I also started this when I saw the scene where FL is fighting ML. But, unfortunately we got another "bubbly" (this is insult) FL.

I agree. This amnesic and whiny FL is dragging for too long.

Well... I dislike jealousy trope, but those two made an art out of it, lol.

I would like to give you an answer, since I am on this page, but I was FFing all scenes where she was bullied bcs it triggers me badly. Unfortunately, her being captured lasts long, and it has some twists.

FL does not have 6 senses so her sens of the world is different. Will you "hate" her depends on 2 things: first, she is little childish and slow due to her lack of senses. Second, it depends how you feel about "I am lying to you, I am manipulating you and hiding the truth from you because I am protecting you" trope = I hate this trope so I didn't like male lead who was doing this to FL. But, people who have no problem with this trope would see FL as annoying and "unworthy of ML", because after few lies she stopped believing him and did some things to hurt him. If he didn't lie that wouldn't happen. And third, yes... she keeps yelling Si Feng, Si Feng, Si Feng, it hurts your ears.
BUT, the leads have GREAT chemistry! One of the best I've seen in dramas. And both of them are so very protective of each other, would die for it.

Misunderstandings are very frustrating because there are many of them, most of them are there as plot device, and some of them are very stupid and insulting to your IQ.
But, it is a good, "rich" story.

Well, it's because of, I quote, "his acting skills". LOL. (What acting skills?)

The Legend of the Worst Group of People. I couldn't find one single character to like. All of them are so unlikable. So worthless. For the first time I didn't want happy ending for any of them. They talk talk talk, they don't say anything of importance. They talk talk talk, but they do not listen each other. Lies, misunderstandings, plots, more lies, more misunderstandings. Some cheesy fluff. That's it.

FL is not stupid at all. She is FORCED to marry ML as his concubine, not even as his official wife. ML and FL treat each other kind and gentile. It is just that she is not in love with him and misses her family very much. That is the reason she wants to leave and go home. Only emotionally disabled persons would not understand that.
She will fall in love with ML and she will be his biggest support in his career aspirations.

I have never ever been so disgusted and annoyed by a character and an actress who plays it in my entire life as I was watching FL in episode one. The terrible screaming she does and terrible cringeworthy acting are over the top.

I don't understand ML casting at all. Is he some huge star in Taiwan and China, so he was cast for traffic?
It is not how old the actor is but how old his character looks, and ML looks like 45 years old uncle.

I, myself, am very interested to see the Hua family dynamic after men return from exile and how will they cope with the new reality. I wonder if this even exists in the novel (feel free to spoil it for me if it does).
Unfortunately, I am afraid that they might rush the ending, as in 99.99% of chinese dramas.

True. ML is in very difficult situation, and now he will do something about it. So, break up was very needed.

Yup. Emperor doesn't care about right and wrong, and being at his side will bring nothing good to ML.
Break up will push ML hard and there has to be character grow, because he has better people around him now, and he lost that. FL was selfless in this situation and the emperor was as selfish as one can be. ML needed a wake up call and this is it.

I agree with you. She did him a big favor, because he has to think and rethink things now and I hope for some serious character grow. Even his own sister throw stones an him, and not knowing it is him was blessing for her. So, now losing his (Hua, and his sister is Hua now, lol) family will push him to fight for them and for himself. The emperor sent clear message that our ML can't have both. It was miscalculation from his side, since ML will chose Huas. Good script writing.

I know I am the only one, but i am glad that she broke up with Butcher's Little Helper. Now, he can go and "reflect" if the emperor is really someone who deserves all that loyalty.

It is obvious they are after money. I just hope they are only fishing and that they don't really own trademark for Cheng Yi's stage name.

Tbh, the only reason I was interested in this drama was to see how YBY and LXY will suit together as a couple this time, bcs they had good chemistry in L&R. I'm sorry this is not going to happen.
And, nothing against new actress!!!
