It was SML mother who did it to give justification to General Lu to gain prestige by massacring and conquering Yunleo, SML (PM Pei) father discovered this and hence it was not that. He can't find Yang sister but he has to lie to cover up for his wife (SML mom) ambitions to dethrone the emperor with her hidden army...she/emperor may even have silenced/punished SML father for it.

Landy Li has been on a roll recently, let me tell you something. It's not easy to hold your own in front of acting behemoths like Allen Ren and Jeremy Tusai. She is doing phenomenal job here and FL character is beautifully written, she is portraying how "Intelligent and strong" character supposed to look like, being reckless don't equate to being smart and strong FL.
I liked it how she knows SML has imprisoned her and his final purpose is to force her against her will and turn her into a CAGED CANARY, unlucky for him FL is a smart and calculating person, and in her own words. No matter how beautiful and glamours cage would be with golden bars and high pavilion, at the end of the day for free spirted person like her it's a cage. Furthermore, she didn't "Sacrificed good in her" just cuz other people are being asshole. She is using her intelligence and calculating nature to make sound decisions like not trying to run away from SML and faking loyalty. She knows he is powerful Marquis, who has spread false rumours in the world that she is his maid and if she runs, he will catch her back immediately. She needs someone strong to rely on to get rid of SML and ML haven't made any moves or made his intentions clear.
So, she is biting her times and waiting for right opportunity to appear before making her move and I am really happy, we got to see layered and another actually strong FL character in 2024.


Side note: Guys that how SML's are supposed to act, Jeremy Tusai in this role has done far worse things than nutsack (SML) from TPR but we didn't hate him cuz Jeremy is phenomenal actor, who managed to portray his helplessness in front of his family (far worse than SU family in TPR) properly.

We are already witnessing it, FL had seen through SML plan of using whole stabbing sequence and Emperor knows now to get close to her and ruin her reputation outside.

I think drama will play it safe and that moment will arrive by ep 18.

FL at this point of time has asked SML multiple times to let her go but he has repeatedly "brushed her wishes" aside and forced his will on her. He designed the whole now Emperor knows, and you have stand with me threat and much more.
He is a toxic and obsessive personality but lucky for us, character is played a phenomenal and seasoned actor like Jeremy Tusai, hence he was able to portray the character in positive light, all these mannerism and way to talk to FL wasn't written in the novel. He reimagined the complex character in positive light. FL final objective in life is: Free bird roaming the beautiful world, filled with peace and prosperity. She is willing to work for it.
SML: Final Objective in life is GLORY of Pie family "by Hook or by Crook" way, he is quite ruthless in its pursuit and will do anything to achieve it. This is typical villain mentality!
So, they are completely incompatible and ep 11 will be day, drama will flash back on as the moment SML completely lost FL.

Again MaM watch the last part of latest episode again, ML mother mentioned army, which ML is helping her hide in the city.

I completely agree with you on this one but SML has proven himself to be the bigger asshole and problem here and I am glad, we have intelligent FL who recognized it, makes conscious decisions and is trying to escape from her imprisonment in his villa. ML on the other hand, all bark but no bite. Although he belongs to a ruthless assassination organization, but he has not killed anybody, nor have his former friends and subordinates. They always plan the whole thing meticulously to avoid deaths.
SML in his own words will kill and devastate his way to his objective and it would be proven in upcoming episodes !

First I want to be known in court and law, I like FL character a lot but ML is all talk and no bite. ML has not killed a single person upto this point but SML has killed multiple people, like when he was watching ML harass FL from shadows.
SML and his mother literally acknowledged the existence of large undercover army belonging/loyal to Pei family alone.... What do you think they have hidden army for?

Lol, SML is ruthless killer who uses FL las a lab rat (multiple times and every time she gets hurt cuz of it even Cui lang called him out on this) and but unfortunately for him, this isn't typical "Dismal in distress" type of Fl. She is hella intelligent and caught on to him in his act and now wants to leave him.

I feel you but FL involvement was directly responsible for ML friends death, she even accepted her crimes, and all the other assassination attempts can be blamed on SML. Who is using her as a lab rat to lure out ML?

How many people did SML and his associates killed?
How many ML people did she got killed by her involvement?

I like the Cui dude too but the actor in question is known for roles in which he becomes EXTREMLY OBSSESIVE (mentally insane lvl ) SML in the latter part of the drama.
