romantic expectations and show that I'm only offering friendship. This is the only way I can be safe.
It's like learning social cues, to say thank you & hello by reading situations.
There's an obscure site that I just found this. Let me know if you're still interested in watching it. but subs are in french, not a problem for you since you understand Japanese right?.

Cute and low-effort drama. I'm always so critical of shoujo/josei manga live-action dramas and only a few click with me. I think this one had such good dialogue, though the fairy music was pretty much too much.
I liked Sakamoto - Ichikawa couple the most. What’s wild is that their actual ages is just 1 year difference!…
It could be the styling & make-up since they want the woman to appear as though she is the superior and senior of the guy. They also seem to want the guy to appear dorky, soft, innocent and virginal.
When the actress/actor is an idol you can expect a lot of fake reviews.
Do they also stop being famous or not? Where do all their fans from their idol days go? 😂 🤣 😅 Do you see how ridiculous that sounds. It's like saying Michael Jackson / Elvis Presley stops being famous coz they're dead and have moved to the afterlife or wherever dead people go.
Former idols don't start their acting careers with zero fans, they already have an edge and an audience. You acquire more fans, which is different from people who start out as just actors.

Hyeri alone has almost 10 million followers on Instagram and while she was hugely popular on Reply 1998 it was because she was an idol. So I don't get people denying that she was an idol and has an idol following. Same thing with all former idols
Sandra Park (Dara) hasn't been an idol in a long time but she still has the same popularity. Lee Junho hasn't been an idol in years but people go crazy when he has a drama.
So one doesn't stop being an idol just because they stopped doing concerts.
Took me too long to watch this, what a great surprise. Enjoyed it, I thought it wld be boring to watch one guy the whole movie but it was interesting. Whose in the marriage photo at the end?
