Firstly Our Blooming Youth was not lighthearted cuz its story has some depth to it, crash course has very old leads and all other are pure trash.
I usually don't watch anything below 8.4.

I have checked your watch-list, there are still 100's of good dramas left for you to watch. I on the other hand had watched almost everything.

He is not wrong (considering his limited knowledge) but he is not right either cuz Chinese drama industry has come a long way in these five-8 years. You can literally watch historical drama of 2016 and watch modern one like "Till the end of moon" and the VFX/acting is 1000 times better now.
I think same goes for Chinese Modern drama's, they have come a long way and know are better than K-drama industry.
Chinese population use to love "Historical drama" but now its opposite, I challenge you to watch "Go-Ahead" and other modern dramas after 2019 and you will see the difference.
Modern Chinese drama's like "You are my glory" and Falling in to your smile are in top 5 by the amount of viewers in China right now. Its my personal opinion but K-drama industry has lost its way.
C-drama industry has long overtaken them, both in quality and quantity

Well, you are wrong here cuz Love like the Galaxy was the most watched Chinese drama in 2022 and now Till the end of Moon has overtaken everything.
Your list is extremely outdated, and nobody watch these ancient drama's anymore.

Its been a very dry year so far and people are tired of serious stories now, if you want unique and deep shit, go watch Dr. Cha or Dr. Romantic Season 3 and leaves us alone to enjoy this piece.

I personally believe audience has become extremist to some extent, its just pilot episode which was supposed to introduce the characters and they even go as far as to leave it at cliff-hanger but still hate gang has managed to downvote it.
The same thing happened to "Till the end of Moon", its very highly acclaimed series everywhere (it has broken almost every C-Drama industry record) but due to sad ending hate-mongering gang destroyed its rating here on MDL and it rated as mediocre drama, which is un-fair to future viewers.

I think they made mistake with subtitles, its his MoM, otherwise casting director should be trailed for "Crimes against Entertaiment".

Watch Go-ahead, although its modern drama but it tops LLTG but if your remove Lusi out of LLTG it becomes nothing but even the side characters of this one are written properly.

We know your kind is known internationally for "Crimes against Humanity", so you don't have to make it obvious here. If you want to prove a point, you should start by stating the facts and then support your arguments with examples.
The story is bit advance for your liking, so I would recommend watching other shows (its Okay to be not Okay) like this before coming to this one.

Its very happy ending just don't watch last 5 min.

Just bear with it for 10 episodes and allow the plot to un-fold, I can guarantee you its worth the effort.

Oh my god, you are like Demon Lord of Asian drama's....so this lvl 1 soldier humbly request her highness to recommend him, some good period drama with palace politics elements in it.

Its a brilliant drama and I will recommend this to anybody....I am harsh critique, but I will still put it in league with Love like the galaxy and other 9 rated drama. The only problem I have with this drama is last 5 min.
It has ultra bad ending, but you can simply ignore it...people have deducted at-least 1 point for rating.

So the last part was producer....fucking up with them.
