Majority of extended family (my father cousins) have High school diplomas and are living off their ancestor's wealth like typical spoiled brats. anyway you should watch "in between" according to novel FL two timed her boyfriend, then he cheated on her with SFL, leading to 21st century couple swap, the female leads dumped second leads and started dating third parties and everybody had a happy ending. I have never seen a drama dedicated to cheating and I am more interested in the fat, how c-drama directors let it slide !

I think you should give it a try for about first 6 episodes before making the final call, who knows ML was big red flag and abuser (still breaking up would have been better) but we had way too many "Ever Green leads" stuff this year and I was waiting for something modern and darker. You may be surprised to know that but 21st century couple swap is very common and in fashion now, same goes for two timing both sides do it and then brag about it to their friends (I know my Gen-Z is cooked).

I get you point of view, at the end of the day we are all different cuz we faced different circumstances and difficulties in life leading, yes people do hide things cuz of complicated reasons but somethings, their importance and consequences transcend beyond the realm of fear into emergency situations. I was waiting for episodes of this week to drop before making the final call on Love next door, and I really hope drama takes a "Time Lapse" of 5-6 months before entering the dating era. "But you never know if we might reconnect in a few years time and take the leap" I have already taken the leap with my friend of 15 years, 6 years ago (I am 24 M) and after hearing the experience from other party, I can tell you. She knew even before me that our relationship exceeds the bounds of friendship, and we were struggling to keep the lid on it. Then due to some misunderstanding stemming from her side, we grew apart and I didn't talk to her like for 2 years but when we reconnected at 17 in medical college. It was clear we are dating without dating and I took the first step (she was teasing), the drama failed to portray the difficulty of forming boundaries and increasing closeness, which usually leads to acknowledgement of truth from one party. As for cancer thing, sorry you have to go through that but I have not experienced anything like this and for me...its peak stupidity, to not tell your family members about something as important as stage 3 cancer, when there is a high chance next time they see your face. You will be lying dead in a casket, its like emotional terrorism.

I was loving Love next door until the introduced they "Cancer troupe" and now I don't even feel the need to finish the drama now. I can tell you that much "Friends to lover topic" is not realistically portrayed at all. This whole they love each other and didn't knew it till 30+ trope is completely fake and let me tell you from experience, you know for a fact that person likes you. Now you may not say it out loud or voice it to save yourself the humiliation and fear of losing her as an integral part of your life. but nobody is making out of adolescence hormone rage without saying it or doing anything stupid, no-good friend is going to hide such an important information like cancer from her bestie.
You have point here my grandma is archaic😂😂😂😂, but I love her to death. She is very smart woman who knew the importance of education and bachelor's degrees even in 1970's and made sure all her children got best education.

Its a very sad ordeal and family members usually cries but at my cousin marriage, this was her final advice to her, "Keep his stomach/tummy full and balls empty, and he will always be happy with you" She tried to say it in low voice but almost half of the family members heard it (mind you this is a sad moment). So, in my experience grannies usually give good advice😂😂😂.

It's also being told from Villian perspective, so they are not trying to justify CHEATING or anything like this. The only complain I would have is, they should stay true to the novel and don't turn ML's into ever green virgins !

People who have read the novel told me, she two timed ML. Then ML cheated on her with SFL, then we have 21st century couple swap. After that both ladies breakup with SML and SFL and starting dating somebody third party, while guys marry other people but ML end up being miserable and FL end up alone....very happy. So all in all ML's life was turn into misery buy FL have happy endings !

Then prince Qi is dead and they have completed their mission, it makes zero sense for them to live in Liang after this and increase their chances of getting caught, nor is Wei royal family going to allow them live in Liang, get caught and start a war between two kingdoms. If they were really Wei assassin's, they would have extracted them from Liang to relative safety of their kingdom Wei or silenced them all together.
