I think I have given 9.0 to few dramas and for that, they must have great acting, writing, screen play, uniqueness and no stupidity. I have yet to find anything in Asian industry, which would excite me to give full 10 score to anything.
The only 10/10 thing I have ever watched was "The GodFather" and it had legendary method actors !

I have not watched any DL drama before, but he lacks the "ML charisma and confidence" and it shows in his acting. Its kind of difficult to define but the role was of "Domineering General" and he is giving off weak/beta/cuck energy.

ML do look like "ANUBIS" but he will pay for this insolence, I bet his embalmed body can't even survive years.....yet Anubis work has been found dating back to as 6th dynasty old kingdom almost 5000 years old and in perfect condition.

Try "Lighter and Princess" after this and I also started with k-dramas but then they started doing shenanigans and lost their uniqueness. Now majority of them follow the same formula with good first half, okay mid and underwhelming last part.
Now with that being said, I won't blame you cuz there are some "utterly trash" c-dramas out-there and they may have turned you off but I recommend you following,

Go ahead (great drama and masterpiece and Koreans are making its adaptation now, but I am warning you its heavy).
I like you cuz you watch stuff from industries....I lack knowledge in Japanese and Thai....after 2017, c-dramas will have quality equal to if not better than K-dramas but the sheer volume of them means. There are a-lot of bad apples, so you make decisions based on directors and actors.
